Good for Visual Arts they want to localize Kanon regardless on how I'll call it as redundant anyway, seeing we already have the translation patch from way back in 2009. They also put some effort to resize the CG to 1280x720, so again good for them. That said, at this point the only KEY related news that I want to see is if Anemoi can see English release, and also Lunaria Steam release.

As for sex scenes, honestly just play fan translation if someone is very desperate for it. That said, it's very understandable people didn't consider Kanon sex scenes are good, especially when there's a patch to remove the sex scenes even back then, which mean there are people who prefer to play old version without the sex scenes. But if some find the sex scenes in Kanon are very arousing, well good for them.

Kanon is one of the rare cases where I think it's better to go with the (second) anime. The VN is just very dated now.

I already read the fan-TL (while disabling the horrible h scenes) and have japanese Memorial Edition in a box, but I look forward to this Steam release.

Having it officially released in HD, with voices and multi language support is great.

(It seems that it's goint to be a port of 2023 Switch version)

Visual Arts decided to just suddenly released Kanon on Steam on yesterday, so feel free get the VN from Steam if you want it and yet somehow still not playing with the fan translation patch and have fun.

PS - While the release is obviously redundant, at least I can guarantee there won't be any change in the name like Ace Attorney Investigation 2.

1- Kanon is a classic, so hopefully I'll get the Steam version this Winter Sale to play it roughly 10 years after I found about it, watched the anime and played the game. Key/Visual Arts also deserves my money for the entertainment provided.

2- Kanon H scenes are very bad. Not ONE levels of crazy bad (Nagamori) but at the very least insipid and badly executed. Not a problem for me that it's turned all ages.

3- Kanon anime from KyoAni is magic. Sadly here in Poorope I only have access to Clannad in Bluray. Which I'm planning to get this Christmas.
