Aside from what has ready been touched upon, another reason I'm fine with Chinami is that I don't recall her ever being mean spirited. She can be annoying and act carelessly as younger sisters do, but she cares about her brother and tries to do well by him. I'm pretty sure people liked Aoi, Komomo and Mare better because they were "cuter", "cooler", "less hyper" or whatever, I dunno. But I found them more annoying. I don't care that they probably become nicer later, I didn't even finish the common route. And as I've said earlier in this thread, I don't like tsunderes. I don't like how by the end of a story, two characters can end up with similar nice personalities; but because one of them was initially hostile she's more popular than the one who was always pleasant. Sometimes both in-universe and fanbase wise. There's also the fact people often confuse "strong female character" with "hostile/aggresive/emotionally unstable female character", but that's a discussion for another time. I understand the gap-moe concept and respect people's differing tastes, it's just not for me. There, the most unpopular paragraph I've ever written.

I started Assasination Classroom recently. Been a while since I've seen a trap MC. He's not Mariya tier, but he's still a pretty cool guy.

Not one but TWO Nichijou gifs were posted, I think this thread can be considered a rousing success.

Yeah I don't see many Otome translated at all. A few that I was interested in trying weren't translated, so in the end I went with The Second Reproduciton. I couldn't even get through the common route. Characters annoyed me. And for an unpopular opinion within an unpopular opinion - I found Chinami one of the LEAST annoying heroines.

Also stopping everything to jump back into Majikoi. I dunno about everyone else, but Miyako is easily my fav heroine. So while some people may just be excited because it means they can finally finish the VN, I'm exicted because I can finally read the route of best girl. I mean, I still don't plan to read Chris' route. But Miyako's, SO HYPE. Unforetunately I deleted the game (for some dumb reason) when I was done with it last time, so I have no save file. But that's fine, I'm just gonna skip the common route then re-read all the Miyako scenes I saw last time. May download a 100% save file later.

I prefer linearity in VN's to excessive branching. For some lots of choices and branches are why they enjoy VN's, but I just enjoy it as a storytelling medium; and feel that stuff usually gets in the way. As far as I know this may not actually be an unpopular opinion, I'm just assuming it is based off past experience.

Jun was the only thing I enjoyed in Happiness. Too bad I can't read Japanese, I think his route would be an interesting experience. Never read a trap VN route before (unless you count Kappei in Clannad, but it's not really the same).

3/10. Awkward size and I don't like the character (100% bias).

True. Very much so. I like wearing them irl and I like seeing anime/VN characters of both genders wear them. Next person likes Twintails.

Which Untranslated VNs Do You Wanna Go Through?
hydro replied to LinovaA's topic in Visual Novel Talk
I've come across a fair few new-ish VNs while browsing VNDB that I would like to try. Don't remember all their names specifically, but I remember thinking "I'd read this" for a few. Naturally the newer something is, the less likely it's gonna have a translation, these things take time after all. In addition to liking what I read of the plot/characters, the artwork was super crisp, as is the case with most newer VNs. As for older/specific examples: Secret Game Kimi ga Nozomu Eien Mashiro Iro Symphony Kimi ga Aruji de Shitsuji ga Ore de Grisaia sequels Majikoi sequels (Though I care more about Miyako route int he original than the sequels) Yosuga no Sora Motoka route. Some of these are in progress, some aren't, but I'm interested in all of them to varying extents. -
Been reading Rewrite recently. Still in the common route. It's not Grisaia level, but it's better than Hoshimemo's. I like Shizuru/Kotori, am kinda neutral towards Akane/Chihaya and really don't like Lucia. She has several of my least fav character traits in one, and is just a fun vampire in general. Shizuru calling out Lucia's bullying was a glorious moment. She was my fav even before this, that just solidified top spot. What a hero. Yeah the girls individual routes weren't as good as the true route, but I really liked the format. Linear story that branches off and stops earlier depending on your choices. More VNs should format themselves like that, rather than just a common route and 3+ branches all at the same time. It made sense too, because as you said the main plot pretty much revolved around Haru, and getting deeply involved with her was optional for the most part.

I don't have anything against pink in general, but I'll have to agree with angry Saber here. Cerulean or some other shade of light blue would be amazing. Think it would fit the site nicely.

In celebration of Australia Day, and touching upon that discussion from before, I present everyone with a helpful guide to our glorious nation.

I'm assuming he means movies, games and stuff. And if by weird he meant a complete joke, then he'd be right. For a long time we had 18+ for movies but not for games, even though 'Merica had it for both. That alone didn't make sense on multiple levels. Then when we finally got 18+ for video games, they still censored stuff.

Really it would be quicker to make a list of things that don't try and kill you in Australia.

True. Next person can dance.

Oh also Magpies will angrily swoop at you around September/October. Especially if you're on a bike.

Watch your back. We also have large spiders and other horrible things that will kill you.

I'm watching this now too. Adorable, likable characters and to top it all off some glorious Engrish. Mitcher and Sachi would be proud. Though of course here it's much, much more fluent. As far as airing anime is concerned, I'm watching Death Parade, Durarararararararara 2 and Kuroko 3. Also Log Horizon 2 and DB Kai 2014 from previous seasons.
