  1. Sharin no Kuni since it's from the same developer as G-senjou. The official translation will only be out in October so you will have to make do with the fan patch. Other recommendations include: 9 Hours, 9 Persons, 9 Doors: Escape mystery with a bit of sci-fi Ever17: Escape mystery with a bit of sci-fi Root Double: Escape mystery with a moderate amount of sci-fi Fate Stay Night: Magic and stuff Rewrite: Magic and stuff, with a bit of slice-of-life Grisaia no Kajitsu: Slice-of-life Higurashi: Slice-of-life and thriller I wouldn't really recommend Clannad since the main heroine isn't really interesting and the other side heroines which are interesting enough do not have particularly long routes.
  2. ... and I'm done. This has gotta be the fastest I've taken to complete a VN, and the thing is that I actually quite enjoyed it. The OS simulation thing was quite unique and enjoyable and all the logs were pretty interesting to read. Only problems I have with the plot are how
  3. Currently playing Analogue. Dayum the first part with the Override Terminal felt a bit like a Linux shell terminal to me, except that I could only run a few commands on it. Unfortunately, unlike Linux, pressing the up key doesn't actually let me see the previous commands that I had typed so if I misspelt something I gotta type everything again. Anyways, the vn's quite short, so I'm looking forward to completing it by today.
  4. 18+ or all-ages? You should probably try the latter since it has more content, especially in the epilogue (which imo is the best part of the vn)
  5. Wow FINALLY someone that lives in the same country as me. Nice to meet you! For good beginner visual novels with decent amount of gameplay, I'll recommend Ace Attorney, Danganronpa and Zero Escape. These 3 series were what got me into VNs in the first place and I've never looked back.
  6. vndb Steam Official website Summary September 16, 2030 - 6:19 AM. At "LABO", a giant scientific research facility built by a lake on the outskirts of "Rokumei City", an "incident" occurs...! And thus, nine souls are trapped in LABO's basement. A world where death eats away at every passing moment. The way out, shut. Frequent inexplicable phenomena. Countless mysteries. And... a bizarre murder that occurred right in that closed space. There are two routes out of this extreme situation: An amnesiac rescue squad captain in LABO- Watase Kasasagi. A nine hour escape drama unfolds from his viewpoint. A high school student trapped in LABO- Natsuhiko Tenkawa. A journey into his memories of the six days leading up to the incident starts from his viewpoint. When two intentions and two sets of memories overlap... all will be revealed. In the end, is there a route for all nine to escape with their lives? Ending Guideline / Suggested Route Order Root Double has an enforced route order so there isn't really a need for a suggested route order. However, if you still want to know the route flow, it is as follows: √After--> √Before --> √Current --> √Double --> Xtend Episode For the fastest reading experience: √After - Bad Endings 1-17 √After - Good Ending and Normal Ending √After CG Recovery √Before - Bad Endings 1-4 √Before - Good Ending √Current √Double - Bad Endings 1-6 √Double - Normal Endings 1-3, Good Endings and True Ending Xtend Episode √Double CG Scenes and a brief (Steam) achievements guide Attribution Based on the Steam walkthrough of the game, with improvements made by me.
  7. Finally finished Root Double. Boy, what a ride this had been. While certain plot twists were predictable and could be seen from miles away (the identity of the test subjects), I quite liked how everything's connected together in the original routes and loose ends were tied up nicely in the Xtend epsiode. Pacing was rather slow, but that was due to the sheer number of endings. Bad ends were aplenty, which kind of reminded me a little of FSN and Remember 11, though thankfully those bad ends reached their respective conclusions rather quickly. Also, this was the first vn that I had read which had extensive discussions of telepathic powers so it was quite a refreshing experience. Not quite what I had initially expected, since I thought it would be similar to ZE and E17, but it still managed to leave a deep impression on me. Overall: 8.5/10
  8. nakige* Nukige and nakige mean 2 very different things lol
  9. Temporarily broke my f2p status today so that I could go for at least an Archer or Lancer, but instead I got Modred boohoo On the bright side, I got my third Euryale so hooray I guess(?)
  10. Code Realize is the first thing that comes to mind. If you want more information, you can always use the vndb filter to help you in your search. Here's a filter list which addresses your interests.
  11. Tomoyo and Kyou best girls
  12. Dies Irae all the way. G senjou no Maou comes in at a very close second though.
  13. Yeah I've noticed it too
  14. The VN has much better writing but it will irritate you at times. If you thought Shirou and Shinji were annoying in the anime, wait till you read the vn. Also, the battle scenes in FSN aren't really that good as compared to the anime (you will sometimes get a black screen followed by a "whoosh" sound during battle scenes). Last, but not least, the pacing. I personally didn't mind it but many others did so it's up to your own discretion. However, that's where the drawbacks end. I quite liked the character development in the vn, and while Shirou still isn't a perfect man after all the character development, he's much better in Heaven's Feel than in Unlimited Blade Works and Fate (though admittedly he was kind of decent in UBW). Last but not least, the vn has LOTS of material that the anime doesn't cover. Important plot points are left out so what you already know is only about 40%. Tl;dr, the source material is better than the adaption but is much longer.
  15. I managed to roll Lancelot (Saber) and Nitocris today on my first 10x roll. Hopefully I'll be able to get Ozy on my next 10x roll.
  16. Camelot's out on the NA Server and I still have not maxed out my Euryale
  17. What a bummer
  18. Recently started on Root Double and it's already giving me Zero Escape & Ever17 vibes (though the Ever17 feels are more apparent tbh, which is understable, since Regista also played a part in the development for E17) On a side note, this is actually the first time I've come across a vn told from a third-person perspective so I may need some time to get used to it.
  19. You can use an emulator called Memu to play FGO on PC. There's a guide on Youtube that teaches you how. The only hassle is that since transfer numbers are a one-off thing, you gotta have to frequently generate transfer numbers to do data transfers if you are to switch between phone and PC. For the onis, you have to use Support Servants which have strong affinity against them and have MLB Sumo CEs equipped. Jalter remains an option but isn't very effective if not equipped with the Sumo CE. For this event, there are several Servants which have increased attack so you can use those to your advantage.
  20. Hello and welcome! I've sent you a request; you could use my Servants if you'd like (no Jalter though). Weekly missions are also known as "master missions", which are pretty easy to complete. More often than not, you'd complete them without even giving a glance at what is required. As for daily missions, I'd recommend going for the 30 AP ones at the maximum, since the 40 AP ones have a high chance of getting your party wiped out (especially the Berserker, Archer and Saber ones). You don't really have to complete all of them since mana prisms are actually easy to obtain from other avenues and they are just AP traps anyways. As for other general advice, DO NOT spend your Saint Quartz on reviving your team when they get wiped out. I think I've mentioned this on the previous page, but if you are going to be a f2p player like me, saint quartz aren't going to be infinite. Also, pay close attention to Class Affinity and the enemy classes you can expect before starting a quest. I usually visit the FGO wikia to check the class of the enemy boss for each quest so that I can adjust my Servant lineup accordingly. An example would be something like this: Last but not least, ensure that your Marie gets her second skill and max it out asap since that skill is very useful in surviving long battles. As for Liz, well, I can't really comment since I've never used her before.
  21. After 1 month of passively reading Little Busters, I've finally completed it! While I wasn't able to enjoy some routes, I absolutely enjoyed Refrain and Saya's route. Saya's personality kind of reminded me of Tohsaka Rin from FSN so obviously she was going to be No.1 for me. Honestly, I spent so much time on the EX routes (especially Saya's route) that I already kind of forgot certain details surrounding Refrain, but I would say that Refrain is one of the best Key-written routes I've ever read. Refrain and Saya aside, I also liked the routes for Kurugaya and Sasami. Haruka's route was surprisingly good and Kanata was decent as well. Rin (Refrain): 8.5/10 Saya: 8.5/10 Sasami: 8/10 Kurugaya: 8/10 Haruka: 7.5/10 Kanata: 7.5/10 Mio: 7/10 Kud: 6/10 Komari: 5/10 Overall (not average): 8/10
  22. Since Clannad's on your vndb list, I recommend Tomoyo After.
  23. Looked at the future event release in the wikia and apparently, the next event in the NA server rewards you with a Sakata Kintoki(Rider). Now I feel so stupid for wasting my 3M DL ticket on Marie (should have went for Emiya or Elizabeth).
  24. The Sanzhang quest? If this ain't me
