  1. Clannad!! Great story and she can get used to the feeling of reading a visual novel along the way. Don't know her preferences though

Hi! Join us whenever you're free :).

  3. I can only speak for myself but 'bad' artwork doesn't really bother me I guess. I enjoyed Fate/Stay Night even though it's in a 800x600 screen and the quality isn't overwhelming. Steins;Gate is similar. There is no hd art like in the new games but the art still blends in really well with everything else it has to offer, creating a unique and amazing atmosphere while playing. I wouldn't even classify Steins;Gate's art as bad. Bad would be deformed objects or limbs that the artist didn't quite manage to get right or really bad backgrounds and so on.
  4. Hi havoc and welcome to Fuwanovel I know everybody says this but you should really read Steins:Gate and Clannad. If you enjoy vn's with gameplay elements (especially strategy) then you should check out the Eushully games. Of which only Kamidori Alchemy Meister is translated (story isn't great but I still enjoyed the game for two hundred hours lol)
  5. Wow... I finally understand how non-japanese, non-VN-fans must feel like when confronted with moe culture. Which means there must surely be some people who like this sort of thing.
  6. Yep, it's really just the interface which has been translated so far. I don't know of anyone who said he wants to start a project either. I've played the game a bit some time ago but I must admit I just can't deal with Eushully's games.. Or maybe I just suck at CCGs lol.. Playing Madou Kokakou (also only interface patch) and I suck at that one too haha Guys I'm helpless with these kind of games
  7. Well, I believe that rather than rewriting an existing one it would be much better to produce a new, better one. But that might just be because I haven't seen many that were wasting their potential..
  8. Welcome to the forums nik Be cautious of aliens during your journeys

  12. Actually I'd love to get the BDs when the series is really good but I seriously can't afford that.. New releases tend to have 3 - 4 episodes on a bd (which is an extreme waste of resources lol) and in addition to that it costs too much. Older releases with the whole series on one BD would be affordable and I'm thinking about buying some of the Studio Ghibli movies as a starter.

  16. Now is the time where we have to act. If we don't do something, the next generation of western Otaku will be walking around in this.. Man I can already see the eyes of young Otaku's looking at us and our 2d girls in bewilderment
  17. In japanese there is never a wa before desu. The correct sentence would probably be 'Kuruma desu ka.' I hope that book doesn't give you that kind of crap in the future because it can seriously interrupt your learning process if you have to work with bad material. If that book continues like that, I'd contact the publisher and ask if there's a new edition that doesn't contain the mistakes.
  18. forums to the welcome stay your enjoy!

  21. Damn delicious that looks but a bit too crunchy for my taste. And I could skip on the laxative, doesn't fare well with my biorhythm.. If I were to make a sandwich it would definitely contain 1. a crunchy bar
  22. Feel free to do so. It also helps me when I'm answering questions because I'll internalize it better that way.
  23. Sachi's bad end is so lame~~~~~~~~~~~ ((((*。_。)_

  24. Unless you're learning taiwanese or something you shouldn't get too confused. A good starting point is of course to learn all the hiragana and preferably katakana. I assume the book uses Romaji to teach you right? If so, you could probably practise the hiragana by writing the appropriate ones above the Romaji. (That's just one way to do it of course) And like always, you can ask lots of questions, not just me but anybody on this forum
  25. I'd bet you haven't set your system locale to japanese yet. If that's the case, here is a guide on doing so: Please be careful to take a look at the sticky topics, that often solve your questions faster than waiting for a reply
