wow, you make it sound like something for bored people u.u, I am disappoint, Meph! Anyone know the rankings charts for Japan and the West separately? You all say that everyone in the west loves Nico and Maki (I like them, but they arent my favs), so I was thinking that it has to be different in Japan or you wouldnt bother to make the distinction. Is it Umi/Kotori/Eri on the top over there? Also, is it through the fourth of july or up until the fourth of july? I'm at 40 and might be able to get 50 on the 4th and Aregon, heh, something like that. I actually didnt feel too bad because I got the good so late it didnt really sink in until after I finished. Also, I'll be seeing plenty more of this daily song, so there's no huge rush to FC it. It's nice to have a goal to work towards!
-
Managed to get a 322 combo on the daily song on hard. Messed up on the third to last note cause I was excited at getting FC (lol)
-
Yea it was a June 30 update, so you're not far behind. Also, you should feel good in that you technically didnt really lose anything in the long term. Once the song comes back as a daily, you'll be able to get those rewards that others got the first time it showed, but they wont be able to get it again, so it'll all work out to parity in the end. Every day at 7:00 P.M for me the new stuff gets released

omg,how best friends are made. That said, perhaps Novel21 should type this in his/her own language and then someone else who knows both can translate it? I presume they want someone/some people to help them do the drawing/coding part of making a vn or something (I know nothing of the subject of vn creation). sidenote: I love the budding relationship forming between SanadaShadow and Heizei_koukousei, perhaps that would make a good topic for the story of the VN >,>

I wish I could play the JP version, but it says it's blocked in my country (America) T.T anyway, I had a dream about how cool Umi was and now I want to fill my teams with Umis
-
-
My best combo was like 140 of the three times I played it. I can't get a hold on those alternating triplets, and the hold and relese-then-press-again-quickly thingys are really hard too
-
Which is better? 36% chance of 250 points every 8 seconds, or 300 raw points on my team?
-
all these people being unhappy with triple-sr pulls and UR pulls, what am I reading :/ also, jealous of your rares, I'm still working on getting a good collection of tip top rares
-
Firefox is perfectly fine though...

what does "fortifies your award" mean in UR Umi's special ability? edit: I also feel bad for you, Ceris. Sorry about the Rins. At least you got some great rares (The cool Eri, pure Nozomi, smile Nicos are all top 1-2 in their trait)

I'm at 29 love gems atm, so I'm expecting after 2 more events I can do it for SR+ guarantee 10+1. Right with you guys
-
You, sir, are a true warrior of love . That gif is soooo cute good lord! How Maki blushes right before Nico goes, going in. awww. The hands on the shoulders, I'm dying
-
omg that scout. My only 10+1 I did during a guaranteed SR period gave me 1 SR and 10 rares, so I'm hoping my next is on that level! (but my hopes arent that high xD. My goal is more than 1 SR/UR, so hopefully 2-3!) You got an amazing scout. And I kind of understand Nosebleed's unhappiness because all in all, having your favourite characters and making progress is what's really fun, even if he did defy the odds, the progress he made and the characters he got werent what he was hoping for. Still... a UR is super nice, even if it is supposedly the worst (though I find her voice and phrases really enjoyable, and she looks very cute u.u). I'm just hoping that if I get another UR, it's not a repeat of one I already have. on a side note, I have a friend who I introduced the game to, but she's only kind of into it. I hope she'll get into it more when she gets around to watching the anime, but she just pulled a UR Umi on the free scout they give to you when you make an account. some people are the lucks, but remember that they have less to build towards. One who has it all does not attain the same joy from progress that a feeble peasant does. The less you have, the sweeter a triple-SR pull or whatever becomes. oh, also I did my scouting ticket. No SR/UR as I had hoped for, but I got a Pure Nozomi, which is the second best Pure Rare, so that was definitely better than the chances gave me ^^. Raised my pure team by 350 points or so! (Also, I could idolize her if I want to lose a lot of pure points on my team, but I'll wait until I desperately need love gems or have another high pure card to fill in after her for that)
-
Use the ticket now to give you a better card to have more stamina etc. Hopefully you'll get a pure with a stamina restoration ability so you have an easier time with hard songs. You'll get used to them quickly, though. trust me. Also post your user ID so we can add you and you can get some good friend bonuses ^^ Wilkommen!!!
-
whoa. what kind of team are you rolling with? SRs? URs?
-
haha, I dont mean to force your hand about it xD btw, I tried Yeokso's advice for making a team. I replaced my medium-value Pures with slightly lower-value non-Pures with bonus point abilities. I'll be testing a little bit more in the future, but the fact that I can get a 80 lower combo and still beat my score by 15k with a higher point team versus a better-ability team shows to me which is more important in the scoring.
-
I'm watching you... edit: also, Xisashi, accept my friend requesssstttt!!!

Alright, I think I got it this time (again): For the sake of this example, let's assume we have a team of 10000 Pure, made of 9 on-trait Pure members. If we were to replace one of these pure members with a Cool member of the exact same pure score, then the final scoring would decrease by 1/90. This is because you lose the 10% bonus score on avg 1/9 of your hits, so you lose 1/90 total points. If you were to replace your original Pure member of 10000/9 pure points (1111 points) with an off-trait member, what point value would they have to have to make up for the bonus point loss? you can calculate the average points that the other members will gather with (8/9)(newtotalpoints*1.1) and the points the new member will earn with (1/9)(newtotalpoints). This value should be greater than the previous (9/9)(1.1*oldtotalpoints)=11000. So we have (8/9)(newtotalpoints*1.1)+(1/9)(newtotalpoints) > 11000 in order for the swap to be worthwhile. If you do some algebra you get (9.8*newtotalpoints) > 11000*9 and yo can work it down to newtotalpoints > 11000(9/9. for the swap to be worthwhile. That means that the new member must have 102 more points than the old member. Of course that seems really jumbled, so if someone wants to follow-up and tell me if it makes sense, please do. I think maybe the best way to determine whether or not to swap in an off-trait is to weigh the trade-offs. Originally your on-trait gives you (1/90)(totalscore) + it's own pure value. When you swap in an off-trait, you get ([new-#-of-on-trait-members]/90)(pure-score-of-off-trait) additional points. So if (1/90)(total-score-with-on-trait) is greater than (#-of-on-traits/90)(score-of-off-trait), then the choice becomes clear. <---- I think this is wrong [(#-of-original-on-trait-members/9)*(1.1)+(#-of-original-off-trait-members/9)]*(original-team-score) VERSUS [(#-of-new-on-trait-members/9)*(1.1)+(#-of-new-off-trait-members/9)]*(new-team-score). Whichever one is higher yields the better team. The thing is that you have to take the number of on-trait members within your team into account because they distort the effective value of points. The more on-trait members you have, the more your raw points are worth. The less you have, the less raw points are worth. It's probably not quite worth the effort unless you have a fully completed team that you dont expect will change for a very long time. If you're still in the process of finding someone to replace Ru Tatara, then you might not want to put the effort into big calculations, but if you've got 5 SRs, a UR, and a few perfect Cool Rares, then maybe it could net you the points you need to beat some people in the event song or something. I spent a lot of time thinking this one out to try to find a quick and easy way, like multiplying two numbers together and comparing another two sets, but I couldnt find anything that easy. I'm not sure a perfect one exists, but as far as an easy way to get roughly similar results, I believe multiplying on-trait members by 1.1 will give you decent approximations. Or maybe I'm just dumb
-
I think this is almost the right way to do it. The way I see it, having an off-trait team with 11k is the same as an on-trait team with 10k. Because there are 9 members on the team, this 10% increase in score must be split over 9 members. This means that if each off-trait member carried 11% higher score than their on-trait counterparts, then the teams would be balanced. so if you multiply off-trait points by 9/10 (decrease them by 10%) then you will find which has the better true value. Decreasing the off-trait one by 10% is different than increasing the on-trait one by 10%, you'll notice, but I think the difference holds true to the math... anyone want to double-check this?
-
which would you use, though? if you just had to guess? I've been using the pures personally, but I'm waffling x.x
-
which is better to use: a 3315 cool point Pure Hanayo, or a 3010 Point Cool Kotori? What about a 3500 cool Pure vs a 3000 Cool?
-
Yea, that suggests there wont be repeat events again. I am guessing you Nico fanatics will get your nicos faster than they did back then on the JP ver
-
seconded. I'd be a little miffed if I had to replay the event, but since I didnt really participate much in the Kotori one, I'm not that bothered ^^
