I'd be more than happy to let you write a guest review for the Reviews Blog if you'd like.

I've been trying to. Last time I had recruitment open, I got two applicants. I accepted both. I've reached out to various otome writers as well and generally received no interest. Anyone who wants to write reviews right now, is already doing it. And the rest who want to, and want to join the team aren't quite at the standard I want. I absolutely love your idea, and in the future, I would love to do it. But right now it is limited by budget, manpower, and the fact most publishers are not going to give me three review keys.

Stars are a good idea for all the reasons you listed above, but most importantly, our plugin supports them already

Pros and cons section will absolutely stay. If score gets removed, it will be replaced by something else.

Which you totally can. Just not in this thread. Any more critiques, sarcastic remarks, or posts comparing, analyzing, or otherwise discussing the content of FuwaReviews will be marked for removal. This thread is strictly to discuss the removal of numbered scores, and the pros and cons resulting of. If you have nothing to say in regards to that, do not post in this thread. Feel free to create your own criticism thread, or discuss reviews in their respective threads. Thank you.

If I do away with numbered scores, there will still be a means for filtering them. The filtering, and sorting, is the main reason numbered reviews are still in place.

Right, enough off topic silliness. Back to the matter at hand, the actual act of numbering a review.

Reviews are not objective. I do the best I can to make sure people who are interested in a particular genre are reviewing those type of games.

This right here is the main reason I'm planning to do away with review scores and switch to a new system.

Keep it civil. This is not an evaluation of our reviews. Got a problem with a review, mention it in the review thread, or go make a "I want to complain about why x game didnt get y score" thread. This is strictly for the number system @Zenophilious

As promised, here is a thread for everyone to bitch at me about our review scores, and why you'd like to see them done away with. If you like the current score system, speak up. If you hate it, also speak up. If you have suggestions to make it better, or have an idea on something to replace it with, speak up.

This one already looked like trash with a trash cow lead. Not like this can make it worse.

I just realized that this mess also adds more evidence that Sekai Project, while running these kickstarters, may have been doing it under instructions from the JP home bases. Key, oddly enough, got the Clannad KS completed, and has since not used kickstarter.

This whole arrangement is dodgy, and Frontwing has been pretty shitty so far in the West. Really would be cautious with this.

Pretty sure its just cover for the sale. That said, MG has done very good April 1st jokes for two years in a row now. The euphoria steam one was pretty damn obvious and funny, and this one while slightly less obvious is a cool idea and we get a sale out of it. Not bad.
