Stray Cat Posted September 9, 2014 Posted September 9, 2014 Huh. Okay then, thanks. I wasn't exactly sure what the benefits of beating it again were. By the way...what vein of Personas would you recommend that I give my protag? I'm not really quite sure what to have him mainly be. I'm currently grinding to level a Sandman for no good reason. Quote
solidbatman Posted September 10, 2014 Author Posted September 10, 2014 TIL I suddenly suck at Persona 4 Golden. Died at the same boss 4 times now despite obliterating every boss in the game before. Guess I need to go get some reflect magic shit, because his Quad Converge is upping his Magic to insane levels. I'm getting one hit KO Quote

solidbatman Posted September 10, 2014 Author Posted September 10, 2014 Trumpeter is amazing for this and everything else to come. I just used buffing and de-buffing constantly to balance for it. Quote
hydro Posted September 10, 2014 Posted September 10, 2014 Been playing Tales of Xillia 2 for a while now. This game in really fun. Easily prefer it to Xillia 1, and it would come pretty close to my fav Tales game ever. It's amazing a broken piece of shit like Fifa 14 can have a metascore of 86, while Xillia 2 is rated 72. The user scores illustrate the situation better, 8.7 for Xillia 2 and 4.1 for Fifa 14. neromercer and BookwormOtaku 2 Quote
Narcosis Posted September 10, 2014 Posted September 10, 2014 I've been playing Survarium for the past few days; one of the reasons I became preety much non-existent on the net as well. Since I've always been a huge fan of Stalker series, this game is basically a dream come true, especially considering the content they're planning to add soon. So far, Survarium is highly playable even despite being an early beta and graphics look incredible, especially if you own a powerful PC and can set preety much everything to maximum. Quote

Stray Cat Posted September 10, 2014 Posted September 10, 2014 I really don't remember the part of the game I'm in at all when it comes to what the bosses do, so that might be playing a role now since I'm not as prepared as I was for earlier boss fights. Quote
Flutterz Posted September 10, 2014 Posted September 10, 2014 I've been getting back into Diablo 3 on my Disintegration wizard. I've gotten some really useful drops in these past few days such as my RoRG and a bottomless potion, and am now grinding greater rifts for gem levels and legendaries. Quote
BookwormOtaku Posted September 10, 2014 Posted September 10, 2014 Finished the first half of Senran Kagura, that story mode had an okay ending even if the final boss came from out of nowhere So the Hebijo girls are basically members of the Orochi clan? Then again I can kind of see Hikage as Ryuji Yamazaki's long lost sister Gonna take a break and play at least some of Phoenix Wright: Dual Destinies before playing the Hebijo side so I don't burn myself out on the game Quote
LiquidShu Posted September 11, 2014 Posted September 11, 2014 Has anyone played Destiny or Arche Age yet? Quote

LiquidShu Posted September 11, 2014 Posted September 11, 2014 I played the beta. Really itching to buy the full game, but I've got so many projects that will end up being more neglected than they already are. Are you looking for thoughts on it or something? Quote
nohman Posted September 11, 2014 Posted September 11, 2014 More or less, there aren't any "official" reviews from any big sites yet so I'm on the fence. Especially since I don't have anyone on PS4 to play with at the moment. Quote
Kenshin_sama Posted September 12, 2014 Posted September 12, 2014 I'm at level 26 on Elsword now. Actually liking this game more than I thought I would. And while it does put a little more emphasis on paying for stuff than I'd prefer, it's still not as obnoxious as other f2p games. It's ridiculously easy to play in some regards, yet some things are still fairly challenging. I still can't get a firm handle on building combos for the life of me, and it pretty much gets my ass kicked in pvp, but the combat is fun. The dungeons are more performance-oriented than they're challenging, which is a very welcoming change to me. Interface is kinda sloppy, but it's not particularly difficult to get use to. I'm not that interested in the story either, so I'll be skipping most of the dialogue. Quote
BladeRunner Posted September 12, 2014 Posted September 12, 2014 Just recently purchased Azure Striker Gunvolt and I've been playing that. Being a big fan of the metroidvania Castlevania games I hadn't played a 2D sprite game in a while, so I decided to purchase it. The game is fun to play but hard to master and one boss in particular is giving me a lot of trouble. Its been a while since I raged so much at a game. Other than that, I also just started Final Fantasy 8 a couple of days ago. Seeing as the 15th anniversary passed by a few days ago I decided to try and finally beat one of the games I played during my childhood. Already gotten past a part that I remember being a pain in the ass when I was a kid. Surprisingly, it wasn't as difficult as I remember it being. Quote
nohman Posted September 12, 2014 Posted September 12, 2014 I've been getting back into Fire Emblem Awakening in my fee time between classes this week. I don't know why I put it down in the first place. Quote
FruitsPunchSamurai Posted September 12, 2014 Posted September 12, 2014 Just finished tos Dawn of the New world at a total of nearly 31 hours. Time to give it a rest for now. I'll attempt a platinum some other time. Quote
Flutterz Posted September 12, 2014 Posted September 12, 2014 Well, I'm re-installing Diablo II. I didn't know it couldn't run on Windows 7 without putting compatibility settings on, so I rage-uninstalled. Also spent a good 20 minutes trying to get back into my battle.net account. Nothing is as annoying as finding out that you used a forgotten email address to register. Also downloading Hearthstone. Anyone got any opinions on it? I only played a few of the first missions against the AI, and I can see its appeal but it's not my thing. Quote
Mr Poltroon Posted September 12, 2014 Posted September 12, 2014 Also downloading Hearthstone. Anyone got any opinions on it? I think it's probably an amazing game with a lot of possibilities. You can try to pull off awesome or funny stunts, or you can try to play competitively. Personally I suck really hard. I've probably got about 5 hours on it thus far, and while I do like it, I sincerely lack the brains (and luck) to win much at it. Practice makes perfect, though, or so I've been told. Quote
SilverLi Posted September 12, 2014 Posted September 12, 2014 Bought Planetarian on Steam, because why not? Support the community! Otherwise I am pretty stuck in the swamp "I want to play but I don't know what". But it will pass someday. Quote
nohman Posted September 12, 2014 Posted September 12, 2014 Never played a TCG besides MTG before, and I've never played a digital TCG. Is it similar in any way, or am I gonna have to learn how to play from scratch? It's a fairly simple game that's easy to get into. I suspect you'll pick it up quick. As opposed to having to draw into the resources (land) you need like in MTG, in Hearthstone you get 1 mana crystal every turn. Add nohman#1217 if you ever want to play. I took a couple month break, but I'm just now getting back into it. Quote
BookwormOtaku Posted September 12, 2014 Posted September 12, 2014 I think I'm nearly done with the second chapter of Dual Destinies and while I'm liking it so far there were points where it seemed too ridiculous even for the Phoenix Wright series, namely... whose bright idea was it to let a convicted killer into the courtroom armed?! I don't care if he is some ultra special prosecutor, that's still mind numbingly ridiculous. And if there's some twist in a later chapter that reveals he didn't do it, that still doesn't fly as who would know that?If it's because the system's become corrupted then that's a pretty flimsy at best reason. BookwormOtaku Posted September 13, 2014 Posted September 13, 2014 Very light spoiler, the reason as to why he was allowed out. Does "The Chief Prosecutor ordered for him to be released and prosecute", serve as a good reason? It's not why he was allowed out, it's why did they let him keep his sword? Quote
