Could not agree more. You should try to read the gate in that case. It has got a good protagonist he may be a coward but he is one of the few good cowards. better said he is the ''ow well what ever happen happens'' coward. That and half the crew being otaku's dropped in a fanatsy world makes for good comedy. We even got a real goth loli. for the loli lovers. It can get a little grapic at time tough. Example:

By that i means that the idea is good, the execution not so much. It could have been a lot better if it was executed with a little less fanservice and had given a bit more brains and character to the main characters And while fanservice generally is not my thing, i will admit there are some good ones out there. Hmmm interseting point of view i grew up in holland and generally we don't grow up with magic. Of course there are some fairytales around. But by the time you are 5 you generally already know they are fake. As for me Santa claus was never really something i believed in. Sinterklaas was something i did believe in until i was about 7 i think. Also The gate manga might be worth checking out. It generally has some adult themes and politics plays a role in it as well Altough not as much in the novels. It was the first manga i actually read. I generally prefer anime or books or vn so pretty picky about my manga. hey i know this is only slightly relevant but, its been bugging me for ages now. How come almost every fantasy story that pits science vs magic goes for the unrealistic outcome of having the magic side win? Science is much more likely to win bacause you know you don't really have time to shout a six word spell for a barrier while someone is shooting at you with a assualt rifle. Because you know bullets are a little faster...... Well I suppose there are exceptions like zero no tsukaima and The Gate thus the JSDF fought there but those are really rare exceptions. Also The gate is a great manga by the way. With a good story and likable charaters. It is adapted from a novel, unfortunatly it is not translated wich is a real shame. As far as i am aware the reason is is that it is to difficult to translated. Another thing that has been bugging me is, Why is it always the whimps that get summond to another word, would it not be nice if we got a soldier summond to another word for a change. Just imagine Louise summoning a special force soldier who was on a training excercise instead of saito. I think that would make for some great comedy. And having a proactive protagonist for a change would be nice as well.

I quite liked harry potter, but i can also see why people dislike it. And while i do still like it i must say there are way better fantasy story's out there. Just today i finally got around to watching castle in the sky. Great movie.... well it is Ghibli so ..... kind of expected that

it is, and while the study is anything but easy it is a lot of fun for the most part. It also has got a lot of vatiety wich keeps it interesting. Altough there is the occasional subject that is just one boring part after another. But most of us who still study it are slightly mad and scatterbrained. And strangly enough most of us know what the other needs even when all that is said can you get me that what we need for.... Wierd how that goes sometimes Prime example of me being scatterbrained: I actually managed to forget what a fork was called for nearly a week. Felt pretty stupid afterwards And is loving your work not one of the best things to be able to do. Once work becomes a chore there is not much fun left after all. ...Fuck me, man. Staying away from that route, then. Play makina's route it is worth the inapropiate H-scenes, just stay as far away from the bad ending as possible. As for yuij brain failure, it is more his social skills failing miserably. well it is to be expexted they where never good and he needs good social skills for both Miciruciru and sachi's routes and in both routes that is where he failes. But his failure is understandable if you take his past into account. Ow and for the long bits about thier failure you will be suprized about how short that part is for miciruciru. As for Maijkoi, her route is not bittersweet i believe but i can't say for shure as it is not translated. She just want's your genes and give herself to you.

I probably will give in and play it at one point for completion's sake, but it might be a bit odd. It's more cute to just read her bad japanese and watch Amane scold her for trying to be a slut/trying to be like Yuuji. She is much more than bipolar and i will admit her route suprized me as well. Well, when it comes to Makina, I expect that she called nearly every day after she left if you really think about it. Probably giving an insightful recap of 'Tunafish Man' occasionally. Fate/Stay Night Fate Route Spoilers and Kazuko's Majikoi Route below. Spoilermania right now. Unfortunatly i believe not all h-scens are that funny. Recap of what i remember. I won't go into details tough.

I always use a walkthrough as well, sometimes ends up with me getting slightly spoiled, like you can see by the spoiler, but I have to, because as you and I said, life sucks enough without me getting depressed over other things, might as well be as happy as you can be while doing something you love. Some little spoilers below, nothing that major, but it could spoil something for you, I guess. EDIT: I concede regarding Makina. You have a point. Now that is a funny edit . But personally i did not find the fate ending to be that bittersweet. I found it more sweet that bitter if anything. ( I used the flow chart so all i got was the scene name and that only gave away what the funny scenes where)

What this guys says. Personally i will always use a walkthrough because i am not that good with bad endings. And some vn's have a lot of bad endings wich in some cases is not that bad like fate/ stay night. Generally if you get a bad ending in fate you made a rather stupid choise. (but dont forget to sometimes save before a bad choise and choose it before reloading back a save some bad choices dont lead directly to bad endings but lead to positively hilarious scenes. But these choices can cause a bad ending later on if you make to many of them.)

agreed completely they went a tad bit to far with the ending there. Always forget the spoiler tag. edit: 2: sachi route choice. I will try to answer this without spoiling it but read at your own risk.

I also recommened that one along with about 4 other. But if a type moon vn is not in your first 5 vn's you are doing something wrong. As for me fate/stay night was my second vn and tsukihime my third. Koihime musou was my first. it was good but nowhere near as good as the ones i sugested. (but you know power of nostalgia is stronk)

You are forgetting something about her route, shortly after yuji found out she tells him she origionally did it out of obligation and later actually came to love him even though she did not wan't to fall for him because she felt she needed ''punishment''. Other thant that i personally also can't deel that well with bad endings life throws enough shit at you the way it is. I can live with bittersweet endings thoug. But personally i think that it should have ended when the baby was born and makina whent to study in germany i believe.

I dumped it origionally after the first episode, only when i found out it slightly more than a fanservice rompslomp i came back. The concept is great the execution not so much
