There is someone on these forums that does so much for us. We owe everything we have to him. His constant appearances her cheer us up, and lead us to the light. Without this person, we wouldn't be here today. That person is Tay. But lets talk about Ren today. What is there to say about Ren. He's handsome, dashing, and has wonderful lovely locks of blonde hair. Or he is bald. No one is sure. No one has actually seen him before. Like Bigfoot, he keeps to himself and only shows himself to those who own a dog suit and a fistful of cash (I'm implying he dresses in a dog suit for sexual pleasure). Source tell solidbatman that Ren is in fact a homophobe, but solidbatman can confirm these reports as false. Ren is anything but. In fact, he could be described as a a homolover. Just today, sources were told that solidbatman makes his "dick rock hard." These reports could not be independently verified though but match reports from witnesses. OriginalRen has been observed performing an activity called "streaming". These "streams" as they are called, often draw in a whole handful of viewers. The viewers are often just Ren's other computers (he runs a Mac btw). A source was quoted as saying, "His dungeon, I mean basement, is filled with 3 computers, all of which are Apple II PC's and can barely run Oregon Trail. These streams are done to raise awareness for various TL projects for visual novels. Sadly, nobody cares and nobody seems to get off on reporting these streams and youtube channels to copyright holders. The author of this report believes this is done for "shits and giggles". OriginalRen has not yet responded to a request for comment on this developing situation, but his response can be assumed by this quote. "I need some players, who wants to join." As one can tell, he lacks the friends needed to navigate the cruel cruel world of VN streaming. The author of this report notes that solidbatman never had issue streaming and was beloved by many for his high quality, very frequent 10/10 streams. These streams stand in stark contrast to OriginalRen's highly original streams that merely make so called "memes" and cause much butthurt to the dickbutts of Fuwaverse. Now that we understand OriginalRen's current self, let us look at his past. OriginalRen was born at a young age to a single Canadian mother. He never met his father, leading some to believe he was actually the creation of a scientist in a Canadian Moose Factory. This explains the random moose-likes moans that come from his mouth when someone disagrees with him to a violent manner. Growing up, Ren had many friends who bullied him. They were less friends and more of bullies than anything. These bullies, American school girls, often stole his lunch money forcing Ren to drink maple syrup everyday for lunch. Ren felt slighted, but was restrained by the thought that these girls were at least happy. This gave him strength to move forward, and continue letting those American school girls steal his lunch money. When Ren entered high school, he met that special someone. She was blind, deaf, mute, and had no hair thanks to the Tim Horton's Explosion of 1956. She pitied Ren, and asked him out using sign language. Ren thought she too was trying to steal his money, so he hid. Unable to find him, the girl gave up. Ren was traumatized by the goblin looking girl taking pity on him. From that day forward, he resolved himself to become a stronger man. One day, he joined a forum and met solidbatman. solidbatman took Ren under his cowl and taught him how to be a man. Ren emerged confident, and with a new voice. A voice for sex. All the fangirls instantly fell in love with him. So Ren did what he could. He streamed. Regardless of what you think of the quality, one has to concede that the voice is in fact, sexy. After a run in with the Fuwa Dictatorship of the time, Ren went underground and led a resistance movement that eventually toppled the old regime and propped up a council that led policy making. This was not without pain and suffering. Ren underwent yet another transformation. He began to think his role was over. But then, a schism took place in a common gathering ground. This led to the creation of a free plaza, filled with the misfits of Fuwanovel. Data Sex often took place, but then along came the King of Sandstorm, Scottsune Miku. Leading the charge for vocaloid pizza apps, Scottsune brought peace and prosperity to the citizens of the Ren Data Sex Plaza. The citizens looked up to Scottsune. This peace was not to last. A butthurt troll took it upon himself to ruin the fun for everyone. This faggot was shown mercy by Ren though, and Ren's popularity soared higher than the Eiffel Tower, which we all aspire to be. Ren looks down upon us with love and care, slowly massaging our tired and weary feet with his strong, yet soft hands. One source tells me, "10/10 would be massaged again." Another source said this to the author, "We have to make a deck of Rens". The author is unsure of what this means, but it sounds lovely. Ren died recently, in 1321 fighting off a Mongolian invasion. While he may no longer be with us, he graces us by remaining in our hearts, minds, and souls. And also dicks around the world. For that reason, a little bit of Ren is inside all of us. Sigh... It's a matter of taste, really. *shrugs* Honestly, the term of "originality" gets thrown around so much that it loses its significance nowadays. Just because it's a generic archetype, it doesn't mean that it isn't an entertaining archetype. That said, the entertaining part is subjective to each person's taste and perspective. Personally, Komari is my favorite heroine, so. *shrugs* I thought her innocence and fluffiness were quite adorable. I'm pretty sure Japanese people like this kind of stuff a lot more than Americans too, so it might just be a cultural clash thing for more people around here to not like this kind of thing.

So I just started playing this game ^^ Ar Nosurge: Ode to an Unborn Star I found out this game is actually a sequel. The first game is Ciel Nosurge that never got released in english (and probably won't ever, since it's more VN play-style it seems). If you're playing this game, I suggest you read the translated summary of the prequel here (by blackraen). There is a shorter version here (by knightless). It gives more background about the characters, and the story leading up to that point. It definitely gave me a better understanding of the background and made me more attached to the current characters to enjoy the game more ^^ so I'm really glad they made these summaries for us! I really recommend you read the summary of the first game if you're planning to play this. Edit: So I just totally finished reading the Ciel Nosurge summary, and wow that was amazing! You definitely Need to read it if you play Ar Nosurge for a better understanding of the story & characters. Everything will make more sense when starting Ar Nosurge for the first time. Even though it can be long to read, it will definitely be worth it to help you enjoy the game more.

playing clannad just finished kyo route very nice vn

Yeah Rance isn't for the sensitive type or those who have been traumatized. It's like playing a as a frat boy from an American College in a game. Very off putting But Rance grew on me the more I played him. I hated Sengoku Rance when I first started and Rance was the main reason I held off for 2 months. The gameplay is addicting, and the story can be cute. I love all the female characters (Sill, Kenshi, Tomato girl, etc.), practically a over a hundred of them. I found Rance 2 remake playable just because it had the same humor and updated Graphics. Gameplay isn't all that great and its just a time sink to make a short game longer. They're easily avoidable and don't take much time to beat. The boss battles can be somewhat fun though.

Yep. That's the main reason I love her. The adorable-ness was a plus, but it's her kind heart that attracts me. By the way, how is Kudryavka an archetype though? I thought her bullied foreign exchange student character was quite unique... well, at least uncommon. It's not as common as Saigusa's noisy girl archetype for sure.

Yeah, you're definitely right. I think I was a little too negative above, because I think all the characters are fun (even Komari). Besides Rin, I do like Saigusa and Kud is pretty cute. Kurugaya is interesting, as well. Now I feel horrible. I will say that I love love LOVE Komari's "Spiral Of Happiness" philosophy. Honestly, I really think it might just be her voice that irritates me. I think if I were just reading her lines myself that I would like her a lot better. I know I can turn her voice off, but...... eh. I think I'll just try to adjust.

I had to look that one up, but to answer your question Senran Kagura is from what I've played an enjoyable beat 'em up style game with what's been a decent story so far. Each girl has their own unique fighting style and it's fun to figure out how to make max combos and how quickly you can beat your enemies. The game does have its flaws though as the side missions can get repetitive if you want to either clear each level with everyone or level grind plus in later parts of the game (at least with the Hanzo story) you have to deal with perhaps the most difficult enemy this game could possibly offer...an unstable camera effect. Couldn't find any connection between SK and the game you mentioned; you sure you're not mixing it up with Izuna, a ninja rogue-like RPG which does connect with it?

I have conducted my own independent stalking research and I can confirm that everything in Batman's post is 100% accurate.

I randomly decided to check up on Fuwa while taking a study break, and I'm glad to see that the Symphonic Rain thread is still active. Anyway, I still haven't read Phorni's route (and probably won't get to it until the semester ends), but I still don't see how Fal is a bad person. I feel like this is just going to be a repeat of the discussion we had over a month ago on page 3 of this thread, but being manipulative is human. I am currently reading Jane Austin's Pride and Prejudice for school, and that book is about how it was culturally expected to marry for money. Committing yourself to a person for the rest of your life based on economic incentives may seem manipulative, but it wasn't in the 18th century, nor was it for most of history. Marrying for love is fairly new concept that has only really been going on for the past 200, maybe 300 years. My point is that while Fal did initially start a relationship with Chris out of self interest, what is wrong with that? What's more, I think she genuinely does love him by the end of the story. As for the argument that she is monster I'm sorry if I came across as a bit of an asshole in my defending Fal, but when somebody tells me I do take slight offense. I suppose one of the reason's I like Fal so much is because I myself am not much of a romantic. I can like somebody, but if I were to marry somebody I too would do so at least partially out of an economic or social incentive, not purely out of an emotion. If I were Chris I would pick Fal and that is why she is my personal favorite. That said, as a character Torta is the most interesting for analyzing. So personally I like Fal the most, but as a literary critic I like Torta the best. Edit: Somebody should vote for Ms. Cordell lol.
