  1. So I want to type 如何して with my IME. どうして doesn't bring it up. Can anyone help? (Yes, I know it's normally written in kana)

  2. I did the same with Eien no Aselia...I definitely plan to get back to it but the extra content isn't enough to make me replay it straight away. Princess Waltz was pretty decent. It doesn't make it onto my top list but I don't regret playing it.
  3. This week's Music Spotlight features Toradora's first ED, Vanilla Salt! I would love one of those little tigers >.> http://t.co/l9w547vhva

  4. The only one I can think of (and it's not really a textbook, I guess) is Tae Kim's guide to Japanese grammar. It's got a pretty decent .PDF http://www.guidetojapanese.org/grammar_guide.pdf You've probably already seen it linked around here but I hope it helps anyway =)
  5. Time Hollow is a Nintendo DS game/VN about time travel and stuff. Is it worth picking up? Eh. http://t.co/LRkhr87iRr

  6. Finished Ys I & 2 Chronicles and moving onto Ys: The Ark of Napishtim. I've been told it's like a less polished Ys: The Oath in Felghana and that does seem to be the case.
  7. I would love to do this if I wasn't busy with university...and if I knew any Japanese grammar at all (at the moment it's just kanji - 550 and counting!). In any case, good luck to you and whoever you pair up with!
  8. I think my longest was watching Sword Art Online over 1 day and the next morning. That was planned, though. I don't normally marathon anime.
  9. Well that's Ys I & II finished. Since i'm waiting for a steam sale for Origins...i'm sort of at a loss for what to play.

  10. Is Go! Go! Nippon! Worth playing?

  11. South side reporting in. I think it span counter-clockwise, but our toilets don't have a whole lot of spinning going on so it was hard to tell >.>
  12. Okay, that's the same as me then. I'm putting it together pretty slowly though; got the arms and legs done so far. I'll be very interested in seeing your finished product...I only plan to use some leftover hobby paints with normal brushes to touch up some of the unfinished bits (eg. the studs on the shield). Since it all clips together pretty well I haven't been using glue, though I would just use normal modelling glue if I did. I'm pretty small-time when it comes to models >.<
  13. Ooh, almost the same model as the one i'm putting together. My one has the shield though. Do you plan on doing any extra painting once it's all together?
  14. Second the idiot friends part. If I ever see another "but what if I put it in the wrong hole?!" joke in a visual novel...I might just snap. Some of the Edelweiss character routes were alright, though I don't feel they justify reading the rest of it. As for the art style...do you feel the same way about Kira Kira's? Or is it just the blinking eyes?
  15. Better not-quite-late than never! To Love-Ru's first ED Kiss no Yukue features in this week's music spotlight! http://t.co/7HYHzKAHpI

  16. I've been traumatized by Lu-Bu in the Dynasty Warriors games, so I couldn't really warm up to Ren XD
  17. Finished Another and really enjoyed it; just have the OVA to go. Next up i'm gonna watch Chuunibyou demo Koi ga Shitai! (along with Elfen Lied, of course).
  18. Onto Umineko no Naku Koro ni!
  19. Well that's Higurashi. I...kind of don't know what to say. The ending was very enjoyable, in any case ^_^

  20. While i'm not sure the 7 chapters leading up to it were worthwhile, Higurashi's final installment has succeeded in getting my blood boiling!

  21. Fan service itself isn't a terrible thing. It doesn't turn me off a show and i'm sure that if I was single I would enjoy it. My issue with fan service is that it distracts from other more important aspects of a series. Just as an example, To Love-Ru showed that it can have a plot if it wants to but for the first two seasons it just faffed around looking for excuses to show off fan service. The other problem is that fan service limits who I can watch an anime with. There's nothing quite as awkward as sitting through a fan-service-heavy episode with your girlfriend sitting next to you. Fan service can actually be a good thing in other cases. High School DxD was able to set up a plethora of hilarious situations that other shows just wouldn't be able to pull off (and it had a plot, to boot!). Having said all that, I do plan to continue with To Love-Ru when the next season releases because Darkness was entertaining. I'll take your advice and check out Elfen Lied
  22. Just finished To Love-Ru and I have to admit that Darkness was a big step up for the series (despite the increase in fan service). The first two seasons just sort of meandered along doing nothing but Darkness had at least a semblance of a plot. It was a tad weird that the previous main heroines took a back seat, though i'm not complaining because Momo is Best Girl. Not sure what to watch next. Does anyone have any good 12 episode shows to recommend? I'm watching Another with my girlfriend but I need something to watch myself.
  23. And while i'm at it, a friend of mine is starting a new blog, so i'd love for you to support them! http://t.co/BfTMbn28OR

  24. I know I used Realta Nua and didn't have any problems with the Fate route, though many people seem to dislike it. The one complaint I had was that the intro was too long.
