After asking a friend of mine who works for Amazon about website design, I found out that IPB's themes (specifically Gravity Green 2013) is coded via CSS and HTML. I have contacted binaryfail asking if he would be interested in upgrading the theme so it's compatible with IPB 4.0. If he is uninterested, my friend's brother is willing to help out since this is the sort of thing he does for his job. In order to make Gravity Green 2013 compatible for IPB 4.0, I would need the original theme in order to compare its code with a 4.0 theme's code. I have messaged Tay on Skype about this. As for changing the actual code itself, this can be done in any web browser via inspect element. By simply adding the necessary changes in a text editor (Notepad++), the theme can be made compatible for Fuwanovel. This is not a time consuming project. As for the legal issues behind this, the following question is answered on the site for purchasing themes itself: Can I modify the theme as much as I like after purchasing? Yes. Once you purchase a theme, you can modify it as much as you like - however you must keep the copyright intact (unless you purchase copyright removal), and you are not allowed to redistribute the theme even if it has been heavily modified.

Dear Fuwa, Due to the recent update there are certain bugs, strange new systems and features and missing content, most offensive of them all is the missing avatars from the chat. Now i'd like to take this moment in time out of my rioting, specifically looting Tay's underwear drawer and setting Zebhra on fire to tell you that we have been given a crucial responsibility; We must band together and blame Maefdomn for all our troubles and ensure that all blame falls on him for no reason. You pretty much answered the question yourself, the genre is just too niche and probably didn't interest most of SP's primary audience and even the Western audience in general. Although I do think there's an audience for BL games over here, but SP probably doesn't have a huge hold on said audience. I wouldn't extrapolate this as "SP is going downhill from now on" at all, it's just that this title in particular had few chances to succeed. I highly doubt it will have any real impact in how SP operates in the near future as well. The reason they use Kickstarter in the first place is because of the safety net it provides. To them this is just one less product they'll bring over, that's basically their modus operandi in a nutshell.

Are you one of the poor souls who relied on the "My Content" button in IPB 3? If so... despair not! I think we've got some new (possibly better?) replacements: (BEST) Use the "New Content" button (link). You can use the filters on the left to sort content types (forums, blogs, statuses, etc.), how content relates to you (stuff you've posted in, started, etc.), and by time period (since last log-in, yesterday, the last week, month, etc.) (Alternate) For monitoring content you made, you can keep an eye on it by going to your profile > clicking "See My Activity", and then using the sort options on the left-hand side (ex: link to my profile with sorting options)

Removal of scenes cannot be helped on Steam (although I am under the impression that those can be added back by acquiring a different version?), but this is the first I hear about cropped images (actually thought they had made them better...) Furthermore, Sakura sales versus every other VN clearly shows that what Steam users want are inferior products.

I thought the search function had been improved, but it's actually giving me a really hard time. I wanted to look for a previous "anime openings" thread we had and I typed in "anime op" in the search, limiting the search to show topics only, and I get 700+ pages of posts (not threads), most of which have nothing to do with what I searched or just mention the word "anime". I thought maybe it's the term "anime" that's just too general, so I tried something super specific and searched for "salt appreciation" and I get 5 results, 3 of which are, once again, actual posts and not topics from the salt appreciation thread, and one other that's from the Love Live thread that also mentions "salt" once. So basically when you select "topics" as a filter, it's actually lumping together topics AND posts, this makes for searching threads a really big hassle.

BL just doesn't interest me. It may have good characters and story but it wasn't my cup of tea. I don't know how the game is, but if some BL lovers really wanted it I feel for you for not getting this.

Red thingy still a thing~ At this point though i'm beginning to think there's something wrong on my part, and it's not that important anyway~ Occasionally mine goes red, too. Mostly while loading or after taking an action, like posting. Actually, double checking things, I can edit some members (tested with Tiago, OriginalRen and even Tay) but can't edit others (checked with Repanda and XionsProphecy). Might be because they don't have the member title option available under a certain post count which in turn also makes it unavailable for staff to edit now whereas before staff could add member titles to members even if they didn't reach a certain post count.

I thought the notifications broke again, but turns out now whenever multiple people reply to the same thread you're following, you only get one notification: I guess it's kind of neat because it's compact, but it's not really real time now since it only shows the date of the first reply, not the latest. Not sure which is better really.

The [IMG][/IMG] Tag doesn't work properly anymore because whenever you paste in a URL and then press enter for a paragraph, it automatically hyperlinks that URL, causing the image not to embed anymore. I know you can just use the regular "insert media" option, but I'm really used to just typing [IMG=http://exampleurl.jpg] because it's faster, especially on mobile devices.

Oh and since you asked in the OP, yes you do get a notification if you're tagged in a post and have that notification option enabled in your settings: However, regular notifications for when someone comments on a thread you're following are still not working.

Voice acting in Japan is really expensive and the costs of licensing voices are usually separate from the actual game itself because of royalties and other stuff. $20 for full voice acting really isn't an absurd price tag for a game as long, and imo as well voice acted, as G-senjou is. Voice acting is an incredibly valuable asset in a medium like visual novels, there are people who buy games for the voice actors even. The original Japanese version of G-senjou no Maou retails for $60, so you're actually getting a discount either way. (although h-scenes being removed could be the reason here) In fact, most VNs that end up licensed are cheaper than their original Japanese counterparts, people just aren't aware of how pricey PC games are in Japan. As for why the voice acting can't be sold as a separate dlc, it's really anyone's guess, but I'm sure this was a restriction imposed on them by the original publisher, not something Sekai Project decided on their own.

It doesn't have to be horror, I decided to keep them separate. Okay then, I recommend Ookami Kodomo no Ame to Yuki or simply, Wolf Children. Another wonderful work of Mamoru Hosoda.

Let's complain about the fact that they'll be selling voices for 20$, shall we? Let us also disregard the fact the the price of the Visual Novel with voices is fairly reasonable for Visual Novel standards, while the no voice version is actually fairly cheap. The price for full length voiced Visual Novels usually are in the 35-60$ range, so I see absolutely no reason to complain about this. They aren't removing content and selling the removed content at absurd levels. They're removing the content and making a cheaper version instead.

No 'My Content' page, IPB4 = fail. But really not having that page makes things reaaaaally inconvenient.
