  1. Confession: I think I'm never entirely cured of love disease. Since I was 4 (when I entered school) I've fallen for the same girl of my class 3 or 4 times during all those years. There is also another girl of my class I've fallen for. And there was a random girl from a trip. I am not in love with any of them, but I think I can easily fall for any of 'em if I just keep thinking about them. This almost happened for a 5th time with the first girl, but then I just decided to take her out of my mind, and it worked, I didn't fall again. My point is, whatever girl I fall for, I never get over it completely, in a way that I have small crushes on those three simultaneously, that can easily become passion again. Is this normal? Like, I could never forget completely my osananajimi (since I was 4) that still studies with me... And I'm sure I can fall for her again and again as the others... Do you guys are like this too?
  2. I also don't like yuri. I think sismance is enough and doesn't need to be sexualized. Sismance and friendship are lot more platonic... But I like lolis, though I prefer flat/small chest grown girls. I don't like women above my age or too big chest.
  3. I don't understand why the cyberpunk universe if it doesn't mean much to the story. Wouldn't a slice-of-life be more adequate?
  4. I think you are missing something regarding books. Every medium has its own "addictions". Books are not an exception. Every medium learns from itself, in a way that its works are influenced by previous successful works. But this can also be a bad thing, limiting the "horizons" of that medium. For example, Twilight was a huge success and had a great impact. But now try to count how many vampire books are there, with overused elements to appeal to people. Many write books to "sell", looking firstly at what stuff people like, they aren't really worried with being original or leaving a different experience in the reader. Experienced VN bloggers criticize almost all VNs they see or read because they already know the addictions and fads of the genres. The same thing can be said about experienced book reviewers. The problem is that you don't read as many books as they do, and the ones you read probably correspond to the few kamiges in VN market. VN newbies can be more 'optimistic' or even 'idealistic' to VNs, because they read few and those few are the ones that are truly good, original or at least very popular. Don't delude yourself thinking books are that different, because they aren't. The only difference is that books aren't niche, so there are many more to choose from, including intellectual ones. Instead of having more broad addictions, there are more addictions within sections of literature. Every section has its own, though. I even remember a VN two bloggers wrote about. One was a galge player and the other was a otome gamer. The erogamer said the VN was generic and uninteresting, like most of that kind. Now the otome gamer loved the VN, he/she said he/she wished the otomeges were like that, sweet without rape or stuff like that. The last one didn't play many galges, so she/he wasn't aware of its addictions, but the first one was.
  5. In my case, yes. It was the execution of the plot and the forced drama.
  6. True. You didn't specify media, so: Bloodline (Netflix) is an awesome tv series, it really gets you hooked, and has some amazing acting. Go watch it. Next person likes sea food.
  7. Nah, mommy always takes me. Next person is a SAO fan.
  8. What's a SCP?
  9. starlessn1ght is because I'm a SAO fan (also Kiriasu hardcore shipper) and the chapter in Progressive that Kirito first meets Asuna is called "Aria in the Starless Night". I thought it was pretty cool, and then I put the last part in my username, then I thought, it's just too meh like this, let's put 1 instead of i. Then, my username was born.
  10. @Kaguya, I don't understand why did ya put LB! in the list if you didn't think it was great. I mean, I know you liked it but as you said in the other thread you didn't think it was great. And then you say this...
  11. Up to now the only thing interesting in Grisaia is Makina and Yumiko.
  12. I never liked something that I consider bad, and I can't understand why would I.
  13. Of course you can be objective. You enjoy something because the good points for you are enough to overshadow the flaws, and you don't enjoy something when you think there's too much flaws that can't be forgiven. You can't enjoy something you think it's bad, it's a contradiction. Let me quote LB! as an example. 1. Didn't like haruka's route because of the forced drama. Besides some serious plot issues. 2. Kud's route was average because it lacked focus and consistency. 3. Mio and kurugaya were good because they had good romantic scenes and the plot was well handled. 4. Komari's route was awesome because it didn't lack focus and had a pretty touching story, as well as memorable moments.
  14. if you liked it it wasn't bad. shouldn't be in this thread. as for the heroine routes, haruka was the only rly bad. kud was average. mio and kurugaya were very good. komari was awesome and rin was just kind of a build up, so...
  15. Uh... Just before suggesting something hateable, I must advise you: have you ever heard of literary hangover? This happens when you read some bad books, and then (even if you've already read great things) you lose the will to read books because you think that almost every other book you read will be bad. Be aware that the same can happen to VNs (it's already happened to me) So, one the community hates as I heard is HARUKOI OTOME
  16. Oh, there's Steins;Gate. Okabe is certainly insane, there is mystery too. Adventure is quite difficult. I don't recall ever seeing any "adventure" VN...
  17. No, I don't. Kotarou fights and has powers, Kotarou changes a lot in each route, Kotarou is apparently tormented by supernatural stuff and researches about it. Kotarou also deeply analyzes the world around him (which i like it very much). Is he insane in your opinion?
  18. Seems like it's going to be painful, but if there's real drama in the routes I'm okay with it.
  19. Rewrite has mystery, some nakige-like scenes, and a good protagonist (I dunno whatcha mean by insane, but...)
  20. Sushi. I've never eaten something else, though. I'd like to eat tayaki.
  21. Just started GnK. Michiru's first appearance. Two questions: Is the common route as long as IMHHW's? Does the common route have any plot or is it just pure slice-of-life?
  22. Eh? How can you know that? He didn't state anything that suggested that...
  23. She's a pedo! You should denounce her to the police! (Why didn't you yet?)
