I usually use my break time at work to play short VNs I can finish in a few weeks, usually between 5-10 hours but I'm running out of one's I had planned to play and dunno what to get next. English translated, preferably on Steam as I use my steam deck and as the title says, SFW as I play them at work. Thanks in advance for any suggestions.

I don't know about short ones, but Baldr Sky's steam version is all-ages and Tokyo Babel is as well.  The downside is that they are both fairly long VNs.

Steam (this really restricts what can be recced unfortunately):

https://vndb.org/v32333 (very heavy content tho)

https://vndb.org/v29885

https://vndb.org/v22061

https://vndb.org/v9680   (has a section where you need to type a bit, might not be ideal)

https://vndb.org/v31212

https://vndb.org/v19014

https://vndb.org/v7184 (if split into episodes)

Not steam (if you can make it work; probably possible, see guide on forums or the website that guide links to as an updated version)

https://vndb.org/v103

https://vndb.org/v21745

https://vndb.org/v1296

https://vndb.org/v38510

https://vndb.org/v1371

https://vndb.org/v23745 (probably including both chapters makes it longer than 10h for some readers, but you can read one after the other sop not a huge problem)

More well-known ones in case you skipped them

planetarian ~Chiisana Hoshi no Yume~

narcissu

fault - milestone one (and the rest of the series: 1 2 3)

Less-known ones (excluding the ones already mentioned by Zaka):

Chuusotsu! 1st Graduation ~Chuusotsu no Time After Time~

Ame no Marginal

DEAD END JUNCTION (not particularly good, but fun)

But You Seem Fine (on Android. Good enough for a short read)

2ECONDS TO STΔRLIVHT: My Heart's Reflection (nice LGBT representation)

Thanks for the recommendations. I've played a few of em, and am actually plying through Chuusotsu right now, but a good few I haven't played through, so should be a few weeks or months worth of break time there. Non-Steam games aren't overly hard to install on my steam deck so I can play em it's just kind of a pain.
