PhleBuster Posted March 24, 2017 Posted March 24, 2017 (edited) Chuusotsu - 1st Graduation is getting a western release by Fruitbat Factory! We have a Prefundia page up for the upcoming Kickstarter project. It's a new all-ages visual novel by Studio Beast (NSFW link), the circle that made J.Q.V Jinrui Kyuusai-bu ~With Love from Isotope~. Chuusotsu is an HD wide-screen title and it's getting a dual language release (English and Japanese). This is our first Kickstarter project and we welcome all feedback with open arms! Here is some art from the game: More Art (spoilered for brevity): Spoiler Edited March 24, 2017 by PhleBuster noticed a typo Yuuko, SaintOfVoid, XReaper and 3 others 6 Quote
XReaper Posted March 24, 2017 Posted March 24, 2017 (edited) guess this was bound to happen, eh? did read it shortly before my mind collapsed and definitely had a blast whilst doing so, quite happy for others being able to experience the same somewhat soon-ish as well. from what i get the whole kickstarter thingy is to bring over an enhanced version (+goodies) of its, isn´t it? anyway hope it does well for you and possibly more to be brought over titles of theirs future-wise wouldn´t be bad either, especially a certain beautifully written jqv. edit: don´t you ever go mainstream, doujinshi are the industry´s real alpha & omega. edit2: just noticed that amoeba called malamasala commenting on the prefundia of yours. better not take his simpleminded whatsnot of an opinion as a measurement for the community as a whole, because that´s what it is. neither high res visuals/ famous voice acting, nor ero content which often feels out of place is what should matter most. if the writing is shit, everything is shit. simple as that. Decay Posted March 25, 2017 Posted March 25, 2017 (edited) It seems somewhat shallow on first blush, but the hints at deeper themes makes things a bit more interesting. I just hope they make good on that aspect and doesn't leave it at just hints. Good luck on the campaign. Edited March 25, 2017 by Decay PhleBuster 1 Quote
Dergonu Posted March 25, 2017 Posted March 25, 2017 Looks pretty nice, good luck on the campaign. Quote
Dreamysyu Posted March 25, 2017 Posted March 25, 2017 Huh. The art looks very generic, but everything else looks interesting on a first glance, so I'm looking forward for this title. PhleBuster 1 Quote

I would like to say the same thing, but Himawari broke me and I will no longer trust anything 'moe'. But I'm mildly interested in this, will wait for more non Moogy, non Conjueror and non Hader opinions. Quote

Vorathiel Posted March 25, 2017 Posted March 25, 2017 Well, scars of bad VNs runs deep. Probably will shut up about H, as I did with Sharin no Kuni, and later Grisaia, when I found a new 'great enemy'. CrossChannel seems to be one of the worst shits ever, so maybe I wil lstart babling about that. ;d Quote
littleshogun Posted March 25, 2017 Posted March 25, 2017 Looks like this VN was quite interesting (It's length was short though), considering that it's got 7.8 average score at VNDB although it's not say much though (One of the voters was moogy who gave another 8 again for this VN after Seabed). Neverthless, I'd quite intersted with this and good luck on the Kickstarter out there. PhleBuster 1 Quote
PhleBuster Posted April 1, 2017 Author Posted April 1, 2017 We've updated the campaign page with previews for the all-new poster and stick poster artworks being prepared by Studio Beast, give them a look! Quote
PhleBuster Posted April 9, 2017 Author Posted April 9, 2017 Updated the project page with more preview for physical goods, as well as the first stretch goals, which would add all-new event CGs to the game, naturally made by Studio Beast themselves. Quote
PhleBuster Posted April 19, 2017 Author Posted April 19, 2017 The Kickstarter campaign for Chuusotsu will launch on April 25! We've gotten a fair bit of good feedback and have been ironing out the details. And we'll keep doing that, so don't hesitate to still leave a comment if you have any! Dreamysyu and Kawasumi 2 Quote
Nier Posted April 23, 2017 Posted April 23, 2017 I have been wondering, is this a Shoujo-Ai title? Quote
Decay Posted April 23, 2017 Posted April 23, 2017 VNDB has a highly rated friendship tag and no romance tags, so it seems like this is a VN without any romance. Nier and PhleBuster 2 Quote
PhleBuster Posted April 25, 2017 Author Posted April 25, 2017 Thank you for checking out the project, much appreciated! The Kickstarter page has just gone live, and you can get some cool exclusive physical goods there that we'll only be able to produce via the Kickstarter (as well as a big discount on the game!) Quote
PhleBuster Posted April 28, 2017 Author Posted April 28, 2017 By extremely popular demand, we now have a limited physical Collector's Edition for Chuusotsu - 1st Graduation available in the campaign too! Nier and Yuuko 2 Quote
PhleBuster Posted May 10, 2017 Author Posted May 10, 2017 We just added a Thunderclap campaign for Chuusotsu, with a social stretch goal of 100 supporters! If the goal is met and the campaign's successfully funded, a new event CG will be added to the game free of charge! The best part is that you don't even need to be a backer to help make the game better - all you need to do is support the Thunderclap campaign, which will send a single message from your chosen social media account on May 27th. Quote
PhleBuster Posted May 21, 2017 Author Posted May 21, 2017 With funding at over 85% and us approaching the final week of the campaign, we updated the stretch goals (making the event CG rewards cheaper) and revealed the remaining stretch goals, including funding for an all-new side story Chuusotsu - 1.5th Graduation: The Moving Castle. We also already unlocked one free event CG from the Thunderclap campaign, and if we can get 70 more Supporters there in the next 6 days, a second CG will be added too. Quite a few of our backers have said they come from Fuwa, so... thank you all SaintOfVoid 1 Quote
PhleBuster Posted May 23, 2017 Author Posted May 23, 2017 We finally have a playable English language demo out for Chuusotsu! You can download it directly from this link. Obviously not a final build yet, but it should give a pretty good idea of the game already. Looking forward to your impressions! Dreamysyu 1 Quote
PhleBuster Posted May 27, 2017 Author Posted May 27, 2017 We are now funded! Thank you for the support. Trying to hit those stretch goals now with 3 days left in the campaign, for new event CGs and a new side story. Quote
PhleBuster Posted June 24, 2017 Author Posted June 24, 2017 Big news - the all-new Chuusotsu side story, Chuusotsu - 1.5th Graduation: The Moving Castle stretch goal has been funded as well thanks to BackerKit efforts! Many thanks for the support, and if you missed the campaign, you can still join via pre-orders from the link above. Quote
Dreamysyu Posted April 9, 2018 Posted April 9, 2018 So, apparently this is going to be out on April 24. https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/215814918/chuusotsu-1st-graduation-a-visual-novel-with-philo/posts/2157854 Plk_Lesiak 1 Quote
VirginSmasher Posted April 9, 2018 Posted April 9, 2018 Finally. Cannot wait to read this one since it's a doujinge and all. Quote
Plk_Lesiak Posted April 9, 2018 Posted April 9, 2018 This looks lovely... Fruitbat Factory is one of those companies that you can easily forget about, but from time to time they come up with something really sweet and they seem to localize stuff with a lot of care. Nice to have them around. :3 Dreamysyu and PhleBuster 2 Quote
