They are not THAT different. You play a very similar role when you step into the MC. I'm not the first person to compare the two and enjoy the similarities they bring because of it. You make it sound like they're from different planets.

It's one of my favorites. If you liked Sharin no Kuni, you'll like Grisaia. It comes down to how you like pacing though. Sharin is fast paced, leaving you pretty anxious for time with the characters. It does a pretty good job of raising your heart rate. Grisaia had a few of those moments. It's a lot more laid back with the slice of life stuff where there's no immediate sense of danger. You'll yawn for about a majority part of the VN. They purposely add in those mundane days to give you that realistic slice of life feeling. All those days though are what brings you closer to everyone. Everyone genuinely felt like a supporting family unit to me by the time I started the third route. You'll hate one or two of them but love them at the same time. There's a lot of cross over heroine interactions that Sharin didn't have. Both have troubled heroines and similar MCs.

So is Aldnoah.Zero's relationship between Inaho and Slain going to be similar to Valvrave's protagonist and dueteragonist? They might start off as enemies and end up on the same team.

I've tried making it useful, but I'd rather pause it in any situation I'm not interacting with my computer. The best use of auto mode I've seen it is making videos.

I approve of this thread. I was thinking about this last night as I was reading a manga who's protagonist looked over 40, who's best friend was balding and both whom were overweight. That's a good addition. You probably know more than you realize . There are a lot of buried good threads I ran into when I did research on Visual Novels through google. Keeping a record of these topics is like taking a snapshot of history - keeping the good 'ol memories this place has.

Just caught up with 4 and 5 of Rail Wars! Each episode brings a tit*ilating experience. All the women are cute and sexy. I love the fan service and chemistry between Taka and and all the females - Sakurai in particular. Episode 5 was ridiculous. Didn't think they could repeat the "bodies colliding" trope so many times but they pulled it off. My summer favorites so far are 1. Akame Ga Kill 2. Aldonoah 3. Rail Wars! 4. Barakamon 5. Welcome to the fray. AGK is indeed an unfriendly place but that's what makes it so interesting. Anyhow, just saw episode 4. We got to see the ball rolling finally. It's getting to the faster and meatier parts of the manga. They upped the animation this episode for the fights. It seems they are saving up for the ladder parts of the manga, thank god. The anticipation for Esdeath is getting me ever more excited each passing episode. Yes, I love Chelsea, Kurome and Seryu as well. The OP for the anime has this just wicked teaser for Jaeger. I had to grab a still shot and make something out of it.
