How come Planetarian and Eden* are so low ? When VNs gain on popularity top sellers are always eroge and dating-sims, even in the west, that's depressing.

Unique atmosphere and casting that you will not find in any other VN (translated that is, it's as far as I know). Outstanding music. In the first two seasons : chapter 5 in S1 and chapter 2 in S2 are what make RGD truly amazing even though witch hunt hasn't released yet a translation patch for S3 and S4. Leo is one of the best protagonist out there. Minigame is damn addictive. Great chara-design. Very interesting history wise, personally I find post-war Japan pretty "attractive" the way R07 puts it.

Finished Majikoi, I already know that it was "fan service : the visual novel:" but Agave route exceeded my expectations in that aspect It was a really good experience, great atmosphere and overall I found it very endearing. If Majikoi S is fully translated one days the series may well leaves a really strong impression on me, not as a masterpiece but as something unforgettable like old cartoons or comic strips, it's always possible to come back to it to have a good time. I have a hard time finding big flaws but also noticeable qualities, that said, I recommend it (but everyone is reading Majikoi so...). Capt best character btw

Damn it, finished Wanko's route in Majikoi and I don't know if it was intentional but until the end it was really depressing imo. I still need to do Miyako and Momoyo's routes but I really have a hard time looking at Wanko now. I'm usually not THAT affected by stories that have supposedly an emotional impact but Majikoi, as a comedy, really caught me off-guard. But that's just me, from an objective viewpoint it's not less lighthearted than Mayucchi and Chris's routes. Still, it's demoralizing .. -_-

Well, thanks, that's reassuring. I'm not playing it anytime soon but it's still good to know that I probably won't be going crazy to make it works properly when I get to it.

It shouldn't be impossible to dump the PC translation into PS2 version, I think...But I don't know which file(s) contains the script, that's the problem.

Is that true that Utawarerumono is overly buggy on Windows 7 ? I'm interested in it but it seems to be a real pain to make it works normally from what I've read.

Finished Yu-No yesterday, one of the greatest VN ever written, a shame that a lot of people avoids it because it looks old. So, for a more relaxing ride I chose Majikoi and well...I think I will not regret it.

This is without doubt the best VN with shitty jokes that are actually funny. Takuya is a really good protagonist. I believe that you're using a walkthrough ? Because even if it's great story-wise this might be one of the worst game design I ever seen, even for 1996 it's incredibly redundant if you don't know what to do.

Personally I really don't understand the need to explain surnatural or uncommon phenomena in stories that definitely don't need an explanation, seriously what is the point if it's not a key element in the plot like Umineko for instance? I'm sure a lot of writers are aware that most of readers want a reason for everything that exists and that isn't in the real world. Because of that they're wasting time to just make up something that would look like a tad bit credible when it's not relevant at all. What is relevant is the message that the author wants to convey, it shouldn't be obstructed by superficial things imo. Has someone needed an explanation about the device used for lightsabers to appreciate Star Wars? Same thing.

Yoruko from Comyu, definitely. (because it would be the best opportunity to give more screentime to Gasai )
