  1. So what are your thoughts? Do you have any theories as to who Beatrice is? She would definitely be a much more competent detective than Shuichi LOL
  2. I made the same mistake as you (googling the anime before I even completed the game), but I can assure you that I enjoyed the ending nonetheless. KnS is more of a thriller-utsuge, with the mystery part being almost non-existent, since the murderers are very easy to predict. It's still a very good read though, so I wish you all the best (in holding back your tears)! Oh, and before I forget, it is probably recommended (but not compulsory) to have completed Cartagra first, since it provides some context for the story in KnS. Yeah me too, but I think the Muv Luv Photon series has to at least be first released before any real progress can be made.
  3. That's because you're on the Time Chart Menu. Click on a random block (as in get into the game itself) and do the "fn +F1" thing.
  4. There is actually a list of unlocked bad endings. Go into the game itself (not the Time Chart) and click "F1" (or "fn" + "F1" ) on your keyboard. There will be an option called "Bad Ending List" there. Edit: I've also updated the walkthrough with this information.
  5. Damn why did you have to do him like that
  6. Thanks guys!
  7. Thank you!
  8. kukuku they are in for one hell of a roller coaster ride
  9. All this Umineko talk is making me want to revisit all those online theories damn
  10. Trust me Unlimited is vanilla stuff. Wait till you reach Alternative.
  11. Well, I wish you the best of luck Umineko's not an ordinary murder mystery where everything gets revealed in the end. Most things are purposely made vague and you gotta wrack your brains to figure out what the murders are all about. Even if you search online for answers, there won't just be a single theory to explain everything. If you still have doubts after finishing the game, I would suggest reading the manga (which is what I'm doing now btw) since I've heard that it explains many vague areas which weren't properly covered in the vn.
  12. Finally completed the entirety of 428 Shibuya Scramble after 51 hours. I had actually completed the main story 2 days ago but because I was supposed to complete a walkthrough, I had to go over everything that needs to be completed. The effort that I had to go through for meh content kind of dampened my experience with the game, but I still quite liked the game nonetheless. Contrary to my initial expectations, there are actually voice acting and animated images in the Canaan chapter. It was an interesting read and provides a bit of background information for 2 prominent characters in the game. While there weren't any mind-blowing plot twists or super emotional moments in the game, it doesn't suffer from any major pacing issues (if you discount the bad ends) which is always a plus. Overall I'm going to give it a 8 out of 10. P.S Canaan kind of reminds me a little of Ryogi Shiki from Kara no Kyoukai LOL
  13. Started playing 428 Shibuya Scramble a few days ago and I'm really enjoying it so far. I read it from some site that it had 87 different bad ends (Nasu’s influence, perhaps?) and in addition to the fact that there wasn’t a single English text walkthrough out there on the Internet, I was initially put off by it. However, after learning that the game actually spawned an anime adaptation, I decided to give it a try. Now that I’m playing it, I’m glad that I did not stick to my initial thoughts. While the sheer number of bad ends can be very confusing at first, it gets easier to understand how the game works as one progresses. One thing I didn’t like about the game though was the user interface. The fact that you can’t use a mouse, change text speed settings and the lack of a conventional skip button make things a bit unfamiliar. Thankfully, there’s a backlog function (using the up and down keys) and it can apparently also be used to skip to certain scenes forward (if the scenes have already been read) and backwards. This helps to somewhat alleviate the skipping problem, but it’s still deadass troublesome. There are also a bunch of in-game mechanics which needed time adjusting to, but thankfully the tutorial does its job just fine. That aside, I’m still enjoying this reading experience a lot. Sure, there aren’t any animation, and sure, we ain’t got no voice acting, but it’s a good change of pace. The game’s played in 5 different perspectives, and some of the decisions each protagonist makes can have an impact on other protagonists (heck, I remember this one guy called Minorikawa caused 4 bad ends for the other protagonists because of one choice that he made). Though I wouldn’t say that it’s as intense as some of the other vns I’ve read, it’s pretty interesting and never gets boring. I’m sure there will be more interesting stuff to be discovered and really hope that the Canaan chapter is as good as many people hype it out to be (since it was written by Type Moon and an anime adaption was made based on the chapter).
  14. vndb Steam Summary A kidnapping on the streets of Shibuya brings together a hot-blooded detective, hard-hitting journalist, former gang leader, the head researcher of a big pharma manufacturer and a part-timer stuck in cat costume for a series of events each more unexpected and outrageous than the last. Can they—or the city itself—make it through the day? General Info There is a total of 95 Ends: 9 Character Ends , 85 Bad Ends and 1 special end. There will be instances where you will be forced into a bad end and this is perfectly fine, as 50+ bad ends will be needed to unlock a certain character chapter. Using the game tutorial is recommended as you'll be taught the controls and in-game mechanics. A video walkthrough can be found here. Ending Guideline / Suggested Route Order This route order may not be the fastest way of completing the game, but it should get everything completed. Tama's identity gets revealed at the end of the 13.00-14.00 time block so do not open any of the spoilers starting from 14.00-15.00 onwards. Please note that you HAVE to follow this order, otherwise you will not be able to progress as intended. Bad Ends in the "After completion" section can be done after completing the time-block or after clearing the main story. In case you messed up, you can look at the bad end list to see what you did wrong. 10.00 - 11.00 11.00 - 12.00 12.00 - 13.00: 13.00 - 14.00: 14.00 - 15.00: 15.00 - 16.00 16.00 - 17.00 17.00 - 18.00 18.00 - 20.00 After completing all timeblocks Extras Route Guideline 10.00 - 11.00 11.00 -12.00 12.00-13.00 13.00 - 14.00 14.00 -15.00 15.00 - 16.00 16.00 - 17.00 17.00 - 18.00 18.00 -20.00 Normal End Suzune End True End Canaan End Mean Clean End 428 Pop Quiz Answers Special Episodes Conspiracy True Conspiracy Bad End List FAQ Attribution Walkthrough largely based on my own experience with the game. 15. Just finished Majikoi A-2. With that, I've now completed (the translated parts) of the Majikoi series. Thoughts (with minor Symphonic Rain and FSN spoilers):
  16. @Dreamysyu You still gotta finish the main story to unlock the prologue though
  17. After rolling Iba Lancer in my first multi-roll, I tried countless times to roll the BB+MHXX banner but all I ever got was crappy event CEs. Then, today.... Man if only I had this kind of luck in NA.
  18. I went through Rewrite in the following order: Kotori --> Chihaya --> Lucia --> Shizuru --> Akane --> Moon --> Terra. You don't have to follow my order, but I think it's better if you played Shizuru's route and Lucia's route one after the other. As for your questions, You should also probably watch the anime after finishing the vn, since there's an utter lack of art and animation despite the abundance of action scenes, and you can understand some parts better. Anyways, I wish you all the best trying to complete this behemoth of a VN!
  19. Higurashi's only "scary" during the Question Arcs, though it gets more interesting during the Answer Arcs. Other than that, there's Phenomeno (which is unfortunately very short) and Saya no uta (which is also quite short but at least longer than the former). Or if you want some gimmicky scary stuff, you can always try DDLC.
  20. Rewrite's not really that dark though + it doesn't have h-scenes. I think it reminds me more of Kara no Shoujo instead (minus the psychic abilities part).
  21. I don't really give much thought to the waifu factor; it's more of because her team attack buff can give a 40% attack boost (at max level) to 2 of my best Servants and she's the only rate-up Servant for that particular banner. I'm also going to (try) roll for Merlin in December when the Salomon chapter comes out in NA, so there's that too.
  22. I'm nearly done clearing the event shop for Summer Event Part 2 (with 20 pieces of silver berserker monuments remaining) but still have a hell lot of stuff to clear for Part 1 (largely the items which require Lumber and Food). Didn't bother rolling for the summer servants since most of them have demerits tied to their skills and I'm saving for Jalter anyways. Also looking forward to the Prisma event since I can finally get my first Gold Archer
  23. Finally started on Majikoi, and boy am I impressed with the star studded cast. The game apparently has seiyuus who voiced characters for Root Double, Grisaia, Fate and Muv Luv, and looks rather light-hearted (though it probably has some serious moments in the individual character routes), so I'm really looking forward to finishing this (will probably take quite a long time though).
  24. @cro-mag How did Root Double remind you of Muv Luv Alternative? I've always felt Ever17 and 999 vibes from it, with a touch of R11 here and there, but I don't find it really similar to MLA.
