Sparteh Posted August 29 Posted August 29 It has been years, but I am getting close to 250 read novel mark. I would like to receive a recommendation for my 250th VN. I don't have any particular idea what I want. I just want a memorable story (in a good way). Any suggestions? Quote
Clephas Posted August 29 Posted August 29 Since you haven't played it yet, Fuukan no Grasesta by Eushully. It is easily the most memorable Eushully game made in the last ten years, with the best story. Quote
LostPomegranate Posted August 29 Posted August 29 (edited) Gin'iro, Haruka (Slice of Life) or Aokana (Sports / Moege) are two safe recommendations with really high average ratings. Edited August 29 by LostPomegranate Quote

I tried their stuff because I had easy access to a few of their VNs, but didn't really like them. Aokana is one of the options. If I find nothing better, I will most likely go with it. The best way I could try to summarize what I want now is something on the more serious side and story heavy. Clephas Posted August 30 Posted August 30 The last five years or so has been mostly devoid of superior VNs, so I honestly don't have much to suggest. Since you haven't played it yet: Komorebi no Nostalgica Komorebi no Nostalgica easily makes it to the top of my sci-fi list, though it has very little action. The story and presentation is awesome. It might be a little too SOL for your tastes at times, but to my mind it makes up for it for presenting an interesting 'after' picture of a post Human-AI war. Quote
Nemesis Posted September 4 Posted September 4 I see that you haven't played Cross Channel, so it's a good time to fix that. Black Sheep Town, Nukitashi, and Henpri are also good options if you want something more recent. Quote
littleshogun Posted September 12 Posted September 12 (edited) Well maybe something nice from the most recent title, such as Unravel Trigger or Kyokkou no Marriage, or perhaps the most recently translated Tsui no Sora Remake. I can't make guarantee that you'll absolutely like those though, although if you manage to like it then good for you. Regardless, I hope my recommendations will be helpful to you. Sparteh Posted October 6 Author Posted October 6 I have managed to reduce my choices to these: Kimi to Kanojo to Kanojo, A Sky Full Of Stars, and AstralAir no Shiroki Towa. Now just not sure which to pick Quote
Clephas Posted October 8 Posted October 8 AstralAir then. Favorite is pretty consistent. A Sky Full of Stars, for better or worse, is pretty meh in my eyes, from what little I remember. Quote
LostPomegranate Posted October 8 Posted October 8 (edited) AstralAir then. Sky Full of Stars is good, but is really hit or miss with people, and I doubt you want to be a "miss" on a milestone you care about. Kimi to Kanojo to Kanojo is also hit/miss to a lesser extent.
