I normally dont really care what genre i play. What i do care about though is having a deep emotional story. I want a VN to make me bawl my eyes out in tears. The more i cry the better i love a VN. I prefer a happy ending though. It can be the most depressing and tragic story but if it has a good ending then it was all worth it. I think the best example would be Lily's route in KS. That ending. Heart wrenching to me.

Just like pretty much everyone else has said above, its all about personal preference. If yaoi and yuri are what you're in to then more power to you. I prefer to have neither in my love stories. I used to like yuri and actively seek it until i had a bad experience in my personal life and now i avoid it all together. I'm sure there are people that hate it just because it is gay. Just like there are people who just arent in to that. The world is made up of all kinds. Plain and simple.

Brink was a huge let down. Also, Bulletstorm, GOW 2, MW 2... But mainly Brink. Jesuse. I paid $60 for that crap. Biggest mistake of my life. Ever. It haunts me to this day.

So. In roughly ten months i will be going away to school to start learning a different language. I dont get to pick the language they teach me. So what i want to do is learn as much Japanese before i go so that it might influence them to pick Japanese as the language they'll have me learn. So far i have learned Katakana and Hiragana so next is Kanji. As of right now i am using RTK, Tae Kim's Guide, Anki, and i'd like to start using TextFugu. So my question is, am i going about this the right way? Is there anything more/better i could be using? Anything that can help it go faster? I only have ten months so i want to make effective use of my time. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
