After many many hours of reading those terrible moon runes this will happen to you now seriously after reading a lot you will stop thinking 貴方 as anata but just what it is, also did you know that あなた also means darling (if a wife says it to her husband) btw knowing chinese is already a huge huuuuuuuge step for you since you already know the kanji, you just need to know what meanings they have in japanese (how to read them can come later since you can use a parser to know that while you read)

Petition to unbann Yandere Simulator from Twitch
Deep Blue replied to mitchhamilton's topic in Gaming Talk
I saw everything!! Here is what happened: First Mitch said "Wooow", then bigfat went "kapaauuhh", after that a lot of "KaBOOM" and "Kaplaaaaash", finally completely silence, at that point I was a little afraid of what might happen but then I heard a "glup glup glup" and everything was fine again. PS: voted, funny thing is that the sakura games are banned from twitch xD I didn't know that. -
Happy birthday AlexZandria, gone, but not forgotten.

Like any other VN it's a matter of taste and saying that it is bad or good is something very subjective, I can say subahibi is a piece of trash nonetheless users seems to love it and me saying that is trash doesn't invalidate their opinion or makes them change their mind about it, right? If you ever read it yourself you will come to your own conclusion. Why nobody translated it yet? Well, I can't really say, maybe someday someone is going to pick it up. There was an intent of translating it, a guy in the forum tried to gather some translators for a quite some time without any luck.

Are you saying that the title of the blog is misleading because it's too broad and it may cause confusion about its content, causing click baits? If so, then that was the point

You can use any software you want not just chiitrans, another parser like translator aggregator for example, this helps you to overlay anything you want in fullscreen mode which is something you can't do normally. Use your imagination

New Profile Fields [Accepting Suggestions]
Deep Blue replied to Nosebleed's topic in Community Coordination and Feedback
Add a japanese field with levels on it (basic, intermediate, high level, etc), it should be really helpful for the recommendation posts and many other things. -
Boring introduction to understand why I'm making this tutorial. (You can skip this if you want) So this tutorial is to create that so called "mechanical immersion" when you play a VN, kinda (?) Personally I read old VNs with the help of chiitrans for parsing the text, to being able to immerse myself into the story I need to read it in full-screen mode (I just can't read it otherwise) and this is not a problem when I read new novels that allow me to kinda cheat and use chiitrans even in full-screen mode but what about old VNs? With VNs that have resolutions of 640x480 or 800x600 you can't go full-screen and use chiitrans at the same time, the parser will either look really bad or it simply won't show. Now, to fix this issue I used to use a virtual machine called Oracle VM VirtualBox, that program allowed me to scale the screen at any size I wanted so I could play the VNs in "full-screen" mode and it kinda worked... but the problem is... using a virtual machine was a pain in the ass in general so I searched for an easier solution and here it is: (End of the boring introduction) What you will need: http://www.mediafire.com/file/ss3izesipa8ecca/res.rar (OnTopReplica, ResizeEnableRunner and maybe Windows on top) All the softwares are free and ad-free too but you can scan them if you want. Tutorial: 1) Download, unpack and install everything (some of them don't require any installation). 2) See if you can take a shortcut by using ResizeEnableRunner, this wont work most of the time and it will make some VNs look bad, but you can try if you want. Just resize the screen of the VN by clicking on the borders of the VN itself and while holding the left click drag it and expand it, just like you do with any other program. 3) If that method doesn't work (80% of the time) or you just don't like how it looks, then use OnTopReplica. a) Open the program and you will see this: Left click on it...trust me on this one. b) Select your VN and click in "-whole-" c) Once your VN is selected you will know because the program will duplicate the screen, now you can resize it but that's not what we want to do, we want to go full-screen mode. So go to: Resize > Full-screen. (you can also double click on the duplicated screen and it will do the same thing) d) Now this is the important part, you will need to advance the text of the VN with your keyboard but you can also use your mouse. Position the VN behind the duplicated window, then right click on the duplicated screen and click on "enable click-through", the duplicated screen will now be "transparent" so you can click through it. Here is how it looks and a comparison using the stretching mode (with ResizeEnableRunner) and using the duplicated screen. NOTE: The "resize enable runner" program uses the same method that Visual Novel Reader to stretch the visual novels. Problems you may encounter while using the software: *Some VNs will love to stay on top of the screen or they won't let you use, in my case chiitrans or the parser you normally use, for those cases use WindowsOnTop. Open it > assign a hotkey to it > and when have that issue just force the program to stay on top, this is how I solved it with some VNs, for example setsunai, or just old VNs. *Why I'm seeing black borders? It's annoying! Easy peasy Japanesey, now you can read your VNs full of runes and 象形文字 in full-screen mode for a perfect immersion. Btw, if you are wondering about the delay between the duplicated screen and the original, well there isn't any. (I'm sure there is probably some but it's imperceptible)

check your pm zalor, I'm explaining you why piracy is bad and how it hurts everyone in this business btw, if you really want to read the first "good" work from kataoka read White ~セツナサのカケラ~ not really that good but it's better than those fanfic he wrote about kanon and such.

Welcome to fuwa, if you want some good utsuge you should read Narcissu, swan song, untranslated I recommend bye, carnival and white breath all of these are very depressing but very good too and if you want something sad but not depressing you can read clannad, yume miru kusuri or ef - a fairy tale of the two. Enjoy your stay

Full Hearts (Katawa Shoujo 2) demo finally released
Deep Blue replied to Mugi's topic in Visual Novel Talk
If you say that, you live in a very small world, just because you didnt suffer anything worse than a migraine doesn't mean there isn't something more painful. About migraines I never said this wasnt a real thing but it needs to be treated carefully or it wont work, that's why I said it sounds like bs (hope im wrong) Btw, your point of liking something and not understanding it (if you are referring to me liking KS?) has nothing to do with pretty much anything. I'm not saying this isn't true (tell to a rape victim or an ex soldier that ptsd doesn't exist, ha) I'm saying that if it's not treated carefully it will turn out to be bs... because I know a lot of people saying that have ptsd when they do not have it and they say they do because they dont know what ptsd really is, that was my whole point. -

Full Hearts (Katawa Shoujo 2) demo finally released

Ok, I read a bit until the novel crashed. The music or should I say the only song that plays in the background... is bad...really bad and it keeps looping over and over. There are some jokes here and there, I don't know if they are intentional or not, like in the option menu having the language selection and one of them says "yellow" or when you read your father's letter and in the screen the letter is a death threat written in japanese It's full of errors, like some images are missing or something or maybe is just bad coding. The placement of the characters is weird or just bad. The scene transitions is bad, you are talking and suddenly is pitch black without saying "you walked outside" or something. The dialogues are interesting, but the introduction to the novel itself feels rushed and poorly done, maybe is not finished or you are not really starting from the beginning of the game, also there are some grammar mistakes, missing words here and there. The characters... some look good and some a bit bad, but I can get used to them. Overall it felt like it was made in a week, it needs a lot of work A LOT but I think it has potential sadly it will be compared to katawa shoujo and that's a big shoe they need to fill and right now they are really far away from achieving that, in my opinion it was a mistake to release the novel in this state even if it is a pre-alpha demo. -

same premise in vns? WHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAT? now seriously, you can count the vns that treat the issue of people with disability in a serious way without the use of any magical setting or heroines being angels, semi-gods, witches , or some random bs... with the fingers of one hand... and I think i'm being really generous. -
So I wanted to do a proper post about this and I gave up on that idea while I was writing it and then I was doing a blog and I also quit in the middle of it too, so here it is the lazy, bad and short version of both them. I wanted to give my thanks to a few people in the forum, very few, since i don't really talk a lot with many of you... actually I really dislike the idea of mentioning people in particular so screw that. So, happy new year everyone! 2016 was probably the worst year of my whole life, by far (no, not because of trump, fuck that! xD ). I'm hoping that 2017 can be at least a bit better... although 2016 did have a few good moments (I finally graduated from the university yaaay) and some funny moments too (that trump thread xD ) It really saddens me to see how many of you can't take a fucking joke anymore and you also feel the need to edit or censor them because of that, like the one that Tyr made that was full of awesome memes, references and jokes and yes even if you don't believe it he probably jokes around 80% of the time or is being sarcastic except when he is not.. which is around 99% of the time (I'm crossing your name out because i don't want to mention anyone) I didn't know that everyone was so easily triggered in this forum : ( when somebody can't take a joke and feels the need to shut the other person up because it feels aggrieved... it says a lot about how we are doing as individuals and also as a community, I noticed it not only on fuwa but on Twitter, Facebook, or any social media too, everyone seems to be at their edge all the time... come on take everything in a less serious manner! But please ignore all my rant, I don't want to start a fight I just wanted to point that out and nothing more. So yeah, happy new year! Best wishes to all of you, specially to all that people that don't like me.

Deep Blue replied to Funyarinpa's topic in Visual Novel Talk
You are wrong, kurisu calls Maho "Senpai" from the first time, she never calls her plain "Maho", now at some point they changed her name to senpai because they HAD TO (and they explain what senpai means) or else the story wouldn't make any sense but this doesn't make sense either way because why kurisu will change all of the sudden changing from using her name to Senpai in that specific part?Guess what? She wouldn't, a lot of serious stuff happened before and after and she never changed the senpai to her name. See, what you think it was a sensible thing to do it was just something that doesn't make any sense AT ALL and thus a cheap way to fix something for a bad translation decision. Honorifics are part of their language and culture, just as much as mayuri's way of talking (a childish japanese way of talking) and how they conjugate verbs depending on the person they are speaking to or the situation they are in. You cannot have one without the other, you cannot replace a San with a Ms/Mr, the same way you can't replace kun or chan or any other honorific... but wait ohh I see... they didnt replace those with anything, so for example how can you understand that katsumi acts in a really close way to the people around her using the so evil HONORIFICS, yes, you can't, because the translators decided for everyone that you shouldn't care for that and it seems that nobody actually cares as long as the translation looks like if was written by an english author but by doing so they striped the personality of the characters that makes them so unique, all of that is gone because of a bad decision to turn a JAPANESE vn into a weird English wanna be thing. If you want to read English novels then read something written by an English author, then again what you actually want is some butchered cross version of a Japanese written visual novel turned into some American version, the question is why would you be reading something in Japanese if you are so against its culture and everything that makes it so unique? In simple terms, you are asking for a hamburger but at the same time asking to take out the meat and add tofu to it
