Now this is a pompous douche, not the previous one.

Such a cute doggy!

This one came out better than I had expected it to. From a PM: "Fuwanovel produces high amounts of . It's best ingested in low quantities or it may lead to heart problems. Don't overexert yourself."

The Story of Watermelon☆Girl
Mr Poltroon replied to OriginalRen's topic in The Coliseum of Chatter
Fret not. There are equally proud members of your coterie around. -
Pfff, as if I'd ever give away my personal money for porn games disguised as story games to you lot. I haven't donated and I'm proud of it! #ScroogeMasterRace #NotEnoughMoneyToActuallyDonateButWon'tAdmitIt I'ts not that much of an issue... Expensive though.

Oi, you need to understand that I'm not as much of an idiot as I seem. Just because I understand what people say, that is the main thing with communication, it doesn't mean I agree with it. Either way, let us wait with bated breath for the imminent destruction of Fuwachat!

Not sure how to word it differently. Right now, the Shoutbox has a certain atmosphere and conversation topics and flow because there's a limited number of members right now which only go there because they enjoy it. If it's put on the front of the forums, then anyone can join in any moment with spam, random comments, derrail and it will generally completely break the existing flow. People would make use of the shoutbox because it's easy and right there, not necessarily because they like the small community and meaningful conversations which take place.

List of All VNs with English Partial Patches and Their Progress
Mr Poltroon replied to Decay's topic in Visual Novel Talk
Regarding Fortune Arterial... Why is the new project linking to here? https://cryingtranslation.wordpress.com/ I've looked through it, but I can't find anything. -
Fuwanovel: Ruining relationships since 2012. Turns out that, according to that test, I'm below average. Despite how I usually act. That real life intorvertedness.

Confession: I don't believe I have ever done it. And it does tend to have unfortunate consequences in the middle of the night while I sleep.

I question your definition of obvious, as it seems to be in line with my "Hidden amongst the rest of the hundreds of hyperlinks." Your click is also a page away, you forgot to mention. This is where the main difference lies from your point of view to some other people's. You complained the other day how I don't say anything useful or serious in the shoutbox. You seem to be under the impression that place is meant for useful and meaningful real time conversation. Truly, it isn't - but we manage to make it so by hiding it away. Also, note how you claim putting something on the front page means forcing someone to use it. By that logic I would have already used all those links and blog stuff and other nonsense. Does it hurt you so much, having to close the shoutbox? Ideally it will be hidden by default, for the sake of mobile devices or lackluster internet. On a rate of 1 to 10, please rate your annoyance at having that extra thing on the bottom you'll likely not even notice once hidden. On a rate of 1 to 10, please rate your annoyance at having to click a button and hide it. That is a good point, assuming people actually knew of the chat's existence. Oh, and did you notice? Many a times have members attempted to use the chat, however, given its severely limited current user base their comments went unanswered, and consequently, they went away and never came back, since the chat is "dead". I agree to an extent. I don't agree we should aim to have all the spam directed there, though I agree its content isn't mean to be detailed analyses of Visual Novels (hyperbole sign) To show how objectively inferior your opinion is, obviously. To figure out which is the group with the biggest amount of selfish members, I'd say.

As Stray Cat has told me, my luck is terrible, I failed my attempt to get a 0... -

I really do wonder what valid and important reason you provided Tay for your name change motivated by hype and adoration of a character. Either way, I much prefer Kaguya. (now that I was getting used Marie, as well)

Confession: I had food poisoning once. I vomited my stomach out. That is all.

It is one of two: The Shoutbox isn't used because it's hidden away behind the many already existing hyperlinks. The Shoutbox is just plain unpopular regardless of where it's at. Now here's my opinion. Back when it started it had quite a few people using it (hype hype n' stuff), but over time that started to drop. Why? I conjecture that it may have something to do with the fact that people forget it exists, or need to leave the forum to use it. Annoyingly enough, if I want to use the shoutbox I need to leave the forum. Alternatively I open a new tab but that still means I have to go to the trouble of doing that. That's my guess, anyways. Either way, trying it out at least for a while would show us whether it's option 1 or 2. Putting the shoutbox on the front page isn't exactly the same as coercing people into using it, I dare say.
-
Indeed. Why the hell would we have a shoutbox somewhere visible? That would, like, give it purpose or something. We like this mostly dead shoutbox where only a select group of members occasionally participate in.

Fuwanovel Member Trivia Game Final Round
Mr Poltroon replied to Stray Cat's topic in Members' Lounge
That's terrible! I wouldn't dream of doing something of this sort! *hint hint* -
I dislike getting genuinely angry or serious on the internet. It's a waste of bloody time. When I get angry my formality in writing increases threefold and my usual harshness in jest becomes bitterness instead. I have only become angry on two occasions, one was with Nosebleed and it was a huge headache for the both of us. The other was with the staff in general in a period where they were closing threads left and right. For the first one I spoke up. It acomplished nothing but the issue is now irrelevant. At least I had the sense not to do it in public but through PM. For the second one I complained in private. Eventually it stopped being as much of a thing and it's fine now. Looking back, I still believe I was in the right. Not in the right state of mind to discuss it, however. As for real life I speak with a smile as in "are you bonkers?" but usually give in easily. I don't like getting angry. I am of the belief you should speak your mind, but please, not when you're stubborn and angry.

Sheesh, I dunno. It certainly doesn't have anything to do with the usual lack of activity in the chat, that I'm sure of.

"How shall I let people know about my sudden death? Oh, wait." Pls, for gods sake, use your brain half the time if you would. You're causing severe pain in my sides.
