Ahh my bad, just spent 8 hours under the sun (man the temperature was as high as 35C), the heat and exhaustion must have gotten to me. And as Life mentioned, Rewrite is a great VN. Also, where might you have heard that Akane's route and Moon/Terra isn't that great? They are, to both me and many reviewers, one of the best routes Rewrite has to offer. Some even said that Terra alone is worth playing through the whole of Rewrite, which I totally agree on.

Never expected that a fellow Singaporean will join Fuwa! Welcome, and I hope you'll enjoy your stay here! Oh and if you like kinetic novels, Narcissu is a good one. I recommend playing 2nd Side first though, but that's just my opinion.

Oh yes, it's gonna be very good. It's about the only thing I would call a masterpiece, hell it's even the top 2 manga/LN over at MAL. Welcome to Fuwa! I hope you'l enjoy your stay here. Rewrite, although not the best, is also my all time favorite VN! And since everybody else is recommending VNs, I'll recommend a LN instead. Read Utsuro no Hako to Zero no Maria (or HakoMari for short!) If you don't mind very dark stories, then you'll definitely like it!

You can still find ways to read it if you really want to. I doubt Steve is very proficient in Japanese either, but that didn't stop him from enjoying it. -

As you can probably guess, I'm gonna recommend you to read Utsuro no Hako to Zero no Maria (or HakoMari for short!) It's a masterpiece, you'll definitely enjoy it!

Err... maybe? I don't know about fun, but I do enjoy observing people at funerals. Although it might sound weird, it's interesting for me to see how each and every person react and behave, whether they're someone close to the deceased or just an acquaintance. Next person can speak in at least 3 different languages.

Kore wa Zombie desu ka?, Seitokai no Ichizon and Non Non Biyori are all pretty light-hearted and hilarious.

One guy one reddit brought up a disturbing theory that it is the continuation of the first game and it picks up after michiru's bad end where and it's all in her mind.

"Is your character known for giving great handjobs?" He actually asked that question.... He guessed Akane with very little questions, though that was kind of within my expectations. But he did get me, didn't expect him to have guessed Maria Otonashi from HakoMari that quickly. Although he couldn't guess characters from other less well-kown light novels such as Gekkou and Iris on Rainy Days.

If this is what "popular in the west" means, I rather it staying as it is right now... VNs will be treated as a joke if more of these gets localized. (And it doesn't help that there is a common consensus that VN's are just porn games.)

I tend to get turned off if the graphics of a game doesn't suit my taste. Even though I know that it's a great VN, I just can't bring myself to play it. And this might sound weird, but the UI also matter a lot to me. I tend to lean more towards VN's with beautiful UIs such as Rewrite and Grisaia no Kajitsu. I remembered dropping some VNs cause the UI and the font is not to my liking.
