Oh man, I don't know if I should encourage you or feel sorry for you. Polish grammar is nasty and I can say that with full responsibility, as a dyslectic Pole that has to deal with it every day. I wish you good luck regardless.

So you're going with all-time classics? Can't argue with that approach. I would probably do the same if I didn't have an attention span of a hamster - those games are usually long AF. Clannad, if you don't have it already, is on sale ATM on Steam, with a rather deep discount. If you grab the base game + spin-offs bundle, you'll have quality reading material for months.
-
So, what do you think about it? I've planned to play through it during the winter break, but decided to postpone it and focus on clearing all the super-short VNs I have in queue instead. I'm still pretty excited about reading it though. :3

Welcome to Fuwa! So, you're pretty much as new to VNs as I am, and look at me, I'm already blogging and writing everywhere like I'm some kind of expert. Hope you'll have fun around here. Do you have any kind of VNs you're especially fond of or titles you liked the most? This would make the recommendation part easier.

I think retaliation for doing that here stops at snarky remarks - although I'm a newbie around here still, maybe there are mobs with pitchforks coming for you after all. ;p

I've looked through Steam reviews and it seems the Steam version is ok - obviously it has no h-scenes, but it doesn't seem to be censored in absurd ways like IMHHW and what people compained about when it goes to translation felt like rather minor things to me. So, the localization should be totally serviceable, even if far from perfect. Unless you want to boycott Moenovel over cut 18+ scenes, it looks like a good deal and I have little doubt that the game itself is worth it, I will surely grab it at some point.

What should I play over the holidays?
Plk_Lesiak replied to Tamaki Sakura's topic in Recommendations
To be fair, it looks like a life-changing experience. Not in a way I would want though... -
Don't apologize so much, there's nothing wrong with reviving such old topics when you have somthing meaningful to add IMO. ^^ But really, just as the review suggest, this game came from a dark period for OELVNs, considering how much attention and crowdfunding support this all-around poor developer gathered. It really feels like the western VN scene and the Steam VN market have progressed a lot in the meantime.

Mobile phones and tablets, especially Android devices, are strangely underutilized as a platform for VN publishing, with few high-profile titles being ported to them (especially when it goes to English versions) and underwhelming selection of dedicated mobile releases. Also, existing Android versions of famous visual novels, such as Narcissu, suffer from technical issues that you wouldn’t expect from what is ultimately a very simple application, based on text and still images. Occasional Ace Attorney spin-off or an original iOS title such as Fragment’s Note doesn’t change much in this general picture. This apparent disinterest of JP VN producers in the mobile market (not counting the literal dozens of mass-produced, free-to-play otome romances) makes the western-produced VNs dominate Google Play store, and while most of them might be tiny, amateurish-looking games, there are also a few notable titles that could deserve some attention even from an experienced reader. One of the most popular and interesting among those is Stellaren, a simplistic, but surprisingly enjoyable sci-fi VN, at first released in episodic form throughout 2015. This review will be based on a complete, paid version of the game, that became available in March 2017. Read the full article at evnchronicles.blogspot.com

I see, Sonohana is still quite heavy on sexual themes so I've just wondered if you're interested in non-eroitic yuri before recommending anything. :] People already mentioned Flowers -Le volume sur printemps-, Kindred Spirits on the Roof and Nurse Love Addiction, those are the best translated yuri VNs. From western stuff, I can recommend Highway Blossoms, Starlight Vega and Love Ribbon. In general, there's a quite a lot of yuri produced by American and European developers, the Hella Yuri steam curator site can be very helpful in finding those VNs.
-
If you got it spoiled to you completely then it's not that much worth playing, but it's definitely not just a meme. It relies a lot on its main gimmick and has little replayability because of that, but it's really all-around a solid short VN. If someone took the part before the first twist as a base and turned it into a standard moege I would happily play it, it does some seriously cute and creative things this the whole "literature club" theme.
-
Hello there, new person! From your VNDB I've noticed you've played through pretty much whole Sono Hanabira... series, I strongly approve. Are you interested in yuri VN without or with milder h-scenes?
-
From things I've played I can recommend One Thousand Lies, from things that are considered good but I didn't get to them yet there's Cupid and Cinderella Phenomenon for example. And DDLC is legitimately good. Why would anyone give you crap for playing it?
-
The fall season is ending, so let's start with the winter fun. :] From what I've seen so far the coming season looks seriously dull though - apart from the second half of Ancient Magus' Bride and Citrus I don't see any shows I would really care about. Anything you guys are looking forward to?

I think having a full-on psychopath route would broaden its appeal significantly, far beyond the usual BL niche. I would love to see you review it at some point, this is exactly the kind of weird stuff I would happily read about, especially because I'd have a hard time to fit it into my own schedule (with all those beautiful yuri VNs calling to me...).
-
I don't think I'll ever go far enough in VN diversity appreciation to play BL, but if I ever do, it will probably be 1st degree. I don't see one crucial question answered anywhere though - can you just kill everyone?

They've tried to put on Steam a censored version of https://vndb.org/v20488

How to find Japanese seiyuu, composer and singer
Plk_Lesiak replied to BlackHat's topic in Visual Novel Talk
I have no idea what the rates are for starting-out/freelance seiyuu and this might be a dumb advice because of that, but it's easy to find personal sites and links to VA agencies on places like MyAnimeList. If you look at some low-budget anime, there's a lot of young voice actors there that still have to make a name for themselves and should probably be relatively cheap to hire - the easiest way to find out should be to follow the links, write to the agencies themselves and ask for their pricing etc. If you can communicate in Japanese you should be able to get all the information you need from those, the VN market in Japan is huge and rather competitive, so there's a lot to chose from. -
TBF, most of their releases aren't nukige and sometimes they hire an actual translator (what's funny, one time I know for sure they had one was for a nukige, which later never came up on Steam because the main heroine was a loli and people reported it for child porn - I can't say I understand SakuraGame's priorities there). But it will be easy to find out from Steam reviews and community forums whether it's an another machine-translated mess. No need to give them money unless we have reasons to think they actually tried this time, especially when the English description looks like it does right now.

I might not fit in too well around here, but hello!
Plk_Lesiak replied to Zander's topic in Introduce Yourself
A non-weeb on our forums? Sound the alarm! Grab your swords!!! Seriously though, welcome to fuwa, I'm always happy to see another person sharing my policy of avoiding h-content when ever it's possible! I don't avoid it with yuri though... ... anyways, I don't think there's a problem with standing out around here, if you love VNs, you'll find plenty of things to read and write about. If my fascination with western-made VNs didn't get me driven out of here I don't think you have much to worry about. So, don't be afraid to say strange things and I hope you'll have fun while doing that. :3 -
Aye aye, I would (once more) say the same about School Days, is super heavy on sex scenes, but every sex scene is an important plot device and the overarching story arc is pretty complex and deals with other themes than just sex. If we say that sex scenes being a crucial part of the experience automatically makes it a nukige, it would mean that sex scenes in normal eroge have to be pointless and completely skippable - and that's not really a standard I would like to support.

A month without internet? And you survived? You're a true hero, Visya-sama! Welcome to Fuwa, I hope you'll have fun using you newly-regained connection to the online world here.

http://www.crunchyroll.com/anime-news/2017/09/01/yuri-tv-anime-citrus-1st-pv-reveals-january-2018-premiere-main-character-voices I've only now heard about it. This makes me happy. I might feel like shit today, but I'll drink [this awfully sweet lychee wine - I'm a proper weeb that buys Japanese alcohol regularly!] to this anime turning out good. Totally not to just get drunk. Nothing like that.

As a no-life that I am, I have no normal photos of myself, but my gf managed to capture this beautiful scene during one of the sociological conferences on which on talked about fan porn. I look messy as fuck because I was sitting there for seven hours there before my section has started, but I have some good memories of that event. :3

Go Go Nippon! ver. 2016 General Discussion
Plk_Lesiak replied to MarcomiX's topic in Visual Novel Talk
Nothing like that. The romance in GGN is as banal as it can get when it goes to choices. You have three days to go sightseeing around Tokyo. You choose one location on every day. At every site, one of two girls will be your guide. Go with a girl more times than with the other one = romance. At least that's how it was in the original version. Now there's a ton of sightseeing spots and different events and endings that can trigger depending on where you go. The romance-related mechanics though are still as dumb as they ever were and as far as possible from demanding any kind of "skill" from the player.
