Ah, just to clarify for people (got a PM from a confused soul): The tech support section was reorganized slightly. It's now called "Game Technical FAQs & Solutions" and it's (currently) on the index page under the Fuwanovel Community category. The tech support board as you know it (free to post, Q&A) is now called "Voluntary Tech Support" and it's been moved to be a sub-board inside the FAQ collection. Again, this is not the final product, but it's a sufficient bandaid for our current purposes The improvements board is now a sub-forum within this community hub.

Hey everybody, Just wanted to let you know that a minor shuffling of forums organization (as part of additional upcoming changes) has been completed. As I explained earlier this month and in the latest podcast, lots of little changes are on their way. All I ask is that you remember that the workflow guiding these changes is: make the change, watch it over a few days, re-evaluate, make a decision. If you don't like something, please feel free to post in the improvement board's request section (link). Every decision will stand for a few days and will then be reevaluated, so please take advantage of the improvements board to voice your thoughts, suggestions and complaints. More details about forums changes will be rolling out in the next 6 days. Tay

Chances are good you've seen a VN streamed, but what if one was streamed as an eSports event? It's a bizarre idea, but which VN (with gameplay elements) do you think would make for the best eSports event? Little Busters baseball? Strategy game VNs? (I guess what I'm really asking is: are there VNs with gameplay that legitimately or humorously could make for good eSports commentary?)

Yes, this changed happened last night after I spoke with Sekai. I've been saying that the games won't go offline without warning (and I have been warning people that this was coming), but events last night kind of sped things up beyond my control. Sorry, everybody. PS: I didn't make and don't control the torrents themselves. AKA: the link is now off the site, but to my knowledge the torrent itself still exists out in the interwebs Edit: Only Grisaia and Clannad went down last night. I'll be letting everybody know the full list/offline dates soon. (Clarification)

Got 3 PMs letting me know the couple I referenced has split up. My apologies for bringing them up -- I hadn't heard the latest information (I was going on a personal chat which happened pre-sickness). I still think they're lovely people, and I wish each of them the best. Got 2 PMs letting me know that I don't sound completely idiotic, so that's good ; P. Before we started I told Ren to hit me with whatever he's got and hold my feet to the fire. I think he did a fabulous job, and agree that he is really growing his talent for interviewing. Edit: Forgot this has a thread in G&D. I'll be answering questions over there as to prevent the pollution of this thread.

I talked to Sekai and got everything sorted out. I'd like to apologize for being unfair to Zaka when he was just repeating what I'd written earlier. The tweets had been deleted by the time I got the news so I wasn't sure what they said. All I saw was how sekai responded. Many apologies, Zaka. You do good work and this was my bad. There's a lesson to be learned here. I'll try to work much harder to give you guys clear positions/policies/etc. . Until that happens, just drop me a line if something comes up so I can verify your response. This was my fault, and I'm grateful for the patience of the social media team.

It's a great idea. Over the next week my priorities are: Finish board mod handbooks Finalize board mod teams and get the rosters to global mods Start training of board mods Finalize forums organization changes Finalize game torrents' changes list Get the server move started and finished Blog redesign and makeover Continue talks about Blog and potentially put out a call for certain jobs on the blog The front site/blog work is subject to the calendar of our host, but I'm told it should be done this week. Once that's done I've got some high priority work to do on the front site (2 pages was sent already to Nayleen and ilegend but I've got additional changes planned). Once the high-priority stuff is done I think this would be a great addition. SO: I know that a lot of people would like this feature. Here's what I need from you (collectively): for each title on the main site start collecting tag ideas and relationships (prequel, sequel, fandisc). Try to err more on the side of "general" tags than VNDB (extremely specific) tags. (though feel free to use VNDB for inspiration) We may not add all of them to each game, but having a list of options may help us consider possible ways to link games. Sound fair?

Hello everybody, First of all -- I'd like to thank everybody for coming out yesterday and showing a lot of love to our mods. Many of you truly took the burden of the holiday on your shoulders and strove mightily towards that ideal of 1000 posts. We didn't make it all the way, but we did well. We did dang well. I know lots of you wondered why I opened up a 24-hour marathon party. Granted, my internet (power) going out made it so that I couldn't be there the last few hours, but I spent the vast majority of the day furiously reading status updates and posting with everybody. I know that a lot of you got caught up with me and really brought your A-game to the table. So why the thread? A lot of it had to do with wanting to send the moderators out with a bang. But also, looking at how hard everybody worked to be a part of that thread (I think we were all up waaaay past our bedtimes at at least 2 different parts of the 24 hour run ; )), I'll just leave you with a thought. Could it be possible that that thread became a metaphor for Fuwanovel itself? Thank you for coming out and making the first-ever Fuwanovel Rock-Around-The-Clock Moderators' Appreciation Day Holiday a success. Go and sleep in peace, the madness has ended!

Weekend traffic has major fluctuations (can be higher than week but also has long periods of low activity) as compared to weekdays. I wanted to have it available to the max amount of users possible. Next year Oct 3rd will be Sat, though, and we'll have to compare the two : ).
