Vibrantly colored eyes is definitely something that can really catch someone's attention. Some of my favorite characters in anime/VNs/mangas/games have those brightly colored eyes that stand out. A great suggestion.

So the current consensus seems to be something involving a creature. I personally am liking the idea of a chibi in animal costume type deal, similar to what Nosebleed posted up. Still brainstorming so if you have any suggestions, keep em coming

The vote was overwhelmingly in favor of exploring our options in creating an original Fuwanovel mascot character. As promised, here is a thread for people to put their suggestions up for this character. Before we do that though, I'd like to lay down a few ground rules, and note a few things to make this as painless as possible. It is a Fuwanovel tradition to have a huge argument over things, and take everything personally, along with fighting to the death over minuscule details. To avoid that, let me get this out of the way now: Not everyone is going to like whatever is decided on, and the Fuwanovel staff (mostly Tay I assume), not users will ultimately make the final design decisions. This thread is to merely brain storm and get the process started so I know what to officially propose to Tay in the very near future. The purpose for the mascot character is marketability. This is not a process to select your fetishes to represent every aspect of Fuwanovel. This is to pick a character type that represents Fuwanovel as a whole. This is bigger than just the forums. The new mascot character will be on all social media accounts, with the logo, along with (pending approval) making appearances on Fuwazette and FuwaReviews. This is a branding, not a time to shove your favorite character build/type onto everyone else. The character design will ultimately be a design that can proudly represent Fuwanovel in its entirety, and needs to appeal to the average otaku nerd. In short, nothing sexy. Think cute, not sexy. Regarding Lolis: Do not fight over lolis. I will go ahead and admit, it is highly doubtful, unless a great case can be made that a loli best represents Fuwanovel as a whole, that a loli will be designed. That said, still make a case for them, just don't argue and fight over them in this thread. With that out of the way, the thread is open to suggestions. Please keep shit posting and jokes to a minimum. Serious responses only, please. And finally, before posting, please consider this one question and respond to it. "If Fuwanovel were an anime/VN character, what would it look like?" Remember to keep in mind all aspects of the site, and the 3 notes I listed above.

Based what you listed, I don't think you will actually like most Key works. Give Rewrite a shot though. Its very different from the rest of Key's longer VNs and one of the only other ones, aside from Planetarian, not written by Jun Meada. As for a summary, magic n shit is the best way to sum it up quickly.

That may be a future goal, but for now, I want to stick with one mascot for $$$ reasons. I'd like to get a high quality one, professional grade so this ain't gonna be cheap. And no, I won't be creating them. Unless the community wants poorly drawn stick figures

Sounds like a lot of commission money I am but a humble retail worker. Hardly the 1% everyone speaks of. Don't worry, I am not going to shut out anyone when taking suggestions. Of course there will be a couple of ground rules that will be obvious, and I am aware not everyone will be happy with whatever is chosen, but I will do everything I can to ensure we get the best, and most inclusive we possibly can.

One reason we see so many imitation OELVNs is because most OELVN devs are fans of VNs like many of us here. They love it so much they want to make their own just like the superior Nippon race does.

So what if, we had our own original mascot, similar to Mangagamer? As much as I like using VN characters for our social media accounts and various logos, it would be neat to have an original character to use for everything. Thoughts on this? If there is enough interest, I can try to get the ball rolling on making this happen with input from everyone. For now, lets not discuss what the character would look like, just a simple yes or no will suffice

I love the way her eyes are done. For some reason, vibrantly colored eyes are something I love with character designs. I like "softer" designs. Designs that just look soft and feels like you can see the pencil strokes and what not. I'm not sure how to describe it, but Mel Kishida uses that style for his designs. For example, Rorona from Atelier Rorona.

Fuwanovel does not offer downloads anymore, however, sometimes random links will appear in your private messages.

I don't have it either. I wonder if people with certain mod permissions are able to clear it but others arent.
