Have you ever played Ever17? It fits your criteria pretty well. It's fairly lighthearted for a story about a group of people trapped in a life-or-death situation, but it's a great mystery/suspense ride, especially in the last act. It's got some romance, but they don't beat you over the head with it. If you want something that has some interesting plot twists, I highly recommend it. Just know you're in for the long haul; the really interesting stuff happens late into the game, and getting to the true ending will take a while.

Wow, this is impressive. I have some friends irl that watch anime, but we never do anything as coordinated as this. Whenever we talk about what we're watching, it usually ends up with everyone pitching shows to everyone else, but nobody ever takes the time to watch anyone else's shows. (If that makes sense). This seems like a really cool solution. It'd just be really tricky to line up everybody's schedules...

I just played the first episode. Seems like a lot of fun! Hope this hasn't been answered already, but what payment options are you going to offer on your site? Credit Cards/Paypal? Can't wait for this to come out, I'll definitely pick up a copy.

I highly recommend finishing this one. The game is good, but the true ending is fantastic and it completely blew my mind the first time through. Just thinking about it now still gives me chills. I can't believe you managed to grab a physical copy!

Currently working on another project with that on the side. I should have something up in the next few hours.

I've already pre-ordered my limited editions of Danganronpa and Steins;Gate. Other than those, just Angel Beats

It's less of a silly accident story and more of an "ouch my feels" story. I get nosebleeds pretty easily when it's dry out (which it often is in California). So my house is uber dry and I'm playing Clannad late into the night. It's about 2 am when I get to the scene in the flower field during After Story, and I get a nosebleed right as I start crying, but I don't really notice because I'm an emotional wreck. So I go to blow my nose and realize that there is just blood everywhere. Plus I was on my bed and I made a complete mess. So basically Clannad made me a bloody crying emotional mess at 2 in the morning. It's likely the least attractive I've ever looked in my life.

Don't worry bout it, I bet most of us have stories like that. I think I shared what happened to me while I was reading Clannad in some other thread, and I imagine I must have looked really terrible.

I just started Little Busters too. So far I'm loving it!

Clannad is a great VN to start with. It's one of the first ones I ever played. Welcome to the forums!

It's without a doubt one of the stranger threads I've been on in a while, that's for sure. Does anyone mind if I also write an ear cleaning scene? (wow... that's not a sentence I thought I'd be writing today). I only write as a hobby and I'm a complete amateur, but this sounds fun.
