Since no one's brought it up, I like JAST because its founder is actually a pretty cool guy. Peter Payne is on twitter and responds to most of the people that tweet him in a friendly and helpful manner. I won't say anything about their translation quality or speed because i'm not sure which titles are theirs and which titles they're selling on behalf of others. As for Starry Sky...the article clearly states that the reason it is not being translated is because of the outrageous prices being asked for by the Japanese developer. It's not a question of whether JAST can afford it or not, as much as it is that the developer is intentionally setting a price that would prevent JAST from making any profit on the series.

What Video Games Are You Playing Right Now?

I've been playing Warframe for the past few days. I normally hate F2P games but this one is a lot of fun to play, especially with friends. If any of you enjoy FPS or 3rdPS I would highly recommend trying it out (it's free!). -
Up to Higurashi no Naku Koro ni Kai now. So far i'd have to give Higurashi an average rating but I think it still has the potential to surprise me in a good way.

I highly recommend playing Extra and Unlimited first. If you can only stomach actually reading only one of the routes then go for Sumika's, as she is important to the Alternative story. Here's some helpful info (not actually spoilers; it's just a large image):- 9 replies

I'll second Aselia the Eternal. Lots of gameplay in there, and it's strategy-based.

You will need either a PSP or PSP Emulator but I would recommend Dangan Ronpa. You can pick it up from Fuwanovel.

Not overly impressed with the first four chapters of Higurashi. Hopefully the second set is better.

Admittedly, I didn't expect the last 1/10 of the chapter to have nothing to do with the other 9/10, so good job there.
