I went there a few times, since a few friends of mine regularly went on there...never going back there ever again. Not even if someone paid me to. I haven't dealt with a DDoS attack since one of the biggest ones ever in the history of LoL. Hope that's not it, and that it's just server problems. At least server problems can be fixed. I don't think it was 4chan they would have been a lot more vocal about it, as I said I spend time in both /jp/ and the /vn/ threads and while fuwanovel gets lots of hate for various reasons I havent seen anyone talking about bringing it down, so its more than likely it was just a cloudflare thing. I was just giving out a possibility if nothing else.

While the language barrier makes it pretty difficult to enjoy something like a VN in a foreign language, porn comics are an entirely different matter. The "it's licensed in English now, time to support the creators" argument doesn't work as well there. It just ends up seeming like self-serving hypocrisy.

If you read the whole story, Fakku only sent requests that the physical material they're publishing doesn't get hosted on several sites like exhentai. Simple request. Which is pretty normal. Slowloris is a type of DDOS that aim to create ghost process to flood the server resource as much as possible, causing it to lock up, and eventually crash. The attack, since then, has been fully mitigated. Going forward we hope have the uptime of previous and are working hard to keep everything up and online in the future

I get that it is disliked by some people, but it is pretty stupid to attack a site just because you don't like. I know that unfortunately it's a normal occurrence nowadays but it still blows my mind how close minded and stupid people can be.

Any place on the internet, which gathers tremendous ammounts of people tied with similiar interests has the exact same qualities. 4ch is just like that - it offers space for people to talk freely about anything and uncontrolled freedom is as dangerous as complete lack of it. Therefore, you can't be even surprised some people might find it funny to DDoS some sites (DDoS attacks are easy to perpetrate) just to brag around.

Backing my original statement, I agree with everything you said but the lack of power, even if it's just a bunch of anarchy loving kids and whatnot through their sheer numbers you can't say that their power is 0.
