  1. Carnival Phantasm is one of my favorite "light" anime series, lol
  2. Very happy with MG, really looking forward to next year Also, yuri sisters!!! (yes I'n sick, I can live with that)
  3. I don't know if I'm happy or sad that a HQ version doesn't exist. :/
  4. They've bit off far more than they can chew, if you draw up a list of all the projects they've aqquired and made public knowledge - they have so much they have to handle, I'm actually starting to feel skeptical they will be able to deliver. I admit I'm kinda curious about the Nekopara anime though I'm mainly curious to see what MG has to offer, they've been providing some interesting stuff the last couple years. EDIT: @Nosebleed Well, at the very least - a large source of the antagonistic behavior that was within SP should be gone now - so they might actually be able to keep damage control to a safe level.
  5. Nah, TD is just counting his chicks before they hatch I think things will work out for SP. ...or at least I hope they do - I still have a healthy chunk of money invested in past kickstarters with no payoff yet.
  6. Dracu-Riot I kid, I kid. (mostly) There are a few titles I'd like to see announced, but I honestly can't guess what they will showcase this time.
  7. The routes are pretty cringeworthy, but the gameplay itself is fairly engrossing (and the CGs are pretty decent). I poured a ton of hours into that game~
  8. If it's the same writer as EF, you can expect a intricate and emotional experience. Of course, I don't know the actual context of the story, so milage may vary. But i will say, EF is in my "top 5 VNs of all time". (NNL version anyway, not sure how much it differs from MGs)
  9. @bogdankl @Eclipsed This is for you both, on finishing up F/SN My favorite song in my life atm. (last episodes spoilers) Either of you have plans to go through Hollow/Ataxia? At the very least, I reccomend watching Carnival Phantasm - it's a great way to finish off the series.
  10. I'm still waiting for my two favorite fetishes - Sakura Sandwich, and Sakura Sisters
  11. So, just to throw my wrench into the mix, should we have all Japanese names changed to more familiar names? Tohsaka Rin should actually be called Mary Sue - Tokisakaas Reiji as John Doe? After all, the average non-Japanese reader will not be used to those styles of names - and will even confuse one character for another, from lack of familiarity. (I've actually seen people do that, when surfing around in Dangaronpa threads) Obviously I'm using an over-the-top example, but take the "anti literal" stance far enough, and that's what you will end up with. For my part, I prefer a more "accurate" translation, but I also want it to make sense and flow well - even if it means some re-invention when translated. It "is" o.k. for people to choose a moderate stance, you don't have to favor one extreme or another. EDIT: 'Read the mood" is fine - maybe not where you are, but it was something that would have been said/make sense where I live, even among teens. :fiteme: EDIT2: Literals, Reformists, and Moderates - we have the makings of a political system, ha~
  12. Only had time to glance over it for now, but my main take away: They fear getting in trouble with the law, for working on material that is considered illegal on their home turf. I mean, even if they cut out and censor it, if the subject matter is illegal there - aren't they in breach just through possession? Sounds to me like they are trying to cover their asses. But I have no experience or education when it comes to localizations - maybe companies are granted immunity to such import laws, on the basis the content is to be modified? The whole MIND dark-overlord is possible, but I question if they even monitor any one business under them that closely.
  13. I prefer OP protags over whiney manbitches Maybe it's my age showing, or my former normie status - but I just can't identify with the ignorant, low-confidence protags anymore. I need it to be a man that has his shit together at least abit - even better if he's not a complete douche to the people around him~ That being said, I've honestly forgotten what KSs' protag was like (been at least 3-4 years?), but I seem to remember getting pissed off at him more then once. But on the other hand, I remember being able to empathize with him for certain situations~
  14. @Eclipsed
  15. Haters gonna hate, Nemu is life. <3 wincest. Well, to be fair - neither Nemu or Sakuras' routes are very good - but they have decent feels, and are the best of a bad bunch. That, and there's that one scene where most of Nemu's dialogue gets bleeped out - I love that scene. DC2 is much better then DC1 overall - with exception to Kokoro's route - that one is just a exercise in frustration~
  16. LOL, that was pretty great You make some of my favorite posts, and completey out of the blue. We middle-agers gotta stick together~ Random tidbits: 1. I once reported your account when I swore to Suzu I thought you must have gotten hacked, due to that completely random status update a few months back - no hard feelings? 2. Also, if you look at your avater a certain way, it looks like a micro-bikini is on the dice (you're welcome, what has been seen cannot be unseen)
  17. Not to be contrary, but you are incorrect. Inside people made those exact allusions. On the old site, some members such as Koesti had made comments along those lines (around December '14)
  18. Grisaia series during the early days of the Kickstarter, at the very least. EDIT: initially listed meitetsu, but that's a big unknown atm and not really a valid example.
  19. Confession: I forgot to look at the time when i put my pizza in the oven
  20. Sounds like a good way to permanently dmg your tendons and muscles. I wouldnt risk it - esp. if you body isnt used to any serious exertion. be patient and start off slow.
  21. qft (man havent used that for a long time)
