  2. It's about a boy named Sora who's lived a normal life for the past 15 years of just going to school and trying to make friends but couldn't fit in because he's always been different than most kids like being able to run quicker, jump higher and farther, and been overly stronger than most people. He tried to get through life the best he could until one fateful day on his 16th birthday when he wakes up to find out he's late for school so he rushes out of the house in a hurry unknowingly being followed by a girl named Umi who was also running late for school into a off limits forest known for a lot of deaths in the forest. When Sora enters the forest he immediately senses something is off about the forest and runs quickly halfway through the forest while Umi was secretly following him. Sora was almost out of the forest when suddenly a fireball comes flying at him and barely dodges by diving out of the way and the fireball hits the ground making a ring of fire around him catching both Sora and Umi in it. Umi screams which makes Sora turn around in surprised to see his classmate with him, worried for her safety Sora quickly searches for a way out but before he could find a way out he hears her scream again. Sora looks at the girl again only to see her being grabbed by a monster twice his size! The demon says "I have found the boy of legends."; The monster demands Sora to stand still and let the monster kill him or he will crush the girl's ribs and kill her. Scared and desperit Sora charges at the monster at full speed and strength and punches the monster in the face but it laughed it off and said "Hahaha! That felt like a mosquito bite.", and then squeezes the girl Umi a little making Umi scream in pain. The monster demands again to Sora to stand still and let it kill him. The monster then begins to charge up a fireball from it's mouth, Sora begins to feel scared of the thought of dying and getting his classmate killed, looking at the girl Sora makes a vow that if he's going to die then he would do everything in his power to save to save the girl in the monster's hand even if it kills him. Sora suddenly feels a sudden surge of power welding up inside his chest and then begins to feel pain coming out of his back. Sora falls to the ground in pain gripping at the ground on his hand and knees, as he's about to pass out through the pain he looks up at the girl in the monster's hand looking scared and about to die he's decides to endure the pain and something in his mind tells him to use the power building up inside his chest and then suddenly pure white angel looking wings emerge from his back. Sora, confused about what just happened looks at these new strange wings that came out of his back that are glittering from the sunlight. The monster looks at Sora and says "What the hell is this?! How does he have both demonic and angelic energy?!" The monster then fires his charged up fireball toward Sora, Sora sensing the attack coming the voice in his head tells him to molt a feather with the power he feels in his chest. Doing what the voice tells him he quickly concentrates his power into one of his feathers and molts one feather, Sora quickly grabs the feather and it suddenly transforms into a giant two handier sword with the blade completely red like fire and the hilt orange with a red-orange jewel in between the blade and the hilt. Sora still getting used to his wings tries to fly with them and flies towards the monster barely but quickly dodging the fireball. "What!?" says the monster. Sora quickly flies towards the monster and cuts the arm off of the hand that was holding Umi, the girl lands on the ground and Sora says "Go find somewhere to hide while I try to deal with this!"; Umi does what's she's told and hides behind the tree that wasn't hit by the fire in the ring of flames. "Damn it all to hell!" says the monster as he quickly flies into the sky and begins to charge another fireball in the sky. "Your not getting away!" Sora says as he steadily tries to fly after him. The monster fires the fireball and says "HA! YOU'LL NEVER DODGE AT THAT DISTANCE!"; Sora knowing the monster was right and he was running out of options, he then hears the voice in his head telling him to cut the through the fireball. Sora does what the voice tells him to do and begins to cut into the fireball, "What?!" says the monster. To Sora's surprise the newly manifested sword begins to absorb the fireball into the blade itself and the voice then tells him "Quickly! Use the move called 'Oblivion'!"; Sora takes his now charged sword that's in flames and shouts "OBLIVION!!!" and a massive fireball bigger ten times stronger than the monster own fireball goes flying at him! "NOOO! THIS IS IMPOSSIBLE! HOW CAN THIS MEER MORTAL BE THIS POWERFUL?!?!" the monster shouts as it is engulfed in the flames and sent flying into the sky being burned to ashes. Sora exhausted falls to the ground with his wings and sword disappearing, Umi quickly runs to Sora and says "Are you okay?!"; Sora says "Yeah somehow..." with holes in the back of his school uniform shirt.; The girl then says "Thanks for saving my life."; "Oh you don't have to thank me, I only did what I felt was right." says Sora. The girl says "My name is Umi and you?"; Sora replies "The names Sora, kinda a weird way for us to meet huh?"; "Yeah it is, so um can I ask you something?" asks Umi. "Sure what's that?" says Sora.; Umi asks "Sora... What are you?"; "I...I don't know..." Sora says in a scared manner. With this new found ability and questions building up in Sora's head how will the next chapter unfold? Find out next time on the next chapter of "The Chronicles of Sora"! Story by: Sonicboom2.0 (William Tyler Dewart) Thanks for reading my first chapter, I've been developing this story for a few years now and this is a rough idea of how I wanted the first chapter to turn out. Sorry if there wasn't enough dialog in the first chapter I'm not good with character interaction and I'm still working on it so you can say this chapter was a rough draft I came up with so far. I plan to turn this into a manga eventually so I hope I can learn a few things about storytelling as I develop this. I would appreciate it if no one copyright my story into their own but I would also like some advice on what you think of the story I have so far. I'd be nice a manga company like Shonen Jump noticed my story and decided to help me publish it lol.

  3. I generally have the same belief about parents. Parents do annoy you sometimes, yeah, but that's their way of saying that they love us and that they actually care for us. Meddling, worrying, scolding, and other stuff. Those are different methods that, while they are indeed annoying to some extent, they make us feel loved by our parents. I'm not one of the people who prefer that his parents not meddle in his affairs, really. I like telling my mother stuff. Maybe it's because I grew up with my mom being a single parent, but that's just who I am. If I don't appreciate her efforts as my mother, who else would? The others? No. It should be me, because I'm her child and I'm the one being given love. Even though I don't always show it, I love her, and I'd do stuff for her yeah. She can go and make me run errands and stuff, and that shouldn't make me mad. I will always be indebted to my mother, and I'll be paying off that debt my whole life. Yes. I can go and marry and stuff, but I won't be forgetting about her. Because she's my mother, and she's the only mother I'll have in this lifetime. Yeap yeap. Even though sometimes we disagree, we agree to disagree and agree to reach an agreement, because we can't leave things hanging between us, yeah. Mommy may not treat me the same way as other mothers treat their children, but that's okay. I don't need eternal pampering. Just the thought of my mother worrying about me and kissing me as I go leave the house is enough, really. Oh. My mother's 36. She gave birth to me when she was 19. She chose not to get rid of me, even though I came into her life too early. That fact will always stay by me, and will always make me cherish my mother. She's the person I'll definitely love 'till I leave this place. Yes, my dear mother. Of course she knows that. Of course that's embarrassing to others, but who cares. I think loving someone with all your heart shouldn't be something embarrassing. Confession: I'm from a broken family like some other people. My dad was 45 when I was born. Well, he's 61 now. I still see him, even though he left me when I was, like, 6 years old or something. He came back 6 years after, and has been supporting me ever since. I don't hate him or anything, since I don't think I can hate people, but I think he's still doing wrong things. He's still hunting for girls, since he's as handsome and ever, and could probably beat up people. As I'm typing this, I'm actually preparing to meet him again this afternoon, since I just graduated and he wants to see me. Sorry for the long post. I just had to get that out of my system. Not that it's bad to keep it in or something. I just want to share it to people. Young'uns these days tend to dislike their parents because 'lol ur suffocating me', and that's just sad.

  6. I ran into this channel the other week, and I think they're by far the most useful videos I've ever found on YouTube. Ignoring all the <N2 stuff, but the N2 and N1 playlist of videos are great. Specifically: There's a whole bunch of other playlists too, for N3 if you really want, more for N2 and N1, including vocabulary, and a bunch done in English which are more simple than the above, with some basic vocab. Even have a culture/vocab/grammar series, which is really interesting as someone who likes the pre-modern Japan, learnt a lot from that. They're all easy to follow and all really well explained, going through all the possible answers and saying why they're wrong and giving example etc. They're really worth a look imo.

  7. From one group to another, best of luck. Majikoi is a fun VN, so I'm looking forward to the sequel. Also frankly glad that this isn't coming out for a bit, I didn't move for two days after the first title came out. Getting absorbed in another VN so soon would be terrible for all that real life stuff I'm ignoring.

  8. (Last time…) Guy: "Oookay. I still think they're porny." (< not a word) Me: "That probably says more about you than the art style." *Tay gets slugged* Me: "Owww!" Guy: "No, but really. Why not just read a book or comic instead?" (And now for the "epic" conclusion!) Me: “What do you mean?” Guy: “I dunno. Why read *that”—“ *he waves a finger lazily at the PC screen* “when you could just read a comic or a book, instead?” Me: “Um. Because variety is a good thing? For example, do you eat the same thing for lunch every day?” *Uncomfortable moment of silence.* Me: “You do, don’t you?” Guy: “Yeah, generally.” Me: “Dang. Way to pull a Ford on me. Okay, so, that was a bad example –“ Guy: “Ford?” Me: “Henry Ford. The guy who made the cars? He’s famous for the line, ‘You can have any color [of Model T] as long as it's black.’ Meaning: sameness is boring.” *Guy’s eyes are still glazed over* Me: “Okay, fine. Tell me a hobby that interests you.” Guy: “NASCAR.” Me: “Um. No. Try again. Give me another one. A better one.” *Tay gets slugged* Me: “Owww!” Guy: “Music, then.” Me: *Rubbing arm* “What kind of music?” Guy: “Oh, all kinds.” Me: “What’s your favorite song?” Guy: “’The Angry American’ by Toby Keith” *Uncomfortable moment of silence* Me: “I’m feeling increasingly justified, here. If that’s your favorite song, we’ve got bigger problems to deal with.” *Continuing rapidly to avoid more pain* “Okay, so, by comparison – don’t you like listening to more than just that one song? Or to just Toby Keith? Isn’t it good to get some variety?” Guy: “I guess so. But I do listen to him most of the time. I don’t like much else.” Me: “You’re making this very hard, [Guy]. Anyway, I’m sure that if you searched your soul you’d discover that variety is a good thing and keeps life interesting. I do read books, but I also read these things—“ *pointing to PC screen* “—because they’re fun. And different.” Guy: “And porny.” Me: “What is it with you and that word?” Guy: “It’s just what they are, [Tay].” Me: *mucho annoyed look* Guy: “I’d be too embarrassed to get caught reading one of those.” Me: “How mature of you.” Guy: “They can’t be that much different than a book, man.” Me: “You’d be surprised.” Guy: “Not likely.” Me: “How about we make this interesting?” Guy: “Fine by me.” Me: “I’m going to let you borrow [my tablet] for a few hours. You’re going to play one of these ‘porny’ games. If it doesn’t impress you, I’ll buy you lunch. If it does impress you, however, you buy me lunch. And if it makes you cry, you have to take my afternoon shift.” Guy: “Fine. But if I hate it, you have to take my shift tomorrow morning.” Me: “Great.” *tap* *tap* *tap* Guy: “So what am I reading?” Me: “It’s a sunny little thing called 'Planetarian'.” *hands over tablet* Guy: “Wish me luck.” Me: “Good luck. Oh, and I locked the other apps, so you can’t snoop. Sorry.” Guy: “D*@%.” The After-Story: [Guy] loved Planetarian and he definitely cried. Lunch was delicious, as was having the afternoon off. He’s interested in trying another “porny game”, though I do not know which one I’ll recommend to him. I have not yet actually told him that there is, in fact, porn in some of the games. Mostly because I really hate the word “porny.”

  9. This thread still needs help to grow. Feel free to post your useful resources, with a small description of what it is. You can also ask any questions related to this topic. ------------ Chances are, if you read VN, at some point you'll get interested in learning Japanese. This thread will NOT tell you how to learn japanese, I'm not qualified for that. This is a compilation of useful resources you might need, put together by helpful members and myself. If you know absolutely nothing about the language, I recommend you to read a bit about it before. Read some wikipedia pages and the introductions of various guides. The best way to approach things is probably to try out a bit of everything and see what works for you. Here are the categories of resources presented: *Learning methods: more-or-less complete schedule other people put together. *Useful softwares, apps & cie *Kanji & Kana *Grammar *Practice material Learning methods Those hardly consist of rigid guides that'll take you all the way, but they might help to give you an idea on how to approach learning the language. Don't spend too much time looking for methods, you'll most likely end up doing things in a different way anyway. Tae Kim's complete guide to japanese (everything is not complete yet) Nukemarine's Suggested Guide for Beginners "It's a guide on how to learn japanese by plowing through anki cards in a effective manner. It's made by a community member at Koohi forums. (I'd like to mention you can learn vocab very fast with this method and keep it in memory. But you learn without a lot of context, which has its negative sides.)" (Bolverk) The Tay way (note that this is from 2013 and no longer in use) Aaeru's "learn how to read VN in two years" Useful softwares Those are basic tools you'll almost certainly need, or at least try out, in your learning of japanese. Google IME: Allows you to type in Japanese. Click this link, click the big blue button, install: you can now switch your typing mode to japanese. Rikaichan: Firefox app that gives you a dictionary entry for a word by simply hovering over it. Extremely useful. Also exists for Chrome. Anki: A flash card software with a built-in algorithm for learning efficiency. Exists on Android and iOS too. (Regular hand-written flash-cards can be a useful tool too). Use shared decks to find vocab/kanji pre-made decks. Note about Anki: the use of Anki is advocated as necessary by some and deemed completely useless by others. Starting out with basic vocab/kanji grinding will probably help you ease into practice material, however learning tons of words, or worse even tons of kanji out of context is not a good idea. It's up to you to find out whether you want to use Anki (and whether you can). ITH, TA, Mecab, Jparser: ITH is a text hooker that'll extract the text from, say, a VN for you. Translation Aggregator will pass said text through parsers and dictionaries. Extremely useful to practice on VNs. Some tips and other softs for ITH here Chiitrans: a useful alternative to ITH/TA. Same principle. Read the tuto for more details. Visual Novel Reader: Another alternative to ITH/TA. Note about text hookers: it might seem obvious but do NOT use machine translations with your text hookers. You won't learn anything from the garbage it feeds you and you won't even actually understand what's going on, whether you think you do or not. It is also not a very good idea to rely on parsers for grammar purposes. Parsers are far from perfect. They certainly can't replace a grammar resource and basic googling. Think of text hookers as crutches you use until you become able to read without constantly looking up vocabulary. It is also a good idea to switch to japanese-japanese dictionaries as soon as you can - only they will give you the nuances of the words, and they're also much less flawed than existing free j-e dictionaries. Kanji & Kana Learning the hiragana and katakana should be about the first thing you do. It's not very long or difficult. Becoming accustomed to reading them is longer but it eventually comes. Kanjis are probably the biggest psychological barrier for japanese learners. I don't have a magical method to suggest, but do tell yourself it's really not that hard if you stop thinking too hard about it and trying to find the best, most optimized method for learning them. Try to learn the basic ones, see where you can get, and start practicing on reading as soon as you can. RealKana: This is just an example among others of ways to learn the kana. It's the first thing you should do anyway, and it's not hard or long. Heisig's Remember the Kanji: A method for learning kanji through memo stories, by association with an english keyword. Good for starters, probably won't get you through the whole kanji learning though. See Tay's guide and this website too. Kanjidamage: Learning the kanjis through radicals and memo sentences. I'm not a fan of his method, but it has some interesting information in the introduction and on some kanjis. Grammar Basic grammar: Tae Kim's guide: The most popular (and free!) guide on the internet. Rather compact, has all the essential grammar with good explanations and examples. A must. Genki: To take things more slowly, or have a different view on points you didn't get. (No links for that one yet, it's not free, sorry) Nihongomori: this is a youtube channel with videos explaining grammar, but also vocab and other misc things, done by native speakers (in english for the basics, japanese later). It goes from basic grammar (JLPT N5-N4 level) up to finer points (N2-N1 level) so it actually covers intermediate/advanced grammar too. The videos are pretty fun and well done, if you like the video media it might work good for you. More advanced grammar: Imabi: Lots of in-depth explanations about various grammar subjects. Not recommended for pure beginners and not written as a guide. If you want to go further than that, you'll need to go into japanese grammar books. Don't forget a simple research on the internet can give you lots of explanations about pretty much anything anyway. Advanced grammar: If you want to go further into grammar than that (for example if you want to read 古典 and such), you'll probably need to go into japanese grammar textbooks. This guide is approved as being really good. (Change the encoding of the page to Japanese EUC-JP for it to display correctly) This page could be useful too. Feel free to do your own research! Others: A grammar cheat sheet. Not for beginners, obviously. Nihongoresources: A grammar guide. Never tried it. Practice Material General advice: Try to avoid material based on comedy (because you need a good enough knowledge to get the jokes), or that rely heavily on slang or local dialect. Also, avoid things that have too much technical vocabulary (hard sci-fi) or chuuni stuff with abstract concepts and archaic kanjis. Chokochoko: Some practice texts (articles on various stuff), ranked by JLPT difficulty. Children's tales: easy place to start. Japanese subtitles for lots of anime. VNs in japanese: *Relatively easy language for a story-focused VN. *List of VN for beginners, with two levels of difficulty. *A big list of Visual novels to read if you are confident enough (~JPTL N2). I won't point you out to raw mangas, of course, but if you can find high enough quality scans (or can afford to import them) it's obviously a great way to practice. Every shoujo and shonen manga have furiganas on every kanjis. Seinen/josei may not have them, but it doesn't mean they're necessarily more difficult. Dictionaries, vocabulary resources Note: Japanese-english dictionaries (the free ones you'll find on the internet) are pretty much all based on Edict. Of course, as a beginner you have to use j-e dictionaries, but 1) edict is far from perfect 2) j-e dictionaries are inherently limited anyway: only japanese dictionaries will give you the right nuance (and they're rather excellent). So as soon as you can, switch to japanese dictionaries. The jump is not easy but it's necessary, especially if you intend to read VNs with a higher level of language. Overall, the internet is your friend! A simple search will often yield whatever you're looking for. Finding your way, especially in japanese websites, is the most useful skill you can develop (although once again you need to reach a certain level of confidence first). Jisho: Jap/eng dictionary. Tangorin: Same thing. WWWJDIC Dictionary site. Japanese online dictionary. Requires good enough knowledge of japanese to be used. Slang dictionary. Same as above. Writing recognition: Tries to find a kanji directly written with your mouse. Tanos: Various JLPT-related resources: vocabulary and kanji lists, etc. Blog posts and articles about learning japanese Blogpost by garejei: Tips and a view on kanji memorization. ----- Thanks to Clephas, Bolverk, cryofrzd, Okami, garejei, Mephisto and probably a bunch of others I forgot to add (sorry!) for their contributions.

  10. https://vndb.org/v17102 Purported as a "true sequel", this is going to be the first new canon entry to the series since the original. Hardly anything is known about it, other than it taking place in the beta world line. I can't really imagine how that will work since S;G's true ending ended on a different world line. What do you guys think about all this?

    Hello Again!

Hello Fuwanovel Community! I decided to make an account here cuz everything here is awesome! Lots of contents for VNs and lots of helpful tools! But most especially the community is alive, and really helpful. I've been playing eroges for years now and because of VNR I am having no trouble playing non-translated VNs. It is waaay easier than the Atlas machine translator, and its easier to understand too! Aaalright

    Project Ven

Hope this is in the right place - if not, let me know and I'll move it. Long time lurker coming out of his shell, so please let me know if I'm breaking forum etiquette V_V Anyways, hey all! My Name is Kevin, and I'm here to look for writers for a project me and a few others have been working on! Here's a demo video to get things rolling. Edit 2: Demo is up! Edit 3: We have a writer! Many thanks for all the people who applied, and to all those who commented/gave us feedback. We'll be sure to keep you guys updated on the project as it matures in the coming months! Download link (40mb): http://www.mediafire.com/download/y1kb4 ... .4_win.rar Only windows build up for now, working on mac port Notes about the Demo: Once again, I must stress the fact that we don't have a writer (which I suppose is kinda the point). As such, expect the writing to be fairly dodgy, as it was put together by a bunch of artists and a programmer. The build is intended purely as a tech demo demonstrating the capabilities of our system - I'm sure the writers out there can already envision better uses for it! Optimization for lower-end computers is still on-going, so it might lag a bit on older laptops/desktops. If you guys find any bugs with the build, or have any comments, please let us know! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AHiQ8veXLns : D pretty snazzy eh? For the more astute, you can see the influences we've drawn from studios SHAFT and Trigger in particular. Project Ven What is Project Ven? We like to call it "a visual novel on crack" (You can see that we're not very good with words - probably why we need a writer). Our goal is to make a visual novel that demonstrates the capabilities of the medium to a mainstream audience, while remaining relevant to existing fans of the genre. Examples of some of the elements we are exploring: Player agency and its role in dictating narrative pacing and content Usage of textual and visual assets in complementary ways Page/link system ala Twine Kinetic typography Experimental rendering systems to simulate 2d "hand-drawn" animations Exploration of space as a narrative device While it's still too early to spill the beans on all the stuff we have planned (nCart rendering system I'm looking at you), suffice to say we have a lot of exciting stuff coming - all of which you can follow throughout the coming months on this blog. Our studio: Title pending The team behind it all. In the latter half of 2014, a group of nerds got together and asked themselves the question: why haven't visual novels grown as a medium since its 2000s heydays? Compared to other "niche" genres such as voxel games, rogue-likes and simulators, the genre hasn't seemed to have progressed as much, and still remains a budding industry in the West. While we salute the folks at Dischan Media, Freebird Games, and Sekai Project - examples of companies that have made great strides in furthering the genre - we remain deeply dissatisfied at the state of the medium, for we know that it's true potential has barely been touched. So we decided to do it ourselves, and that is how Project Ven came to be. Overtime, we have formulated the following Manifesto: Expand and evolve Visual Novels as a medium for a universal audience. Explore new ways in which Visual Novels can be used as a story-telling medium. Raise the quality bar for Visual Novels not only in the West, but worldwide. I hope it doesn't sound too presumptious - but we really want to (like Fuwas' tagline) "Make Visual Novels Popular in the West". We need a Writer! We have the technical know-how. We have the visuals down-pat. We have the programmer, the designer, the artist, the animator…but we're still missing one crucial element - the writer. This is why we have created this "tech demo": not only to show what we want to do, but to show what we can do - the capabilities of the team and the quality we are aiming for. So if you're a writer interested in creating a high-quality, "next-gen" visual novel, please apply! What we are looking for: Fast and loose writing: Due to the nature of our game, you will be expected to create a large number of text assets - however, you will also be given a large amount of creative freedom in what you write: as can be seen in our demo, we have anything from poems, jokes, anecdotes, screenplays, to recipes. Collaboration: As fellow creatives we understand the pain of having to compromise your vision. That being said, a few of us on the team are also quite keen on the world-building and character design aspects of the game, so be ready for some collaboration! That being said, for our project the story trumps all, so don't be afraid of having to compromise due to artistic or technical constraints - it will be our job to match the story. Volume: We must once again stress the importance of speed: specifically, we're looking at around 180 pages of work (100 pages for the main script, 80 for all the side stories/objects) in 4 months, leaving 2 months for polish/QA. Setting Though the plot and setting of the game has not yet been finalized, we are currently leaning towards magic realism as the genre. We are also steering away from romance; this is due to a variety of reasons, but mainly due to oversaturation from existing works. Scope We wish to start off by testing the grounds with a smaller project: our goal is to release a ~1 hour long novelette within 6 months. The system and pipeline has already been set up for easy integration with text assets - the bulk of the work will not be integration but creation and editing. By aiming for a smaller release we can also focus on quality of execution and polish. The fast release will also let us know on how to progress with the eventual "larger" game, depending on how the initial release goes. Finances We are working with a revenue share model. (Most of us are just students or recent graduates). That being said, we plan to apply for various funding bodies such as the Indiefund & Film Victoria - if any funding is successful, all members of the team will immediately get a share of the funding. For anyone interested in the position, please include an example of previous work you have done. As we are on an extremely tight schedule, please contact us by the 23rd of March. Look forward to the demo, which should be up by this Thursday Friday - apologies for the delay - we realised the submission deadline for the competition is Friday, so will use this opportunity to polish it up further. Feel free to contact us about if you have any questions, or simply ask us below! (I'll be sticking around) email: [email protected] twitter: @projectven blog: http://projectvn.blogspot.com.au/

    Little Busters! EX

There are a lot of misunderstandings here. The only difference between the ME and EX versions are h-scenes. The ME version has the new routes. It, alongside the EX version, also has new non-H content in the old routes. Kud's has the most content added, followed by the Haruka route. The common route also has a lot of new content (as if it needed to be longer). When starting a new game in EX/ME, you can also choose to say that you've already read LB and the game will unlock all content and new routes for you, as if you've completed Refrain, so you don't have to reread anything you don't want to. They do not have any partial patches of the translation released, so you cannot go and play those routes right now if you wanted to.

  15. Pretty good so far. And MG did a nice job on the all-age ver. They only cut off the actual H-scenes, and keep everything else, including the suggestive scenes right before they "started" and afterward the same. MoeNovel still has a lot to learn Guess I will do a review on this, though it will not be anytime soon, since I still haven't finished any route (it's longgg....)

  21. Mines are both 58. My dad and I used to always argue. It was after several heart surgeries later that I realized how fragile life is that I got over his personality. I'm the rare one of out of my house I suppose. None of my sibling really enjoy talking to him. Before my sister passed away, she always avoided calling him and talked directly to my mother. I think it's just normal since mom is always the good guy in the parental relationships. My dad is pretty embarrassing even when taking him out to order sushi since he waves at the waiter like he's a slave, orders food before he's even asked for his drinks and tips using his calculator but I think it's just sad imagining him in the hospital again frail and alone like that. Your parents really become like kids as you get older and they get smaller every year from shrinkage (bone density and muscle mass loss). I've also moved in and out of the house a lot so I got to experience the difference between a strangers version of telling you, "I love you," vs your parents version of telling you they love you.

  24. Nosebleed, please go read pre-Ant HxH and find scans of the tankoubon versions for the Ant and post-Ant arcs instead of the Jump scans =( It hurts to see Togashi getting dissed because of the punctual horrible mess that were those infamous chapters in the Ant arc. Yes, this is more than a week late and off-topic.

The reason I hate it is because I hate gameplay heavy RPGs, especially those that take pride in wasting my time running around dungeons.

  27. Confession: I'm going through one of my ex's first mom stages. Last night she was comparing how I've been getting younger everyday while she's aged a lot since her pregnancy. She thinks it's going to be a big problem if we live together and I start fancying younger girls. But I told her I'd stay up to watch the kid while she can go out all she wants.

  34. I like key's art style I don't mind the disproportional characteristics on their drawings I found them charming in a way and after so many years they are still drawing almost in the same way for a reason. No no no. Saying you dislike something or that it is generally bad is an opinion. Saying that the anatomy or quality is bad isn't really an much of an opinion. You can say that you don't like the Mona Lisa and that you think it's ugly. Those are opinions. But you didn't say "I think the Mona Lisa has bad anatomy" or that "the quality of the Mona Lisa is low". It is a good quality piece it is just not a piece that fits your taste. Something can be hideous and be good quality. Hideous is an opinion, quality has a slight opinion on it but quality in art is measured by specific art theories that hold true in every piece of art. Repetition, perspective, composition, theories of color, rules of anatomy. They measure art quality. It's measured by your adherence to the rules of art and the symbolism behind breaking them. If you break a rule of art, without a reason, the quality is lowered. It's not so much an opinion in that case. Its like a cook deciding to add or take out ingredients or an architect adding/subtracting certain foundational structures. If there isn't a reason why you took out some of those supporting beams the whole house becomes shaky and the quality is undeniably lowered. You aren't going to argue that that is an 'opinion'

  40. Hey guys, I have a problem with the way VNR is showing the text, for example: https://i.imgur.com/7bbsPtz.png http://i.imgur.com/BqGzyMS.png The text seems to very small, it wasn't this way before when I first started using it but when I opened up gameboard and started browsing there my text size for the interface and UI became infinitely small; while the translation boxes for the game are just fine as they were before. Anyone have a solution to this problem? Edit: Also, as I was testing my settings I clicked the 'hide' button on my translation text and now I don't know how to make it unhide or reappear again, someone want to help me out with that as well? Edit2: I fixed the problem by deleting the registery, no help needed for now.

  41. Hello all, I've been asked to introduce myself... I don't really know what to say here, so I'll keep it brief. I'm Alex/Omega, I've been writing for a significant portion of my life though I've never shared anything I've written that I can remember. Then one day I read Muv Luv Alternative, and I decided that I wanted to share my creations with the world in the visual novel format. One thing lead to another, and I'm now (and have been for a wee while) a writer for Violet Hill. I have a lot of faith in this project and the creativity of the people working on it, so I hope any lurkers will keep watch for when we complete the game! -Alex/Omega P.S: I don't really want to self promote myself here but I'm always open to writing, editing, helping bounce ideas, or even just making friends in the community! So feel free to PM =]

    Toradora! Portable

Summary A spin-off of the popular Toradora Anime. Unlike in the original story, this time Takasu Ryuuji finds himself in a hospital bed. Confused and dizzy he's suddenly greeted by a short girl who calls him by a strange name. Is this his name? Who is this girl? It's soon after that the shocking truth comes to the surface. Amnesia. Poor Ryuuji suffered an accident after christmas eve and forgot everything about his past, his friends, his likes, his relationships, even his own name. As he leaves the hospital he meets up with all sorts of people who seem to be acquainted with him. A beautiful blonde girl who apparently lives with him. His best friends Kitamura and Minori. The popular model Kawashima Ami and even his pet parakeet Inko-chan. These people hold all of Ryuuji's memories and they are the key to unlocking his past. What will Ryuuji do? Will he be able to recover all of his past? An eventful journey awaits him as new year approaches and the new school semester comes closer by the day. Will he be able to remember everything before school starts? And if he does will anything in his new life change? It's all up to you to you decide. Ending Guideline / Suggested Route Order This novel has an enforced playing order so you will not be able to avoid bad endings straight away. Each ending is graded at the end of the game by Yuri, she'll score it from the worst possible (50 points) to the best possible (100 points). There's a lot of dialog choices that are only available if you pick certain items while cleaning/talking. The common route always branches at the exact same point and you'll get a different scenario based on the choices you made. The game is divided into 3 scenarios: Kitamura & Kano, Courage Test and Solution. Within each scenario you have several character routes that you can get into. This is an ending guide not a full walkthrough Following this entire guide will get you around 90% completition of the game. Why not 100%? There's numerous ways of getting into the same ending and each of those counts as a percentage of the game. Every single choice, item and path is a percetange. My goal here is to give you all the endings not every single path in the game. There is a list at the end with every single item if you want to know where to find a specific one. You can view your items in the extras option. All 21 endings in the game are listed below. If you want to complete the game 100% you can try and search for new paths by pressing L during dialogs in order to see the route diagram. Make different choices, pick up all the items you can by cleaning and talking and see if you can go in all the paths. Game Mechanics Let's break down the mechanics of the game into 3 important ones. Conversations: Item collecting: Moving around town: Route Guideline Aisaka Taiga Normal End (75 Points) True End (100 Points) Unlocked by completing both Minori's Normal End (70 Points) and Taiga's Normal End (75 Points) Bad End (65 Points) Kushieda Minori Normal End (70 Points) True End (100 points) Unlocked by completing both Minori's Normal End (70 Points) and Taiga's Normal End (75 Points) Bad End (60 Points) Kawashima Ami Normal End (90 Points) True End (100 Points) Unlocked by completing Ami's Normal End (90 Points) Bad End (50 points) Bad End (70 points) Kanou Sakura Requires all endings in the game to be completed When you begin a new game you will be prompted to a choice Choose "Play Bonus Story" and you'll be in this scenario Only End (100 Points) Kanou Sumire Good End (90 Points) Bad End (75 points) Aisaka Taiga and Kushieda Minori Only End (70 Points) Takasu Yasuko Only End (80 points) Koigakubo Yuri Only End ("Too priceless to grade") Kitamura Yuusaku Only End (80 Points) Hisamitsu Noto and Kouji Haruta Only End (85 points) Neutral Ends (65 Points) Unlocked by completing both Minori's Normal End (70 points) and Taiga's Normal End (75 points) Worst End (60 points) Item List Attribution Walkthrough made solely by me Thanks to MottainaiVN for the help in quick checking the walkthrough and helping me add new endings to it and editing it. Also a thank you to all the users who put up with me and helped me grind the game for Sakura's ending. It took quite a while. You are free to use this guide anywhere as long as you credit it properly, I'd appreciate if you ask me though. ---- If you have technical issues with the game go here
