Have you ever wanted to be able to stalk everyone in real life by just using your phone?

Ever felt like trash talking a person you hate in front of their boss?

Do you not give a single fuck about people's privacy?

Well fear not, because this new upcoming app, Peeple, is just what you need!

With Peeple, you'll be able to literally rate anyone you know online for everyone else to see on a scale of 1 to 5 stars.

And the best part is, you don't need their consent, and they can't delete their own page!

It's literally Yelp, but for human beings.

But what if you don't like what someone says about you? What if they claim in your page that you're a pedophile? Well too fucking bad, you'll just have to live with it for the rest of your life, better hope your boss doesn't find out about it.

The brilliant minds behind the app apparently got $50k from the USA government to develop this app, but they won't reveal what program funded them, and now their twitter is private (so I guess only OUR privacy doesn't matter).

Edward Snowden would be proud.

Better rant by someone else other than me:

This platform has two usages. Brown-nosing. Or Being an asshole.

Neither I consider good things. Seriously a piece of shit app.

10/10. Very good slut, would date again.

Guys guys guys, let's be fair for a moment.

How do I dispute a review of me?

When another user makes a negative comment about you (2 stars or less) the comment does not go live right away. It goes into your inbox on the app, you will be notified, and now you have 48 hours timer to work it out with the user. If you cannot turn a negative into a positive the comment will go live and then you can publicly defend yourself.

If somebody writes a negative review about you, you will have probably about a day to talk the matter out.

I think that's enough time to convince people that having sex with bears is okay for me.

If all you get is a text saying you got a profile and you can't really do anything with said text, people don't even need your real phone number to make a profile about you, meaning you could already be known as the next Adolf Hitler by the time you find out someone made you a profile on the app.

But I'm sure we're just being pessimistic and everyone will be nice to each other so nothing can go wrong.

You know, the best way to treat this app is to just pretend you never heard about it, don't talk about it, and thus hope that nobody around you will even use it.

Considering nowadays employers look at what you do on social media, I think this can potentially have some real negative impact in people's lives, even if you yourself aren't taking part in it in any way.

Sure you can deny any kind of involvement, but if your boss searches your name up and finds you on this app, and someone wrote about how you get wasted everyday and do drugs, I don't think that would sit too well with them, and you could actually suffer from it.

Of course one would expect employers to be smart enough not to trust such unfounded claims, but if they already use Facebook and Twitter to track you and profile you, I don't know if it's too farfetched to think they'd use this app as well.

I don't really want to live in a world where anybody can ruin my professional career at the press of a few buttons.
