Checked them out, Stray dogs is just not my kind of series. To me the first episode felt all over the place. Joker game looked like it could come to be a great series, there was just something about it that really irked me the wrong way. Dont know why though. I have managed to find another decent enough series though, Hai-furi. I skipped it at first because the synopsis just sounded like your generic cute girls doing cute things anime. But it actually is more like a mix between girls und panzer, strike witches (minus the panty shots) and a bit of School live mixed in between it. As for the second episode of Kabaneri, i have not yet watched it as the only one out now is a fan translation of a Chinese version. (i believe it also had hard coded Chinese subs still in it) So i will wait for next week when ep 2 will be out in good quality.

flying witch is pretty good, only one which i was personally hyped for this season. most others where wait and see if it was worth it, and most were not worth it. The season is pretty bad this time, but we cant always have great season. only series I really watch this season are Flying witch (best series of the season) Macross delta (Have not made my mind up about this one, its fun but I dont yet know how good it is as a macross series) kabaneri of the iron fortress. (not sure, first ep looks good, but this as a chance to go either way) Rezero (pretty fun, but wether it will be good i dont know yet) And Ushio to tora. (good series, but it is just the second season and as such not a new show)

I have recently been playing world end economica and while I had no problems with episode one aside from a blank font selection box (Is this normal?) i do seem to have a minor technical issues with episode two. For some reason the test speed option seems to take whole words as an advance speed instead of individual letters as episode 1 did, this leads to a rather jaggy experience, so I had to set text speed to max (instant). personally I don't think this is a very pleasant way to read, so is there anyway to fix it? Another question, does anyone know that font episode 1 uses so i can select it for episode 2?

personally i really have some troubles with the animation, it is just awkward. Its been a long time scince we had animation this bad right from the outset. Combine that with horrible pacing and you get this mess. The expressions look bland characters go off model and the backgrounds look horrible, this is a series that could really benifit from decent animation quality and decent pacing. without those it will fall flat. just my opinion though.

Dont judge a book by its cover. But then again, a good quality sub or dub is most likely necessary for this series. But hey it is not like they are speaking Klingon or Baronh either.

I finally managed to ''finish'' rewrite, it only took me a year. For some reason i just could not get into the story which was why i originally shelved it was starting to bore me. Even after i restarted it i just could not get into it and ended up pretty much skipping through the whole thing. It bothers me because this is generally considered a good VN, and the overall story is something i usually enjoy. So i cant really find a good reason to dislike the VN, the only one i can think of is that i never really enjoyed the character of the male lead.

Banner of the stars. because it has the best characters i have ever seen. And some of the best world building in a relatively short amount of time. Spice and Wolf. Because it has some of the most fun characters to watch and the world is interesting.

voted for Gahktun, because it seems like the most interesting novel in the list. As for noble work, it is a fun VN to read. But for your mental health, you can stay away from it. The other option is to use the skip button to skip trough the not so important bits and only read the important bits of the routes that you still have to read. I do that quite often after i have read two or three routes of a VN, because i eventually tend to get tired of the repeating same old stuff. This differs per VN though. I am personally in a similar position with Rewrite, i just can seem to get into the VN, and i cant see why. I like most of the characters, the story is decent, the comedy is decent. The only thing kind of missing is world building.

from comments in the forum section on myanimelist, it seems that it is just a partial adaptation where they really stretched the slice of life stuff. But it seems like the series is finally gathering steam, still cant understand the decision of quon though it seems wierd and does not really fit the atmosphere. Also, Dimension W is for me the most entertaining new series of the season. Not the best but definitly the most entertaining.

So utawarerumono finally kicked off in earnest, i do wonder how they plan to bring the series to a decent ending in a mere 7 episodes.

managed to finish Noble Works and cartaga. Noble works was a pretty fun ride, nothing special and in some ways very similar to Princess Evangile. But i needed something on the happy side of the spectrum at the time, and i generally like these types of stories if they are done good enough. cartaga, I just need to lose this: The picture on the vndb page and the menu is a BLOODY SHAM. And no i dont mean about the story, i read the synopsis, i mean about the type of character the person on the picture is. Such a big mismatch. Not to say she was not a pretty adorable character. On other news, I am thinking of starting on Long live the queen, but i am in doubt as to Werther it will be worth it as i generally dont really enjoy these choice heavy games.

Yeah, but it was to be expected that this series would be more about that world and the relations between the people in it, as it is the middle section of the overarching story. On another note, Ash just got real this week. Not that it was unexpected, but i did not expect it so soon. And i really like the slow pacing, it has been a long time since we had something nice and slow.

yeah, this could become something quite special. Or fuck up in quite a special way. Personally i really like the very slow pacing, it has been a long time since we had a show with a good slow pace you could relax with.

Tiago, altough you probably already know, the novels are available in english and licensed by yenpress. And the story does not take a turn for the worse as far as i know. (Have only read up to novel 12 as that is all i currently own of the series)

Nice list, and I agree completely with most of the ones, well the ones I watched. Nice to see people still makes lists and express their opinion instead of trying to represent the general opinion. It makes for a far more interesting read and conversation topic. And I agree about akatsuki no yona, it kind of could have used a confession of some sort at the end. But the anime did not go for a original ending, it seemed like it would be getting a second season but for now it looks like a awkward ending to a good series. But I am kind of surprised to say you hate harem anime, most people dont hate it but just find most dime a dozen harem series incredibly boring. (I fall into that category) And I can quite like some harem anime, but in that case the harem slock most not be the only thing going for it.

Just watched the first episode of dimension W. I was planning on skipping this one thanks to the pretty bad name synopsis but boy am i glad i did not. It has a really nice feel to it, gritty but not gloomy. It really reminds me of solty rei.

true enough, but the generally dont make these kind of series if they are not at least planning to make them work. does of course not mean that always works. And there are numerous recent examples of that.
