  1. umm, how about this one? ..it can be pretty twisted and dark in an emotional/blackmail kind of sense. Lots of hentai scenes as well since the main character is pretty much a pervert. If you want something more light-hearted, Crescendo is a nice romance VN. There's some drama, and love triangles, but depends which route you go into.
  2. I don't think there are any other english released Tales games on the PS3/4 right now besides Tales of Grace, Xillia 1-2, Symphonia, and Tales of Hearts R on Vita. Btw, have you ever tried the Star Ocean games? Their battle mechanics and field exploration are somewhat similar to the Tales series but tend to center more around traveling across multiple worlds kind of story.
  3. what kind of 'hardcore' stuff? Like do you mean more ecchi/hentai in it, or more of a dark twist to the story that isn't the light hearted kind?
  4. I already went to one near me, and it was my 4th time. I mostly like browsing the vendor area and seeing all the anime/game stuff there.
  5. I usually like to watch actual gameplay videos before deciding to get a game. So found one of Attack on Titans: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4dNEimB6g9c Urgh, I may throw up playing this... I think I'll have to skip on this game even though I like the anime. I'm excited about the Fire Emblem games though.. definitely want those.
  6. oh..yesss.. that was pretty sweet looking. So now I'd have two reasons to get a Wii U, this game and Xenoblade Chronicles X. Hmmm~ oh, and also Fatal Frame 5.
  7. -nods in agreement- it's the avatar booby trap.
  8. I remember you as a huge fellow fan of the 999/Zero Escape, and Danganronpa games -high fives- ..and how you're bad with spoilers, lol. So you're memorable to me~
  9. Confession: I like Flutterz's new dancing avatar ^^ it's cute.
  10. Confession: Since I saw lots of people confessing how they had trouble dating, I thought I'd share this video to help you guys out!
  11. Confession: My voice sounds like a little kid ;p
  12. Confession: I like to sing, and it's fun... but my voice cracks a lot, and can't sing well especially the high notes. I have more of an alto voice The songs I like to sing are usually from anime or video games I've played/watched, and my favorite places to sing are alone in the car and in the shower.
  13. "only 40%..... wait, that's actually quite a lot, mmm..." Lol.
  14. I can't waaaaiiiiit!!! moorrree!
  15. Omega Quintet - Teaser PS4 (April 28, 2015) Omega Quintet - Battle Trailer PS4 An idol group singing and fighting to save the world with music?! Not sure what's it actually about , but it seems interesting, and very cute. The battle looks like it can be fun too.. harmonics & music, reminds me of Ar Tonelico in a way.
  16. lol... warning, gore I actually found that pretty amusing No joke though, I actually find the crazy first episodes where there's mass slaughter somewhere or death instantly captures my attention... it's like, oh my gosh, what in the world just happened!? -clicks next episode- It's something that keeps me on the edge of my seat, since there's a seriousness to the story.. I mean, people are getting killed! some that come off the top of my head:
  17. When there's lots.. lots of blood, and people Die.
  18. Ohh these are really nice videos to practice Listening too ^^ looks like there's many different teachers doing different lessons. Thank you!
  19. I may not be as invested in trying to learn Japanese and given up more easily maybe. VNs are very useful to me as jp learning material but can also be fun to read and there's different levels, voice, backlog option, etc. The usual hobbies, movies, anime, video games, drawing, reading. When I do choose a book to read without being forced to, I usually like non-fiction kind of books because I feel I could learn something from them or change my way of thinking... and I like to read fiction as VNs since I enjoy seeing the artwork, choice, etc. So without ever knowing VNs, I may have been more into reading fiction books too.
  20. I feel like that as well, though, it would be nice to also be one of them By the way, what kind of living arrangements are we in behind the door? Do we have unlimited amount of food supply? It might not be so bad to stay behind people~ ......
  21. One of my favorite romance VN is Crescendo as well^^ Umm, I'd say I'm about close to N3 level probably. I think I know a couple hundred kanji, but not sure what the exact number is... I might recognize more. It depends on how difficult the reading material is, and I do use text hooker to help me look up words I don't know. My progress sounds similar to you though, especially on more difficult VNs... even though it seems like I should know the grammar, and the vocabulary used in the sentence, I may still not totally understand what it's trying to say still... so yes, it can be frustrating~. There's a VN I'm reading right now which seems to be more beginner level, so I don't encounter that problem nearly as much with the harder ones, and can read way faster without having to stop a lot. Also, someone told me not to obsess over one sentence too much if you at least understand the gist. The point is to keep reading as much as you can to get more exposure and practice. Well, it seems the thread Fiddle pointed you towards is catered more to help people who are trying to Translate something on their projects I think. It looks like the thread you linked is Pinned, so yeah, you could probably revive it even if it's dead. It's worth a try, someone may help you if they see it^^
