edit: Do you have a screenshot? Trend logs confirm that E17 did get trending but I'd love visual proof

Nope, I didn't take a screengrab but it certainly did trend, first in Japan and then worldwide (albeit not for long and near the bottom of the trends list).

I'm sure hordes of people played Ever 17 worldwide. You see, until recent times (I mark it 2012, when Katawa Shoujo was released, around that time Fuwa was founded, I think), visual novels in the West gained visibility on bursts. One such was Ever 17's translation.

Some of those people would go on to become VN fans (some of them here, I guess), and some just thought, "wow, what an awesome ADVENTURE game that was", and called it a day.

Still it's fair to say that the PC crowd is more educated than the console crowd.

Late to notice this (Because LeMU was already implode), but here's Lemnisca post in regard of Ever17 (Interview with both Uchikoshi and Nakazawa) and I'm sure it'll be interesting reading for any of Everq7 fan.
