  1. Nostaligia from my childhood gaming: Good stuff, I miss the style~
  2. Noticed you've been off the grid for awhile, hope everything is alright, and be sure to take care of yourself. :mare:

(don't mind me, this is my new way to vent without actually starting shit with people) :makina:

      XReaper

sounds like the next step humanity needs to take for keep on evolving into the right direction. amen.

  4. I'd like to say Jast, but their timetable leaves me questioning how serious they take the business - if it's a side project for them, or a fulltime thing~ MG is starting to show promise, I hold them in waaay higher esteem compared to what I used to think of them, in any event. So far the most professional appearing. (never met them live though, at a panel - I've heard mixed stories). SP...well, not to start a hate parade...I have/had hopes for them, but they still often behave like the Mirc clique they rose up from, and tend to mouth off and behave with a lack of professionalism, seen as antagonistic - not very appealing. Time will tell though, hoping it's just growing pains. I want to say MikandI, because I like their style - but that's still miles off, and heavily reliant on future sales (and how vested their interest is in continuing to pursue the market).
  5. I was gonna ask about that at first, but refrained because...yeah, I was a teen back when I read it - uncertain what I would think of it, given a second chance to go through it. I can still appreciate "the land" being a symbolism of his own body and mind though, and hanging onto what matters - "The power that preserves" indeed. Basically a fancy self-help series, but it was still enjoyable to discover the potential of the human spirit when I was growing up. Liked the army battles too, remember visualizing them to a far better extent then my mind can conjure nowadays, that's for sure.
  6. Read anything by Stephen R Donaldson? It's been years, but I remember really enjoying a series called "Mordants Need".
  7. Unless your volunteering to stand up against a C&D directed at you at some point in the future to validate your belief... Debating is all good and dandy, but thus far, it's been ignorant suppositions and doubtful feelings. It lacks any stable ground to stand on. There was a time I used to feel the same way about Fan TL "rights". But as it turns out, if the company that created the work notices, and wishes for the project to stop - the company has that right - they have sole proprietorship, end of story.
  8. Love that song - wonder how the Uploader has kept it up without it getting taken down - in the past I had serious issues keeping that online.
  9. Hopefully you will find something redeeming in it - I will admit, while I liked most of the characters in TB, I would say I never really felt very invested. With the exception of one certain character, (but that would be a spoiler. ) Needless to say, I found that character to be really well done, and conveyed a bond I was emotionally drawn into far more then anything else in TB. As for Comyu - I dunno, I couldn't forgive it for it's choice of storytelling, I felt like I was robbed of half the VN's setting - what with the completely random side-stories that consisted as the other two routes. I had esp. high hopes for one of those characters, whos' story turned out to be reallllllly weak. @Canicheslayer I really should try starting up KnS1 again - I stopped shortly after: Loved Cartagra though, was the first "dark" VN I had read in ages...last being...Muvluv I think? wow, 4 years...that really did leave a mark on me, huh? lol.
  10. That is seriously flawed advice. Ignorance is not a escape from possible laws.
  11. In some countries, there is a way to submit content for review to determine if it's considered legal - without any penalty or risk of reprisal. Though that could end up having the opposite intended effect, and instigate a ban on the product in question.
  12. I personally would not risk it. Obviously it depends on country, and how lax/harsh customs is - but if you are not 100% sure if it is safe, then it's not worth tempting fate. Despite what some have said above, there are times customs will do a thorough check of the package and its contents.
  13. Seemed like smooth enough transitions for me to follow along with. Tbh I disliked Comyu - I found it was trying way too hard to be dark and edgy for some routes - and completely nonsensical and silly in the others. That is my personal experience in regards to themes at odds with each other. Can't really offer any insight on how to appricette it, other then "just take it for what it is". Otherwise, you should really ask yourself if you are spending your time wisely, reading something you clearly have no interest in?
  14. Nice. It was kind of dull, but still engaging enough that I read it all the way through. Coco is a sweetie. Interested to see what this is about myself.
  15. I'm a huge fan, so my imput might be subjective - but F/SN is one of the few stories that I can discover new points of views, and symbolisms, with each replay. I only read it once a year, or every other year - but up to date, I've always managed to learn something new about the characters and their situations. (of course, it involves a lot of "reading between the lines" and thus purely subjective to my own thought process.) Might not come across as a satisfying end right now, but come back to it down the road, and you might see it from a different angle.
  16. Y-You won't trick me! I'm ok with being a unenlightened pleb
  17. I was able to figure out the big baddie, but from a different source - I'm a huge Shin Megami Tensei fan, and esp. my experiences with Nocturne stood out in my mind when reading through TB. Man, you really marathoned through that route I'm envious, for some reason I just wasn't very emotionally invested in her arc. :/
  18. As someone with sexual experience with a loving partner, I can testify (from subjective perspective) that certain Hscenes do contribute a sense of bonding, trust, and romance - above and beyond generic gratification. But beauty is in the eye of the beholder etc~
  19. Huge fan, I willfully ignore the views of naysayers. Kind of growing inpatient for the next chapter in the series, blew a lot of cash last year on the localization :T
  20. The most eerie implication with that ending:
