  1. The rhinestones on my glove didn't quite match what the Ebay item told me about it being "authentic" Michael Jackson memorabilia... Edit: Post above last post. Current post above: Pencils. Lots and lots of pencils.
  2. Award ideas: It's not spam, I swear! (Bronze, Silver, Gold levels) - Post a new thread, and have at least 10, 30, 50, unique posters comment in your thread. (Award can change each level, and numbers are subject to change I guess based on the active number of users) Facebook ain't got nothing on me! (Bronze, Silver, Gold, Platinum levels) - Accumulate a total of 10, 30, 50, 100 total likes in the Fuwanovel community from other users. (Pretty self-explanatory for this category. Icon should definitely be modeled after the "thumbs up" Facebook like) Sharply dressed - Give yourself a unique avatar. You go girl! Looking good! (I notice a lot of members in the forums don't use avatars. Thought this would inspire members to be more unique, and is a pretty basic idea) Stick it to the man - Surpass Tay in all his glory. Only the truly worthy shall ever see this award. (More of a joke, but the idea of a "never" obtainable award I thought would be funny) Just some ideas.
  3. Japanese people are, how do I say, very apologetic. Every single thing you do or say is always followed by apologies, as if they are trying to say that they are on a lower level than you. In terms of work? I haven't gotten into the business side of things but I do know from other teachers I was working with that business English classes (i.e.) are very challenging. People in this field are always busy, and most of the time the company is paying for the employees to learn English. In this way, you could get students leaving the middle of class due to work related matters, sometimes so extreme that nobody would show up! Still, the company pays you for what you work so just read a book and get free cash I guess. But in a more related matter, the cultural gap isn't as big as I thought it would be, and I know little to no Japanese. It all depends on who you meet.
  4. I am either jumping for joy because of these donuts, or I have no feet and shouldn't be standing.
  5. blame the writer if it becomes annoying. Though sometimes, it can be the voice acting *coughErogecough* Why not spice things up a bit in an h-scene and use inner monologues for both parties? Switch PoVs with the protagonist and enter the thoughts of the heroine. You can still utilize the same style to describe the scene, but I will feel it would be more realistic considering I am reading the thoughts of both parties. It's interesting because you can relate to both sides. Just a thought.

  7. Ah shit, I blinked. Can we redo that school photo?
  8. Steve, as you requested:
  9. On a serious note, it would be awesome to draw little VN characters with each award.
  10. Can we attach audio to the badge so it says "Wafu" every time you click it?
  11. If this becomes an award for me and others, I will kindly show myself the door. No thank you sir lol.
  12. Have some hearts! I have many, many, lovely hearts. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uMOH-H5bRT4
  13. Yet another: I get h-scenes, like I really do in some respects, but what I don't understand is the formula used in them. Every single one is the exact same in how it plays out, or is simply a variant of another one used before. Call me crazy, but if a girl ever stated to me the exact details that were occurring during sex and telling me what was happening at the given time by stating the obvious, I would get up and leave. I don't think I need to be told what is happening, as I am able to see/feel these things for myself thank you very much. You know what I'm talking about...
  14. I would post more, but there is a lot of censoring I would need to do. #Lazy
  15. People want pictures? I provide. This was back in November. Most of the store pictures are of Softmaps and the like. Also, you're damn fucking right I ate at that McDonalds in picture #9.
  16. While I love the suggestion for the song I need to sing, I'd prefer something with an actual...er, musical score. Rapping and the like aren't a favorite of mine, unless it's like Macklemore.

  18. Can 2014 be something cool as well? Ya know for us losers that join a month into the new year.
  19. #Jukes4Jesus. Welcome to the forums!
  20. Playing "My Computer is Broken and I am Trying to Fix it." One of the best VNs ever. I laugh, I cry, and I want to shoot the protagonist, Mr. Windows many times over. Great game.
  21. My purpose is ruined. I hate you all.
  22. Omg. Baseball puns, in a VN where you play baseball. I've already done the math and run the bases, it seems Kud won't strike out.
  23. Soda/Pop/Cola is pretty comparable to the states in terms of prices, though it can be a little more expensive if you don't find the right stores. Food itself is actually pretty cheap and things are very comparable in price to the US, however make sure you buy items from an actual grocery mart (like a Wal-Mart), rather than the convenience stores. When I was there, the exchange rate was 1 dollar = 102 yen, so I was saving some money on purchases. The most expensive thing? Milk. Japan has little to no dairy farms, and milk is the most expensive thing you will ever spend money on. Good quality (not 7 Eleven) milk costs abut 157-237 yen, per quart. 4 quarts in a gallon, you're looking at about 700 yen a gallon, so about 7-8 bucks for a full thing of dairy. Gallons where I am from cost about $2.37. It's pretty insane. As for train fares, just get a Suica pass. Main lines like Yamanote and the like run on the main "circle" for districts in Japan (Akihabara, Tokyo, Ikebukuro, Shibuya, Ueno), and so long as you stay within this line, its only about 120 yen minimum for 1 stop, and every stop after adds about 10-20 yen. However, once you branch off the main lines to go to the outer "fingers" of the track, that's when the prices reach about 200-400 yen each. Still, you put 10,000 yen down on Suica, and you should be set for an entire month + some.
  24. I didn't get the part about the inscription bit, but the rest I understood pretty well! Thanks for that practice!
  25. Another idea for the all the awards would be to simply tier the design itself. I instantly thought of League of Legends and their ranking system. Each new logo looks more intricate than the last, so we could do this for the awards as well, instead of being just a simple color change:
