WorldofAI Posted August 11, 2018 Posted August 11, 2018 (edited) Last one #4: Beat Angel Escalayer R I was surprised that lots of people were hoping for Sakura Mori no Dreamers. Edited August 11, 2018 by WorldofAI It doesn't matter if it made the chart. Quote

Infernoplex Posted August 11, 2018 Posted August 11, 2018 (edited) So... No Sakura no Mori no Dreamers. Still, not bad announcements. I am really surprised about ChaubleSoft, though. I definitely didn't see that one coming (and how it came to be considering the situation around that other ChaubleSoft VN that MangaGamer has license for). Also... still no my elves. RIP Edited August 11, 2018 by Infernoplex Quote
littleshogun Posted August 11, 2018 Author Posted August 11, 2018 A good surprise is always welcomed lol, although it's understandable though if one wouldn't expected something from Chuuablesoft to be announced because of bankruptcy and all. Then again, if JAST can release Schatten in which it was from a bankrupt company, why not Mangagamer here? Although I'm curious though if it mean that Suki Suki release is come near, and if Mangagamer managed to get contact with the new holder for Chuuable soft or not. Quote

They said SukiSuki's issues were taken care of, so that's a "yes." adamstan 1 Quote

JAST took the license before the company went under. It just took them a while to get stuff in order and release it (I assume the reason it took them so long was because of Schatten's dev going under and then they had to sort shit with the new license holder... same thing MangaGamer probably had to do with SukuSuki). But when you grab a license from a bankrupt company, that already looks like something new. I don't remember something like that happening until now. Quote

Ranzo Posted August 11, 2018 Posted August 11, 2018 (edited) I guess some other things got mentioned as well so that is cool. Like an Otome game that is set in a mutha fuckin' college. Edited August 11, 2018 by Ranzo BookwormOtaku and Plk_Lesiak 2 Quote
Stormwolf Posted August 11, 2018 Posted August 11, 2018 Nothing interesting, not that i was surprised by that. 1 lesbo with likely good written story, but nothing about lesbian relationships interests me 2 otome 3 school sim #3256 4 another rape sim from alicesoft Mehh... Antera 1 Quote

ChaosRaven Posted August 11, 2018 Posted August 11, 2018 lol I knew that they wouldn't be able to resist the temptation to necro another title from the dead ChuableSoft. Amrilato seems to be an okay title for yuri fans and Horny Magical Princess a pretty crappy otome title. I'm interested in neither. Choukou Tenshi Escalayer is the remade predecessor of Beatblade Haruka which was a rather weak fetish nukige. I don't think I'll waste my time with that. Considering that they didn't even manage to get the minimum target Sakura no Mori Dreamers, that's overall pretty disappointing even for my already weak expectations. Well, only Rance fans seem to count for them nowadays, so I guess that was to be expected. Quote
Stormwolf Posted August 11, 2018 Posted August 11, 2018 But why would they start another chuuable title? I've assumed "if you love me then say so" has been dead in the water for some time now. How long has that status been tje same? Quote

Nier Posted August 11, 2018 Posted August 11, 2018 (edited) I would be interested in the Chuablesoft game (Farther than the Blue Sky) and The Expression Amrilato (even though I am not really interested in the genre, it looks like it could be interesting enough). Edited August 11, 2018 by Nier Quote
Kaito1 Posted August 11, 2018 Posted August 11, 2018 (edited) I'm really happy they're localizing "Fxxx Me Royally! - Horny Magical Princess." I've always wanted to play this game ever since it was released in Japan. Edited August 11, 2018 by Kaito1 Mr Poltroon, BookwormOtaku and Silvz 3 Quote

Funyarinpa Posted August 11, 2018 Posted August 11, 2018 Nothing that interests me, lmao. Any update on Higurashi? Quote
Formlose Gestalt Posted August 11, 2018 Posted August 11, 2018 Too bad nothing that really interests me. But it is a bit sad that Mangagamer didn't announce single title that is interesting to me this year. I guess conjueror's prophecy that will some time after the weak initial sales of Tokyo Babel for the effects to be visible, is becoming true. Oh well maybe next year. Quote

Dreamysyu Posted August 11, 2018 Posted August 11, 2018 Yeah, the announcements seem to be more on the disappointing side. I'm not exactly sure what to expect of The Expression Amrilato and Ano Harewataru Sora yori Takaku, but from the first impression, they don't seem particularly interesting. Overall, looking through Mangagamer's announcements from this year so far, the only VN I'm really interested in is Steam Prison. Quote
