This was a surprise! I really expected Grisaia to come first. Thanks to the prefundia, I got in early enough to choose if I wanted early bird physical or digital... Yesterday, I could have sworn I was going to get a physical copy, but at the last minute I decided I'd rather go digital and advertise VNs to my steam friends. Plus, knowing myself, I'd probably lose the disc eventually -- I can find the boxes, but none of the CDs to all my video games I played a decade ago =(

Question about the anime-original plot...

I quite liked Ayakashibito, it definitely ranks in my favorite 5 novels, though I'm not sure where it falls exactly in that list. So far, I've only bought OELVN's and most stuff that comes up on kickstarter... definitely planning on contributing to the upcoming Grisaia + Clannad campaigns, for example. I haven't played too many officially licensed games from JAST or MG yet, but I think I'm going to go with a try-then-buy stance. I kind of want to buy some sort of physical copy of S;G if they're still available. For games that are fan-translated and would require some sort of overseas purchase, that's just too high a barrier for me. I just download.

I got one of those 30-day trial crunchyroll memberships, and have been just catching up on everything that's currently airing. The obvious front-runners of the season are F/SN and Parasyte, but I'm really enjoying Inou-Battle so far as well. Grisaia isn't a god-tier adaptation, but I'm enjoying it for what it is -- I can understand the cuts that were made to fit it down to a single cour.

I used to drop by Anime club in high school just to hang out with a girl who went, so not sure about what we watched in there... but the first anime I watched since beginning to watch anime by myself this year was FMA.

Nah, I asked over on r/visualnovels, dovac said "They brought onboard their own translator that they vetted. We're assisting them in marketing and shipping physical goods. As well as getting their games up on western platforms." So SRL's hiring a dedicated translator.

Aw, I liked Asuho route... admittedly, nothing super exciting happens in it, but it's cute. If you just don't like her voice, you could mute her in the menu, HoshiMemo allows character-specific volume levels.
