Give Advice to Someone on How to Date You
Cyrillej1 replied to rainsismyfav's topic in The Coliseum of Chatter
Remember, I'm just one person (and might not be the typical kind) . But that's how it seems to work for me personally. I can't really imagine being with someone if I don't even know them well enough as a good friend yet. I use the term "Dating" a bit more seriously as actually being interested in a future relationship with them, not just 'testing' things out. Yeah~ I feel the same way. Once in a relationship, it's nice to be able to fully show how much you care without any possible boundaries being crossed that shouldn't be in a friendship. I think in the back of my mind somewhere.. that idea may be there too. I take the decision to be committed to someone very seriously as well... and it's probably what makes me hesitant to jump into relationships until I can see the potential for it to last (at least a long time I hope). I see little point in starting something that would last just a couple weeks or months.. it'd also just be really sad as well after investing myself into it. -
Give Advice to Someone on How to Date You

On a more serious note, advice I'd give to someone trying to date me... This song describes how I typically approach relationships https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Nj0TymqU4y0 Need to be a good friend first, and most importantly, be genuine. I guess that's not really useful advice, lol. Traits I always look for are kindness, helpfulness, openness, flexibility... pretty much, overall I must sense the person is a good person at the core and can click with me in personality. My goal in a relationship is to be comfortable enough to be totally open, and interest in supporting each other through life. I value open communication and kindness and would need that to continue being with someone. Having things in common of course really helps. So simply... I'm a bit picky... I'll only want to date someone if I sense a potential for deep emotional connection with them. There isn't really anything they need to specifically Do, so much as just show me the kind of person they are and connect with me well.. and then just be receptive if I start opening up and going after 'em. I think I'm a slow with this kind of thing since I think about everything that could possibly happen, and get afraid... so I like to take things at my own pace. Short Description: Someone that can love and put up with me forever, lol... Lol.. I think I tend to talk about myself a lot when in the right mood. I don't think it's that I like talking about myself, but more I want to explain myself well to not get misunderstood. I want the person I've opened up to, to understand me better, just like I enjoy understanding them better (or at least trying to). -

I'm guessing, at first all the girls will be curious about him. Depends how his personality is though, if he's friendly, cool, easy to get along with and such, he'll probably get popular~ among the girls. If he's quiet, keeps to himself though, then I bet he'll just mostly get ignored and treated friendly but perhaps distantly. Being the only guy though.. yeah, whatever he does, it'll probably get noticed and talked about. He'll probably get really self-conscious about it... I think that actually kinda sucks for him, since he won't have guy friends to hang out with at school (some girls may be too conservative to actually be close friends with him.. and to avoid gossip). Btw.. I don't think all girls around that age are catty, and mean. Depends on the group of girls you're interacting with. -
Yes, I hope so. Whaa-? I don't think I'm intimidating at all.

Kurt, h-how could you betray Linova & Grim, they're such nice people! I hope you keep your word though, for Grim's sake. Don't kill him >_<;; I'm glad we were able to trust each other Eclipse & Funya. Will I be able to put my trust in you again Eclipse? Btw, Sanada, I'm not mad at you or anything for winning the last time we played together. It wasn't your fault that you weren't able to attend so I hope we can start off on good terms as well. @Linova - I think SoulJustin & Funya would ally with you if you tried to work things out with them, but I can understand how you'd be on your guard.

Happy Birthday Zalor! Hope you have a good one!

If you want something more typical, sweet high school romance that makes you feel awww and fluffy, I'd say go for Kaho or Kyoko first. Otowa Yuka was also my favorite route and character (I cried a lot playing through hers).. I think Yuka and Ayame's routes are a bit more complicated, and troubling in terms of their character story though..but also very good (to me). I think you should go for which character captures your interest first based on their personality so you can get most enjoyment from getting to know them better.

If we aren't completely sure if we're participating, would we still be able to recommend some games? The only games I have that are rogue-like that I can think of is... (I haven't finished them) Wii - Final Fantasy Chocobo Dungeon PS3 - Guided Fate Paradox PSVita - Sorcery Saga: Curse of the Great Curry God

Confession: I did my first live gaming stream tonight.. and actually had fun with the interaction . Though it might have been boring for people that watched me, since I can be really quiet, lol. I played a short horror game~

Yessss~ it's worth a read. -nods nods nods- one of my favorite romance VNs I've read.

Funya & Eclipse, I'll ally you guys. I hope you can do the same

The most betrayals and deaths in that game so far Oh, no.. Mr. Tiago is gone. Who is gonna give everyone hope now? Well, I wish everyone good luck in the next game!

I don't really find ghosts as scary as mutated monsters chasing after me or crawling creepily around, etc. -shudders- xD I mean it can be scary, but I find the zombie/monster/alien games scarier. Probably because they are more gory/bloody too. The ghosts don't look too scary sometimes since they look human at least. I kind of laughed at the one ghost that was pushing a shopping cart on top of the roof in Fatal Frame2, trying to run me over with it.. did you ever see that one? I admit, I lower the volume when I play these types of games though Btw, I found this translation of the novel the Japanese Fatal Frame movie is based off on for anyone interested.

I have a Wii, PS1/2/3/4/Vita, 3DS. For PC emulator, I'll only play SNES, GBA, DS, PSP, or PS1 games on it. I'm a bit picky about what I choose to play, but maybe~ I'll participate if it's a game I'm interested in trying too.

If I read it in English, I just skip the voice once I finish reading it. It feels like a drag, to wait on it since I'd read it way faster. If I'm reading it in Japanese, I always let the voice finish, and mostly try following along. For H-scenes, it depends.. Well, there are also times I'll let a VN go into Auto mode, while I read it in English... almost like watching an anime with subtitles.. I do that, if I feel it's engaging enough or in the mood to be patient.

Yeah, Arya is my favorite character.. I hope she gets to dish out some revenge! Most looking forward to her development.

I don't think the Fatal Frame games are as scary as the Resident Evil, Silent Hill games. Less blood.. unless you're stuck in scary rooms ... I think the parts that creeped me out the most were the doll room & story.. and blinded ghost. They're good though~ 2 is probably my favorite story of them. 3 is cool, since you get to play both in reality and in a dream.. and they start to get blurred together... it also has the main character from game1 playable in it. I can handle the puzzle survival horror games better than the violent weapons/shooting kind xD... I freak out when I run out of weapons and things are killing me.. blood/gore everywhere...

Riviera The Promised Land, The VN that wasn't
Cyrillej1 replied to Zalor's topic in Visual Novel Talk
I've played this game on the snes before and really liked it at the time. I think I got Fia's ending first, then Cierra, and then Serene. I forgot who my favorite was though. There's no movement, just making choices on what/who to interact with, and fighting enemies so yeah~ -
My memory is a bit fuzzy about when exactly I encountered this site.. but I was just looking up information on possible visual novels I could play, and saw Fuwa's collection of VNs. At that time, I also remember being really intrigued when I read the About page, about Aaeru and her mission statement. Unless I'm wrong.. I think there used to be a Volunteer tab on the homepage, and that's how I discovered the forum later on.

I might be interested, but it depends on what system, game, and how this will work out. I mostly just play Rpgs.. current one I'm playing right now is FFType-0.
