    Fuwanovel Lore

This is a quick guide to get people familiarized with Fuwanovel's mythos. It's very important to know as this is deeply tied with how Fuwans spend their daily lives and you wouldn't want to make a mistake to anger them. After reading this, I am confident you will understand how Fuwanovel works from the inside out. Deities and other notorious figures Scottsune Miku Scott is our lord and savior. He offers us Domino's pizza and lets us have fun with Hatsune Miku. Every person on Fuwanovel needs to at least pay him proper respect and thank him for the life they've been given. He has done many feats in the past such as become the person with the most posts, most profile views, most warning points and most swag. He truly is the definition of a God. Praise Scott OriginalRun #UnbanRun Run was once banned and forever he shall not be unbanned. So the laws of physics dictate. Pleading for Run to be unbanned is a natural occurence, but it shall go unheard for eternity. Azusa Azusa is the best grill, she descended from the heavens to save the anime industry and we shall praise her for it. She is also the most efficient weapon in dealing with TheMajor. Asuna Although the pronounciation is similar, you mustn't mistake Asuna for Azusa, it is a grave offense. Asuna is the worst grill. Some say she is a direct relative to Satan, I wouldn't be surprised. You may bash Asuna anytime you'd like. Cloudfare Whenever Fuwanovel stops working, it's cloudfare's fault. No exceptions. Pulltop Notoriously known for destroying OriginalRun's youtube account, Pulltop runs a Yakuza gang that scouts out youtube videos and sends them DMCAs. They are a very dangerous entity and should not be messed with. Some say it was because of the Pulltop Yakuza that Fuwanovel had to take down all their torrents. They often attract people with cute moege. Beware, this is only a trap to lure you in and get DMCA strikes. Approach with caution. Moenovel The company responsible for the atrocity of a translation that is If My Heart Had Wings. Everything wrong in the Visual Novel industry can be compared to Moenovel. Moenovel shall always be used when complaining about game translations, in any discussion ever. Other Important Objects of Worship Milky Holmes Milky Holmes is the greatest anime of all time. This is ditacted by our lord Scott and mustn't be defied. The only thing better than Milky Holmes is more Milky Holmes Bananas Bananas are Fuwanovel's official fruit. Please eat bananas regularly to stay healthy. Pancakes There is a weapon for every villain. If you ever encounter a subject by the name of solidbatman, know your weapon of choice should always be pancakes. Pancakes became notorious for fending off against solidbatman after he was subject to torture with pancake overload when streaming Little Busters for over 24 hours. They usually prove quite effective. When used, pancakes often cause salt to be created Salt Most fuwans produce salt, especially when angered. You can often see salt dripping from threads and posts, it's one of Fuwanovel's more precious minerals and lots of people enjoy collecting it. Lolis Lolis are to Fuwanovel what coal is to a furnace. They keep the site running. School Days HQ The worst visual novel in history. Only the brave try to touch it with a 10 foot pole. Spam Fuwanovel's insides are mostly made of spam, it is the thing that inflates the forum in content as well as people's post count. My Blender A picture of my blender. Fuwanovel Timeline While hard to grasp for newcomers, Fuwanovel runs on a timeline named Soon What happens in this timeline is, for every new feature that's annouced, a wormhole is created which causes the creation of that feature to be stuck on a sort of limbo. Fuwanovel is perpetually threading this Soon timeline. But it's not to say that the timeline is an infinite loop. Sometimes, through several riots, Fuwanovel is able to temporarly leap out of the Soon timeline and create something new. But the attraction field surrounding the Soon timeline is very strong so these divergences are scarce and far in between. Too many riots often also result in Fuwapocalypses And this is the reason Fuwanovel is in a state of continuous monotony. I hope with this post you became more knowledgable about Fuwanovel and the magic that goes on behind the scenes. With this knowledge, you can now become an official Fuwan! Praise Scott

  2. I’m going to respond to Maef’s post here: http://forums.fuwanovel.net/index.php?/topic/8694-important-domain-and-host-transfer/?p=240053. I realize the topic has moved in other directions, but a promise is a promise! Hi maef. As I’ve told you before, I think you do a great job cutting to the heart of the issues, and while I think I’ve answered all of these questions here and there in several different posts, it’s worth the time and effort to collect them all here for your consideration. I look forward to your feedback/input. Here are the questions I’m hearing from you. Let me know if I missed any: What is the objective of Fuwanovel? If it’s still “Make VNs popular in the West”, what’s the new gameplan for doing so? In my (Tay’s) mind, how did dropping torrents affect the site and its goals? What new features are being planned to compensate for loss of torrents? How do you plan on getting new players? What is the objective of Fuwanovel? If it’s still “Make VNs popular in the West”, what’s the new gameplan for doing so? If we’re talking about site stationary, then yes, we’re absolutely keeping “Make Visual Novels Popular in the West” as our tagline : P. If we’re talking about site strategy, let me break it down into short and intermediate-term goals (I’ll leave the long-term goals for another post). Short term goals (6-8 months): A) Keep Fuwa relevant, B ) keep building the house, C) Foster/rebuild relationships, D) (possible) VNTLS replacement A) Keep Fuwa relevant: by building new features and increasing blog draw; optimizing searchability by a complete SEO overhaul; building a resource stream to commission special articles and projects; B ) Keep building the house: get the redesigns up (for all 3 sites); enhance Fuwa Academy content beyond lessons and lexicon; build the PC database to >250 games and get a good start on the mobile database; start getting patching guides up; we have 12 VN reviewers on the hub but I wont be happy until I get the last 2 “big” fish on my list; and finish my Fate/HA walkthrough : P C) Relationships: I’ve started forming partnerships with devs for the reviews team, but there are many more I’ll be approaching soon; outreach to TL teams whose patches were on front site + discussion about ways to help; prep resources for TL teams who want private boards on forums for their projects; outreach and joint projects with other VN communities (in discussions atm); evangelizing anime/FB groups and equal-exchange with bigger anime/manga/LN communities; D) I’m talking with folks like [need to get permission before adding name] about ways we can set up a VNTLS replacement Intermediate-Term Goals: E) Fan TL Academy; F) Fan Creation Academy; G) Special Japanese VN news program (Planning on these 3 projects is pretty far along, but as I haven’t had a chance to even bring them up in the LC, yet, I’ll leave it there for the moment) In my (Tay’s) mind, how did dropping torrents affect the site and its goals? I agree with you, Maef, that dropping torrents was a big deal and a threat to our appeal. I think the most important way that it affected the site and its goals from my perspective, is that it forced me to look at the profile of the average user who was going to stick around even after the torrents went offline, and figure out what keeps them coming back. I came to two conclusions: users who “stay” do so for at least one of two reasons: 1) community, or 2) ease of use. If you’re reading this post, you probably get #1 already, so let’s talk #2: People like Fuwa for how easy it is to access information and resources – and that went/goes for more than just torrents. If you take our walkthroughs as an example: they’re far-and-away the most popular English VN walkthroughs on the net. According to Google (I’ve been spending a lot of time with their keywords tools), our walkthroughs are used more and rank higher than GameFAQs for the vast majority of the “popular” VNs, and almost 100% of the less-popular VNs for which we have a walkthrough. Zaka’s TL updates are the same way. The Ongoing Projects board has been quite popular, too, as it allows people to easily find and track a project. The list goes on. If Fuwa can build products which hit on each facet of the hobby and make it as easy as possible to use, we’ll have staying power and we’ll have growing power. There were tons of other mental changes, too, like the benefits of stability. For me, personally, there was a huge mental shift when I realized that there is no longer the threat of unannounced, sudden destruction: I/we now have control of our staying power: owning our own domain and hosting means that as long as the bills get paid, we’ll be here in 12 months time, or in 2 years, or 3 years, etc. What new features are being planned to compensate for loss of torrents? Reviews hub, possible further takeover of VNTLS role, expanded and commissioned blog content, guest blogging program, possible auto-patchers for VNs (user gets the game, gets the patch from the TL team, downloads our autopatcher, and avoids a headache of installation) (this is just on the drawing board, though, so temper expectations), Fuwa Academy lessons + mentor program + lexicon for new players, mobile VN database, partnerships with big TL companies and big/small OELVN devs for review copies of games for FuwaReviews team, a smokin’-hot new front site design, expanding PC database to >250 of most popular VNs, patching guides for the most popular VNs, VN buying guide written by a new friend who wrote the reddit buying guide. Further down the road: Fan TL Academy; Fan Creation Academy; Special Japanese VN news program; expanded interactive fiction section How do you plan on getting new players? Fuwa Academy lessons and resources; complete overhaul of our site SEO to improve visibility; evangelizing and partnerships with anime groups (where the anime group’s corresponding VN has its own page with lots of info); providing lolis for clephas to sacrifice to the Old Gods; intermediate players via possible VNTLS replacement; Steam curation programs (includes promoting, for example, Meru’s list); I have a handful of other ideas but I think I left that notebook at school and I'm tired The last thing I'll say is that the reviews hub is a good illustration of how I personally function. I think Fuwanovel can be a hub of all the facets of the VN hobby, and that we'll be relevant because we are going to write/commission authoritative guides/articles, host our own stuff, and link and promote external groups/sites generously. I want to get to the point where Fuwa is so easy to use, that people want to use it to navigate the VN landscape just because we make it so easy. My brain got pretty tired writing that up, so I’m sure I missed some stuff. Let me know if an answer isn’t clear or not sufficiently comprehensive for you. I really appreciate your Qs and input, Maef. I see Fuwa as a hobby -- I give the site a lot of time, but that's because I have fun working on stuff with friends here. Yes -- I have a vision and roadmap of where I think Fuwa can go, but underneath all of those ideas is a foundation of fun and cooperation. I want to enjoy myself when I come to Fuwa, and I want everybody else to, too. We need to pace ourselves and make sure we're all having fun, and the improvements will come along.

  6. True, I was also looking forward to a official boxed release of Sumaga, 6 years ago. It may come across as being in a rush, but some of us have been waiting 3 to 4 years already for Majikoi. I can wait longer - but if I had to wait another 6 years? I am not going to live forever ya know~

  9. GIANT Contest ver. 3.2 Do you have what it takes? Greetings boys and girls and Ren. I am solidbatman, and for the next 8 weeks, I will be your worst nightmare. Think you're strong? Think you're smart? You are wrong. You are worthless, and I will be proving it to you through various cruel, torturous activities. In the past, I forced people to sing for me, draw, write fanfiction, search for hidden text. Many gave up. They were weak and evolution shall take care of them. Some, however, stayed strong, and rose to the top. I was defeated, and I was forced to pay them in Visual Novels. I AM BACK FOR REVENGE Here is how this competition will work. Every week, for the next 8 weeks, I will issue a challenge. Complete the challenge in a certain amount of time to receive points. The person with the most points at the end of the 8 weeks will win a big big prize. REMEMBER: You will have a chance to win as long as you participate in every week and put in effort. Drop out and miss multiple weeks, and you wont stand a chance. No one can clinch the competition before week 8. Now, on to the prizes. Just what might you all be winning? -ef: A Fairy Tale of the Two -Deardrops -Cho Dengeki Stryker -Infinity Plus full series -Pancake Mix And there will be more prizes added! OriginalRen has agreed to assist me in supplying prizes, direct from Japan. More info to come Now then, with that out of the way, let us move on to doing our first challenge. As a reminder, all off topic talk, or posts that are not an entry must be placed in spoiler tags. This is for my own sanity when I am reading through posts, adding up points. Points Tally Without any more delay, your week one challenge. WEEK 1 To start things off, just reply in this thread saying you wish to take part in this contest. All contestants will receive 5 points. Responding within 24 hours will start you off at 6 points. End Date: March 13 WEEK 2 Hi there! I'm not dead, as close as it felt. I am using what strength I have right now to give all of you a Week 2 message. Your challenge this week will separate the contenders from the pretenders for this week is a drawing challenge! Your challenge: Draw Batman into the Visual Novel of your choice The drawing does not have to be incredible, or even good. Just submit some sort of drawing of Batman in a visual novel to receive points. 5 points to everyone who posts a drawing by March 18th. 3 points for everyone who posts between March 18th and March 22nd. An extra 3 points to the person who posts my favorite work! WEEK 3 This past week we have learned, not all of you are the next great artist. In fact, almost none of you are going to be a Rembrandt. That said, good job to all of you for taking part. I ended up not being able to decide who to give the bonus points to, so I'll give them to both Beato, and Stray Cat. Good work you two! Now, on to this weeks challenge. I know not all of you are good artists, so this week, we'll get creative in a different way; writing. This week, your challenge, is to write a story about the dragon Gangamamer and its adventures in the land of Visnovella. There are no other guidelines, no other requirements. So for the love of god, don't ask. Just write. You will lose points for asking a question this round. WEEK 4 Ahhhh, I love how much effort you guys put into this. And no one fell for my trap of asking questions despite me not spelling out how much this past week was worth. Now to make you all super mad. There are no bonus points for week 3. Just 5 points for anyone who took part. I'll get around to points sheet ASAP (I have some papers for school to write first but I do have someone working on it for me). Now this week, there are bonus points, so don't worry. This weeks challenge will weed out the last of the casuals. We've had many drop already, but I expect this week to really destroy the willpower of those wanting an easy contest. What is the challenge this week you ask? Write a song based off the story you wrote for week 3. That's right. This week, you are to write a song based off the story you wrote just last week. This is a basic 5 point week. Respond within 24 hours with a song and receive 6 points instead. As for the bonus, anyone who sings their song (no music required) and posts it for everyone to listen will receive and unspecified amount of points. The less people who do it, the more the bonus will be. WEEK 5 DAY ONE Hello hello, and welcome to the daily challenges. Each day, you will be issued a challenge. Completing the challenge will net you 5 points towards this glorious competition. Now, I know many people have dropped out, which is a shame. Though... if everyone drops out, I won't have to give this stuff away. Right, so we have a goal this week now. Isn't that nice? Your first daily challenge is as follows: Mario is easily the face of Nintendo, and arguably the most recognizable figure in video games. Who would you say is the most recognizable character in Visual Novels, and why? DAY TWO Time for another question. What do you feel are the 5 most important letters of the English alphabet? Just a heads up, anyone in this competition who does not take part in the day 3 challenge tomorrow, will lose 10 points. DAY THREE Those who do not take part in Day 3, will lose 10 points I also... am not really sorry for this at all. Up to this point, I have been very nice to all of you with your challenges. That ends today. Your challenge today, is to write a 150+ word story, without using the 5 letters you picked in Day 2. If you use any of the 5 letters you picked in Day 2, you will lose 8 points, and face an even worse challenge for day 4. Fear not though, I do rubber band things towards to end. So be sure to remain strong through adversity. For I will not allow you to face impossible odds. DAY FOUR Have fun with Day Three? No? Good. Day Four will continue my mean streak. Take your Day Three story, pick two more letters to remove that are featured in your story more than 3 times a piece, and rewrite the whole story without those newly removed letters, with real, English words. As a final stipulation, there can be no words that end in -ing. Again, find two letters in your day 3 story that repeats more than 3 times a piece, and remove them while rewriting the story to match as close as possible to what you wrote. And remember, no words that end in -ing as well. 15 point challenge. WEEK 6 There is no day 7. I screwed up the timing and was a day behind. A fact I did not realize until today. Oh well, that gave me more time to plan an even more evil challenge than the Day 6 challenge that was so popular. Congrats to suikashoujo or whatever your name is for winning the 10 bonus points. Day 5 was worth 5, and Day 6 5. Now then, on to week 6. Week 6 is another scavenger hunt! Except this time, you will searching my posts on Fuwanovel for 22 red letters. Once you gather all 22 red letters, organize them into a specific phrase that I have picked. Once one person gets the correct answer, the week will end. This week is a winner take all week for the points, 20 of them. Except with a catch. You all may work together and provide hints and directions as you wish. Be mindful though, only the first person to get the correct solution will receive the 20 points for the week. On top of that, if the person who gets the correct answer first sits outside of the top point totals on my score sheet, then the top contest scorers will lose 20 points. If the person who wins is in the top scorers, then they will simply get 20 points and have a large lead going into Week 7. The top scorers currently are: Suika flutterz vibrantblade kata rose ivanlegato Godspeed ladies and gentlemen PS: Seriously, stop complaining and asking questions. Zodai, you will receive your verdict tomorrow. Also awaiting a possible judgement; Noah_Crises for simply replacing banned letters with x's and other letters while leaving a key. Note: If this is solved within 48 hours, I will add another one this week.

    Changing is Hard

Last week I read It's A Hard Life. Three years ago I read Katawa Shoujo. And here I sit, writing, having finished neither of them. I bring this up because it says something about me that might not be immediately obvious and I wonder if maybe this actually matters. I think I'm in dire need of some accountability and of some understanding of what I'm really doing with myself. So, the first thing to do is to take a step back and think about why I haven't finished half of my favorite stories. From the Dune series to Yokohama Kaidashi Kikou to Hakomari and more, I've struggled for years to actually finish the stories I love the most. It's kind of a weird problem, as far as I can tell. I haven't run into anyone with quite the same issue. Let's begin. Do you know that moment? That moment when something is so good that you cannot stand it being ruined; When you tell your family to be quiet or turn off your phone so that nothing distracts you from something truly amazing. That moment when you decide that crunching on some chips does the mood a disservice and seriously focus in on what may just be the best thing you've read in the last two years. Or ever. It's that moment when I tell myself that the time isn't right. The mood needs improvement and I'm a little tired so tomorrow when I'm feeling utterly perfect is when I will return to this amazing experience. It's that moment, when I become aware of everything around me, that it all goes downhill. Because the perfect moment rarely arrives. So why not, as others have offered, just screw the mood and jump into it? It just always feels wrong. It's like having trouble trust falling. I'm afraid that if I take the chance and screw the mood, take the fall, and trust in the strength of the story I have chosen that I'll end up in in pieces on the floor. It's pretty dramatic, I know, but the dangers aren't skin-deep. A professor of mine once said, "identity is about the creation of meaning." And I really believe that. I've always told myself that these stories mean something. That they matter to me because they are somehow important, even if it isn't exactly clear how. These days I tie my very identity to their impact on me as a person and my development. They hold a place in my heart that I don't think it's exactly normal for stories to hold, but I'm quite happy that they are there anyway. That's really what it comes down to. I'm afraid that if I'm distracted or something is wrong with my mentality or what-have-you that I'll no longer feel the way I did earlier. How horrible it would be if one day I pick up the third Dune book to realize that it's not actually as good as I imagined it would be. If I were to rewatch Guilty Crown and find a plot hole I would be crushed. Something more than a story will have changed. Something about me will be different. Something I don't want to be different. It's because somewhere in the world of me I put value in these stories and they sit there in their pretty glass cases in my mind. I look at them and think to myself 'how pretty that was' or 'how much you matter to me'. I am afraid that one day I will look at something once beloved and no longer will that passion burn. And then I will be left with nothing (well... not nothing). So I stop reading Dune, afraid that the third book will not live up to my image of the first two. I stop watching Ghost in the Shell because the timing isn't right. I stop and I worry and I worry. I stop because I feel fragile. I want to change. So I will. More on that to come, probably. Thanks for reading and I'd be glad if you left a comment.

  14. Hey everybody, Due to yet more complaints from our awesome devs, I decided to post to make the community aware that a former user is still stalking the forums and harassing users. He has gone by many aliases in the past: “OmniKnight”, “Façade”, “Ghost”, “Zodai_Strife”, “Lucia”, “Shirou”, and others. His skype username is “russelparadox” (atm appears as “Balthier”) / Okazaki Tomoya. We've been patient with this guy for a long time, and only started taking action after he started bugging devs and mentors. Today I tried talking to him directly to settle the issue, and he made it clear that he has no intention of stopping. Omni tends to make accounts, spam PMs to members, staff, or people on the dev boards inviting them to have private Skype conversations (or join one of his Skype groups), and then tries to use them in all sorts of weird ways (ex: at one point he tried to amass a following to “overthrow” Fuwa so he could reestablish it “in the form” laid out by “the Constitution of the United States.” Like I said: odd duck). In the last few days he’s allegedly lost a major source of funding after misusing their money for his own benefit, so if he approaches you asking for money, or to join a team, or provide services, be extremely careful. It’s likely in your best interest to ignore and/or block him. So. Reminder: If any user – no matter how new or old – contacts you and makes you feel uncomfortable, please contact a mod right away. We have a strict no-harassment policy here on Fuwa. Thanks, Tay

  26. Into the Fray! First Foray into Untranslated VNs Man does that title make this seem important. Hate to disappoint, but it is not important at all. So recently I decided it would be a good idea to finally stop procrastinating on something I have been really meaning to do. I finally got off my butt and got my hands on Akatsuki no Goei and installed it on my computer. With my current Japanese level, I felt it would be a good one to try and work my way through. Not too difficult and not too easy. I just felt like a moege wouldn't really help me as much as trying to struggle my way through something with a higher level of linguistic complexity. That kinda makes it seem like I am talking about the difference between a moege and things done by the developers Light, but believe me, I make no such mistakes. I am no pleb... ... I just really wanted to say the word pleb. Its like.. my favorite 'word' right now. I have enjoyed it thus far, that is for sure. Kaito is a freaking AWESOME protagonist. I love him, in the manly not homosexual way. I think I have spent a total of ten hours reading, but I would be really surprised if I made it even an hour in as far as 100% fluent in Japanese person is concerned. However, I have definitely felt my vocab improving, even if it has only been three days. I have picked up a few new words and phrases, which made me pretty happy. Incoming Digression: So yeah, its pretty good. Maybe I will do day by day entries about my experiences with it. You can see in post time how bad my Japanese failings are. We'll see how I feel after today's playthrough.

  31. Nah, it just means you have specific tastes I kinda suffer the same thing - I can barely hold a conversation with my family or most "strangers" in RL (unless it's about the news or garbage smalltalk), because my "real" interests are video games, anime, etc~ When I can talk to someone that shares my interests, I have a hard time shutting up lol. Confession: Me, now being in my mid 30's - have found I don't need to be with another to be content. I used to hang out at bars and partied with friends all the time, and would worry about if things would work out or not between me and "girl x", but honestly I think there was far more drama and headaches then actual "good" moments, lol. Hate to admit it, but for the last few years I feel I get enough joy and feeling out of stories (VNs, anime, books, etc) to keep my heart warm. But perhaps that's "easy for me to say" - I have had the rare luxery to have loved and been loved. They say "it is better to have loved and lost, then to have never loved at all". There are many who are not as fortunate. Maybe age has cooled off my hormones and I just don't care on a instinctual level, or I really am alright just being by myself (and with a small handful of friends) - but I find I am happy with who I am, and the path I am walking - even if that path is a little more quiet then it is for some others. huh, a little more longwinded and preachy than I meant it to be, but ah well.

  32. We had a 2D vs 3D thread once... it ended poorly. Although now that one of the two people who caused that thread to be locked is gone it might work better. Confession: as much as I might complain in this thread about being forever alone it doesn't bother me nearly as much as it used to, I guess I've come to terms with it or something.

  35. Nah, they are in a rush. I barely know anything about the series to be honest except I thought the girl with really long hair was Rin from Little Busters. I know they all want to read it now. I simply don't, but I would like a box version of it and an official release. Which is why I would be just fine with a Jast license.

  36. Hey guys, Facade is no longer a part of Studio Quest, although he intends to use the name I would like to emphasise that he is no longer associated with Studio Quest LTD in anyway. If you wish for an explanation I will be happy to give it to you in a PM later. Many thanks -Matt (Studio Quest LTD board member)

Spam Fuwanovel's insides are mostly made of spam, it is the thing that inflates the forum in content as well as people's post count. Nothing more need be said.

  40. Of course. We need somewhere to mindlessly pour all our likes into. (Mind how many replies this thread as gotten since it sprung to life out of nowhere. And all this topical discussion... wow.)

  45. He has a route. The one who need a route in Rewrite is Chihaya

  46. It was originaly planned that she would have gotten a full route, but due to budget issues and time constraints she had to be taken out. I hear that they plan to add her route back in for the remake. Lets see I feel -Aoki Touji (cartagra) could have gotten a cool bad end, like Shugo asks for one favor too much and she pisses off the cops or the sect ending in a epic battle. -Yosomiya Tsuzuriko (Kara no Shoujo) I just want a ending in which she gets to live T.T -The side characters (Kikouyoku Senki Tenkuu no Yumina) I respect the genere change at the midpoint, but what was the point of getting to know all those sidecharacters if you are not going to use them? -Kiryuu Moeka (Steins;Gate) I think I heard that she had a route planned at the start of the project, but than some bull crap about players sympathizing too much with her came up.... I don't know, but that audio drama that recently was translated fills the slot pretty nicely.

  48. Notice: I edited most of this walkthrough because of several errors and inconcistencies. I completed the game 100% with the full translation and checked with a Japanese walkthrough to make sure I didn't miss any choice. Routes I added If Route: Brother and Sister If route: Abominable Kirino If Route: Rock Endings I added Manami True Ending 2nd Saori Ending 2nd Kuroneko Ending 2nd and 3rd Kirino Ending 2nd Manami ending Lastly I edited most of the guides to reflect all the new branches, mainly in the Kuroneko and Kirino routes but all the others were also revised and checked to see if they were working properly (Kanako and Yuri routes weren't working properly at first) Hope you enjoy!

  49. MangaGamer's top 10 list only includes sales from their site, not steam sales. If they counted Steam sales Go Go Nippon would be #1 and Cho Dengeki Stryker, one of their more unpopular titles, would have taken the #2 spot, which is surprising considering how it looked like it was performing at first glance. But what it actually tells you is how their games traditionally perform when sold through their own site (previously the only way to get them). This is also why they paid their translators far below the industry standards and shied away from difficult projects. It's easy to look at that article and get depressed over how nukige continues to outsell their other stuff. But I tend to have a more optimistic outlook. First, MangaGamer continues to make a strong push for non-nukige titles despite them being demonstrably less profitable. It shows that they really don't consider profit to be the primary factor when choosing which titles to localize. The other big thing here, the advent of steam, is also a strong positive. I think it will actually push things away from nukige. When an average, relatively unpopular title manages to top everything but their #1 nukige just by being on steam, you begin to get the idea that all-ages steam releases could be the new nukige for MangaGamer. They'll continue to release all-ages ports on Steam, and if they perform as well or better than CDS, the company won't have to push out a crapload of cheap nukige to survive anymore. I also don't think it's bad for "normal" eroge, either, MangaGamer will continue pushing both all-ages and 18+ versions of their future releases (if viable). I can actually see this opening up a lot more doors for them. I can guarantee you that Neko Para and Sakura Spirit both sold way more than Mangagamer's products. The two may have sold more than MG's entire catalog combined. I wouldn't consider that "falling short". I don't know how far short the rest of their stuff fell, but I really doubt it was unprofitable. I expect that Kajitsu will end up selling very well on Steam once that is released. edit: And if you really want to feel down, you should recognize that it's highly likely that in its first week of release, HuniePop probably outsold everything listed in this thread.
