Most definitely. There's one with about ~5 or 7 Madoka civs in one mod. I have about twelve. That said, it does seem there's some difficulties in setting up mods for multiplayer, so someone might have to find a workable solution if we want to bring those in as well.

Right, then. After trying to get some screenshots, it seems like Puush is having some difficulties on my end. I am unable to check whether other people are having difficulty with that. Anyway, it seems screenshots are out for the time being. Sorry for the delay >< Are there any other ideas on your end?

I've recently been getting back into Civ V, and I've been thinking about setting up some multiplayer matches with Fuwa. It's not something I'm very knowledgable in, but hopefully we might be able to get some started. Right now I'm thinking quick game pace, and probably a lot of anime-related civ mods. Not to keen on changing key gameplay aspects, though. What does everyone else think?

Still having some trouble figuring this out. Was unable to decipher the idea above >< I'll see if I can get some screenshots up, I've just been a little sick lately. Sorry for the delay.

I say we go with male characters first time around. Mare already gave the girls a turn.

I feel like many good things are coming out of this thread. I also feel like this will cause someone to go insane. Both are viable outcomes.

Fuwanovel does not have a gender. Considering Steve is in charge though, I suspect it would be more likely to be female.

I can't tell how this would work out, although I would quite like Battler to be up on the banner sometime.

Attempts have failed. Running the software as per the instructions results in DAEMON Tools Pro driver error: 1500 Update was declined as per the instructions in the re-named file. Running the re-named file has no effect. It also states something about compatibility issues, but I am unaware as to how to solve it.
-
I'm aware of what DAEMON is, however I'm having mild difficulty figuring out how to actually install that software. The seem to be 'instructions' on a renamed file inside the download, but I'm both unsure of if the renamed file is actually part of the install, or if using it will mess up the install in some way and cause more problems later down the road.

Are you running your computer with Japan system locale? (link to instructions): Yes Game Name: Muv-Luv Description of Problem: Install difficulties, .ccd file not running. Your Operating System: Windows 8 64 or 32 bit (link to how to find): 64 What did you already try? (Uninstall/Reinstall, Redownload, Run as admin, etc): Not much, as I am not sure of a direction. Did you download your game from Fuwanovel?: Yes Recently, I grabbed Muv-Luv from the site. I noticed that some people have had issues with installing, so I read through the PDF file and whatnot. However, I do not have the tools to open up the MUVLUV_EXTRA.ccd file. I am also unfamiliar with aspects on making the install believe a disc is inserted, and although there are likely tutorials for it there, some info here as well wouldn't hurt. It seems that the folder also comes with DAEMON, which seems to be a program used to assist with the install. However, I am unfamiliar with the software, and cannot find much on getting it sorted out. As I'm concerned I might mess up at some point, which could result in further problems, I'm hoping for some direction so as to get this right, as I've heard Muv-Luv as a whole is somewhat infamous on the site, and I'd like to avoid any larger problems that may occur.

Of course there's fun in it. Otherwise I wouldn't be asking~

I'm wondering what other types of horrible stuff this could have. In all honesty poisoning the school's food supply seems much more interesting than straight-up stabbing people. Keep the blood to a minimum, I should say.

Request: Removal of Grisaia and Planetarian Torrents
Zodai replied to solidbatman's topic in Voluntary Tech Support
The point about the videos is something I can't agree with in this case. Fuwanovel doesn't have the traffic for a point of 'simply being on this site will grant more sales', regardless of whether it's a video of the real thing. Fuwa doesn't have the notoriety, nor the reach for that to happen. Most people who come here probably already know about the games anyway. -
Request: Removal of Grisaia and Planetarian Torrents
Zodai replied to solidbatman's topic in Voluntary Tech Support
As for the steam thing, it's a service issue - I can say for a fact that 90% of the games I have on steam I wouldn't have gotten otherwise - either because I heard about them through steam, or steam is the most convenient way to obtain it, or the stigma of going through unfamiliar territory to buy it from the actual site. The piracy increases fanbase argument is for a world where the products aren't easily obtainable otherwise, such as is the case for most VNs. Steam's just opening the door for a fanbase that probably came to be in the first place because people were able to play them and get attached to the genre. As for removing the Fuwan torrent, personal opinion states waiting until the games are actually on steam. There's also the issue of whether or not the transfer to all-ages will remove any meaningful content, as is the case with If My Heart Had Wings. I'm all for increasing the localization of the games, but I don't think rushing to a solution posthaste is the best idea. It's going to take some thought on a lot of issues - Steam's effect vs Piracy's effect, whether or not the removal of H content lost anything memorable, and whether or not the translators would prefer a small H recovery patch on the internet somewhere. Lots of issues to be sorted out here... -
I don't know how to react to this, but I do have to ask. Is this a concept, something you're making yourself or something someone else is making? -- Derp. Didn't read in-detail enough >< Now I have different questions. Are these actual gameplay screens or just mockups?
-
I'm going to make another interjection - simply because a game contains gameplay, does not mean the primary form of engagement IS gameplay. It contains walking around, yes - but it's not the primary reason the game is played - the reason you play The Walking Dead is for the narrative, which is the same as what exists in visual novels.
-
I'm actually a fan of Sekai Project - at the very least they seem to not be doing anything terrible, and everyone's happy to get more games over here. Just wanted to put that in here.

This should be interesting. I haven't finished Grisaia yet, but I should grab it if it ends up on steam. Best of luck to those translating it. Doesn't Grisaia also have a sequel or two?

Starting a small VN-development group, looking for a team.

Thanks, everyone. I'll see if I can get people notified of stuff. I'll also work towards getting some examples of my stuff up here. Some of them have been quite well-received. -
I'm at a lost for words... (HuniePop discussion)

I can understand what's wrong with this but I can't figure out a way to articulate it. Q_Q -
Since Telltale's kind of the big 'adventure game' dev in recent times, I thought I'd start here. Do Telltale's games - such as The Walking Dead, etc - count as Visual Novels from a design perspective? They're certainly narrative-based, and do away with more of the puzzle-like aspects that people put into the 'adventure game' area. Is this a prime example of a OELVN done in such a way that most of us don't recognize it? Is it still a VN even though it does away with large amounts of aspects commonly associated with VNs? How does this relate to traditional VNs that do away with the 'dating sim/eroge' elements commonly associated with the genre, such as Umineko, or even something like Fate/Stay Night, despite it still being an eroge? How do the more traditional OELVNs, such as Dischan's works and the coming slew of other VNs that will no doubt be released over the next few years, compare and compete against these?

Actually, I think it's just because everything you said was already covered in my post. Not much more relevant information.
