Their relationship becomes sexual when Mitoko is in her third year of middle school on her path.  In fact, the primary conflict of her path involves that issue, lol.

if we follow this standard evrything should be banned except maybe some nukiges depicting only adult characters.

No, there's other stuff that has to happen before a game can be obscene.  (That's the Miller Test referenced later in my post.)  My point was that those disclaimers are of dubious legal value, and if some prosecutor did decide to go after an h-game (for whatever reason), the "they're all 18" disclaimer probably isn't going to be worth much in court.

The all 18+ disclaimer may in fact work since the characters themselves do not actually exist. There is also the fact that if more can be taken from the game beyond the porn nature (which many you easily can) then they also have a real chance of arguing the fact that it is in fact art. Art is the expression or application of human creative skill and imagination, typically in a visual form such as painting or sculpture (but may also include such works as literature, dance, film, games, music, etc...), producing works to be appreciated primarily for their beauty or emotional power. If the story itself can evoke an emotional response and can be appreciated for beauty over porn...which a large portion of the visual novel readers do tend to believe then really since they are already Adult Only games then they won't have an issue. You can also bet that these companies have thoroughly checked with legal representatives on the whole legality of the issue and would not have gone through with any of it if they believed it would get them in trouble with the law.

Regardless I'm curious who Frontwing is going to get to translate games for anything they reveal since a lot of the best translators seem as if they are working on other projects already.

Frontwing has their own in-house translation team, and they have basically translated everything that Frontwing has released themselves.
I believe they're decent at their jobs.

The team Frontwing debuted with is pretty good, even! That said, they have also been hiring some freelancers recently. I know of a few who have been. Maybe one of their games will be announced tonight? (I have no idea)

Also, FLOWERS -The volume of summer- (Winter 2017), JAST, come on!

Well, it'll be summer at Australia though (December 2017) if I may defend them lol. Anyway, it's good that if JAST managed to get release date ready I guess although I still expect some delay from them though.

They've already got a game with a character who's stated to be younger.

@Nandemonai what about maitetsu then? I don't know much about the game besides the characters looking really young, and that they're about trains or something. Would the adult scenes with those characters be considered obscene?

The scenes aren't considered individually, they're considered in relation to the work as a whole.  The game itself might, it might not.  I'm no lawyer, I just read up on this stuff because it interests me.  My point never was that these games are / aren't obscene.  The law is incredibly vague on this point anyway, it basically is applied on a case-by-case basis.  My point was that if it does go to court, the disclaimers won't really mean a whole lot.

So are all these games 2018 or later (looking at you Majikoi) or are any of these closer to coming out? At least any indication from the publishers.

Some of the MangaGamer stuff will probably be out this Fall/Winter. Damekoi is already 100% translated and edited.

Why german subtitle?
Also - that's completly other way around to what Dies Irae did, but.. why not? Seems reasonable.

Well, I'm satisfied that they cleared things up with Subahibi and Island. Sad about no new announcements, but at least we know there's 2 secret projects. One is apparently pretty similar to something announced last year at AX (I don't exactly know if that's correct. My stream cut out).

A scene in Subahibi is being cut due to legal fears.

MangaGamer is the only one with the galls to do anything right round 'ere.

And there are enough other games also at 100/100 that MangaGamer could easily run through the end of the year without releasing any of their AX announcements.  There's more Higurashi ready.  In beta testing, there's Golden Fantasia, If You Love Me Then Say So, and Kuroinu (pt 2).  In scripting are Bokuten, Fashioning Little Miss Lonesome, and Marina's Cuckolding Report.  Hadaka Shituji is also at 100/100. Near 100/100, but not quite there, is Imopara 2.

That's nine titles nearly done (Damekoi makes ten), but only five slots till the end of the year (July's is already known).  That'll last through till spring 2018 if they don't double up.  Even if they do, that's a lot of stuff, and MangaGamer doesn't double up too often.

Now, nothing says MG has to release games in the order they announced them.  In fact, the first Funbag Fantasy was released very shortly after it was announced.  But there are a LOT of games in MangaGamer's queue, and so it really depends what their priorities are.

I literally don't have anything over a lukewarm interest for any title announced this AX. Damekoi is the standout I guess judging by the elitist press, but for whatever reason I'm not all that interested. I guess everyone gets a participation award?

Best moment goes to front wing panel showing a clip from some j-drama called subarashiki hibi as a joke. That was funny w

Wow. Herkz was an editor on subahibi.

Whole thread:

I get why Herkz is salty and it does seem kinda bullshit how they wouldn't allow the old team to continue their work, but he's assuming that no effort is being expended to pick things up where the old team left off, despite having no actual knowledge of what FW is doing. What he's saying is possible, but it still seems like a rather shaky position from which to tell everyone not to buy the game. FW has a good track record for TL quality post-chiruchiru, so I suspect that they wouldn't want to release Subahibi in such a shoddy state.

Well, that's not what I'd expected from Frontwing announcements when I'd heard word 'plenty announcements' earlier, just like Kryt said in regard of JAST. Especially because I prefer them to had announced the secret projects directly instead of keeping it secret. Oh well.

Anyway, as for secret projects thing it could subjected to many speculation (Duh) but perhaps it could be Goo's new project seeing that Island was announced at last year AX. The only way to knew is that we must wait for months though, just as Frontwing promised there. As for Wonderful Everyday, finally we got the release date there which is good. As for the content that was cut, to tell the truth I prefer that they cut yaoi scene but no problem here (I'll just need to tolerate it I suppose). Oh, and actually the supposedly disturbing sex contents was quite low though, so it's not like that it matter much imo. Well, I'm going to look forward to August then.

PS - By the way, one of the chapter did had the title 'Sunflower' so I think it should be enough warning if you want to play Wonderful Everyday (Subahibi) there, @Vorathiel.

PPS - Well, herkz was what I called quite eccentric person just like Moogy so it might be best not to take him seriously imo. Although maybe he was still angry though that Frontwing released Chiru Chiru directly without his knowing (Probably).
