(alternatively please inform us of the circumstances surrounding these confessions) The first two are surprisingly boring job-related things. The then-governor of Hawaii thought an ad campaign I worked on had made a mockery of the people and traditions of his state, so he made a big announcement that the team and I were persona non grata there. Just trying to score a few political points, really. Same goes for the second one: a random senator attacked a different campaign I'd directed, and said a few choice words about what an awful person I must be. I do a lot of work for regulated industries — alcohol, tobacco, pharma, finance, etc — if that explains anything. The last one is still a mystery to me. First year of college, there was a late-evening Student Council meeting. (I was VP of the incoming class.) There were about a dozen of us, and we were the last people in the Student Union. At some point, someone says, "Um, do you smell smoke?" And yes, yes we did. Another person heads down the hall to see what's up, then comes back two minutes later, white as a sheet. "Guys, we have to get out now. Go now." We ran downstairs, saw the situation I described — burning building, blocked exits, cut fire hoses — and started looking for a way out. Eventually, we found a back door that was unblocked and only kinda sorta on fire. Someone got that open, we jumped over the flames, and out into safety. The police never figured out who did it or why they targeted us. I suspect a yandere.5 points

Holy fuck lol, that fire thing would've haunted me. Anyway, I just something I hadn't done in too long. I studied. I sat down and studied. It was probably not for even 15 minutes. Maybe it was closer to five. I don't know. I didn't cover much ground. Not sure if all (any) of it even got in my head. I studied. Without anyone telling me or forcing me, I sat down and studied. I hadn't been doing that... for almost a year at this point. Can it be... change?4 points -

The One Easy Tip for Good Type [VN Image Editing]
Helvetica Standard and one other reacted to Darbury for a blog entry
If you’re the image editor for a VN translation, you’ll probably spend at least half your time setting English type. Lots of it. (The other half will be spent laboriously retouching out all the Japanese text you’re about to replace.) Sounds simple on the surface, right? Any pixel monkey can copy/paste from a translation document. But there’s a lot more to good typesetting than just clicking with text tool and banging away on the keyboard. Just like good prose, there’s a certain rhythm to good type. A practiced designer will make numerous small adjustments along the way that allow the to reader glide effortlessly through whatever’s being said. Reading good type should be like driving on a well-paved road. And the one thing all good display type has in common: someone took the time to kern it. The Basics of Kerning I won’t go into a detailed discussion of kerning here — the terminology, the history, the fact that it sounds like something you’d have to pay an escort extra for. If you’re interested in that sort of thing, there are lots of sites out there for you to read. Better yet, buy yourself The Elements of Typographic Style, the best book about type you could ever hope to own. Call it an early Christmas present to yourself. For our purposes, it’s enough to say that kerning means to adjust the empty space between any two adjacent characters, either bringing them closer together or pushing them father apart. And why would you want to do that? Otherwise, you’ll have gaps and crashes in your type that’ll make things feel ever so slightly off. To illustrate, I browsed over to a free font site and downloaded a typeface at random. (There’s a very good reason I did this, rather than using some industry-standard font like Helvetica or Times Roman. I’ll get to that in a minute.) Downloading, downloading … done! Okay, let’s set some type. Here we have a few words set in Font X — name redacted to protect the innocent. At first glance, everything seems fine. But then you look closer and start noticing little things. Like what are these weird gaps between the first two letters of some words? Some are almost as wide as the full space between words. And hey, what about these letters over here that are more or less crashing into each other? That can’t be good, right? Nope. These are problems. They need to be fixed. Kerning Pairs The reason I picked a free font is because most professional typefaces (aka, “ones you pay a lot of money for”) are designed to avoid the majority of such issues. Once a typographer has crafted all the characters for a font, he or she will then spend countless hours specifying “kerning pairs” for it — basically, instructions on how close each letter should sit next to every other letter. (Here’s how close A should be to B, here’s how close A should be to b, etc.) While some letter pairings may look good at default spacing, others will need to pull tighter or push father out to look right. Professional fonts will often contain hundreds of these kerning pairs. It’s mind-numbing work that takes far more time than most amateur typographers are willing to put into a freebie font project. That work still needs to get done, however, but now it’s on your shoulders instead. And, since most fan translation projects use free fonts for budgetary reasons, odds are you’ll have a whole lot of mess to clean up. Congratulations! Thankfully, once you’ve learned how, it’s pretty easy stuff. I work in Photoshop, so I’ll be showing its kerning interface here. If you use another program, it likely has something similar. Here’s Photoshop’s character palette, with the kerning field highlighted: The "0" you see there means there’s no kerning currently being applied to the characters on either side of your text cursor. Make this number negative, and the two letters will start pulling closer together. Make it positive, and they’ll start pushing farther apart. (Photoshop measures this in units 1/1000 ems, but that’s bar trivia you don’t really need to remember. Just know that in most cases, you’ll be entering numbers in the range of -100 to +100.) You can see the results of some sample values below. In Photoshop, you also have the option of “Metrics” (apply whatever kerning pairs the typographer included in the font, if any) or “Optical” (let Photoshop guess what looks good, basically). Play around to get a feel for things, then advance your cursor through your type, letter pair by letter pair, and adjust this value until the two letters are the right distance apart. Rinse and repeat. And what’s the “right” distance? The one that looks right, of course. It’s a subjective thing, and this is where practice and design experience come into play. Like The Sands Through The Hourglass One of the first art directors I worked under offered me this analogy, which I’ve always rather liked: Imagine the negative space between letters as vases lined up in a row. They’re all different shapes, these vases, but you want each to be able to hold an equal amount of sand (or M&Ms or whatever). Kern until your vases all look like they could all hold the same amount. This is an imprecise rule, of course, and you’ll often want to make your “vases” bigger or smaller for visual effect, but it gives a beginner a good baseline approach. So let’s take that approach here. Let’s go through, fix all the obvious gaps and crashes we noted earlier, then make smaller adjustments to even out the text overall. (We call this giving the type an even “color.”) After some quick fiddling, we end up with something like this before and after: It’s subtle, but the "after" type just feels nicer overall. And if your text is a UI element that some poor reader will spend countless hours staring at, you want to make sure it’s as nice as you can manage. Because the longer you spend with something, the more obvious and annoying its flaws become. (Said every roommate ever.) The good news is you don’t need to do this everywhere. It’d be insanity to kern entire sentences or paragraphs of text, especially since the effect is barely perceptible at those point sizes. You only really need to worry about kerning display type — things like buttons, headlines, title screens, etc. If your type is over 16pt, it probably needs to be kerned. The good news is, as you learn the keyboard shortcuts for your particular application/platform, you’ll be able to breeze through a piece of type in a matter of seconds. In fact, a lot of designers find sitting down and kerning type to be mindlessly relaxing, like knitting or playing Minesweeper or making fun of the animations in Fallout 4. Mind Your Gaps So that’s kerning in a nutshell kernel. It’s the absolute easiest way to step up your type game, and it’s quick enough that there’s no reason not to do it. As a bonus, there’s a fun little online game out there to let you practice your kerning skills in hypothetical situations and compare them to a professional designer’s solution. It’s a fun way to kill some time at work while you boost your skills.2 points -

I already blogged my opinions of the Japanese version, for those who are interested... http://forums.fuwanovel.net/blogs/entry/922-kyuuketsu-hime-no-libra/ Generally speaking, it is a VN that manages to be better than I would have thought, considering the company it comes from... enough so that I can honestly recommend it, though it is by no means a kamige. Edit: I'll be clear, it is pretty rare these days for me to actually come out and say 'I recommend it' with a VN after playing it all the way through. I'm a lot more likely to slice into it mercilessly if it fails in any major way. Most of the VNs I have played released in the last three to four months or so have been... lackluster. While that isn't saying much, this VN does leave most of them in the dust, which is a recommendation. This VN is a good one, it is worth playing, and it will be worth buying when it comes out localized, for those interested in its genres. It isn't a huge 'genre-crosser' in terms of appeal, but it does appeal to those who want less nerfed vampires in their VNs (vampires that are dark, violent, etc).2 points

Kyuuketsu Hime no Libra
kingdomcome reacted to Clephas for a blog entry
Mmm... first of all, this is by Onamatope, a company previously known only for its harem-ge from the Mecha-con series. The Mecha-con series fell somewhere into that thin area between a nukige and a moege, and it was actually pretty decent for something in that area of the VN universe. So, keeping that experience in mind, I went into this VN with a more open mind than some people probably would have. Fortunately, this VN wasn't a disappointment, precisely because I wasn't looking for it to be something out of this world. Ok, first... this is a chuunige, in the sense that it follows a format I think most people will be familiar with... this young guy is transformed and forced into a world where he has to fight to survive, with many pretty girls around him... sound familiar? It should. That right there is the basis for about ninety-percent of the entire 'gakuen battle' type chuunige sub-genre. In a few ways, this VN definitely borrows from Draculius, which I still think is the best non-superviolent vampire VN. There are a lot of differences between the two... but they share the commonality of allowing for a coexistence of slice-of-life and comedy with a more serious background story. I'll say it straight out though... there should have been an Iris path. I don't say this because I'm a lolicon (though the protagonist and his ancestors all were, apparently) - as I'm not - but because Iris was, at first, second and third glance, the most interesting female character in the VN. All the heroines had their moments... in fact, I was really, really surprised at the degree to which they managed to balance all the paths and gave the heroines an equal amount of story. Due to the fact that the first half of their paths are the same, you might think Aoi and Lycoris got a bit screwed over, but their events after the split are distinct enough - and long enough - that I can't really say either got screwed over by the scenario designer's choices. In that sense, this VN is something of a triumph of the art of scenario design, which was one of the areas in which Onamatope generally shined in its near-nukige Mecha-con series as well (one of the reasons my impressions of those games were positive). In terms of raw writing... the battle writing is actually some of the better non-Light and non-Propeller I've seen. That isn't to say it is first class, because it isn't. The protagonist is way too much of a hetare when it comes to dealing with his vampirism, and the fact that they chose to make all the heroines, sub-heroines, and the protagonist a bit 'baka' was a bit of an odd choice that had moments where it fell flat. The regular narrative writing is better than you generally see in a nakige (which generally get favored with the best moege-variant writers), and I can honestly say that the pacing didn't throw me off very often, though there were some shaky moments midway and early on. In terms of visuals... this VN definitely needed more combat CGs. I knew they would cut corners on this, as Onamatope is not a company that can afford the kind of budgets for visuals that monsters like Will and Light can. There was a bit too much reuse of the same tachie poses to simulate combat, and the best I can say is that they gave the protagonist a face and a tachie for once, which was a huge plus. ... unfortunately they didn't give him a voice. Perhaps one of the biggest no-nos with a modern chuunige is to fail to give the protagonist a voice. The simple reason for this? Because the protagonist in a chuunige is always intended to be an actual person, rather than a simple self-insert. As such, it is rather ridiculous to give into that particular convention when even using a random staff member would probably satisfy most people. Generally speaking, the music in this game is... generic-sounding in the sense that chuunige music can ever be generic-sounding. That means that the tunes are ones I suspect get sold to every company intending to make this type of VN, with a few twists and changes in the rhythm to make them sound different to the ears of someone who doesn't listen. On the positive side, there is no point in this VN where I felt like the music was misused, which is a far bigger flaw that simply reusing music tracks from other games. Overall, what can those of you looking forward to the localization look forward to? I'd say that if you want some slice-of-life with vampires merged with a low-level chuunige story, this will definitely be something to look forward to. On the other hand, fans of more serious chuunige will not be satisfied by this, as the game is just to light in the slice-of-life scenes and the protagonist is a bit too much of a near-hetare when it comes to the vampire issues.1 point -

So, I'm finishing up Katawa Shoujo and making myself go through the painful process of getting the "bad" endings...which is a drag. So far, I have only treated myself to a pair of VNs like Invisible Apartment, Sakura Swim Club, and If My Heart Had Wings. Katawa Shoujo and IMHHW are similar cause they have those disabled girl charms to make life interesting. And yes, I'm fairly new and so much now in-love with VNs. I would highly appreciate if anyone could recommend any VN like Katawa and IMHHW, cause those two have really done a number on my heart. Paid or free, it doesn't matter(though more to the free as of now). Thank you in advance my fellow VN lovers! Oh, just an edit: I don't want those VNs with gore and such, would be a waste since I'm more into like Katawa. FURTHERMORE...if we're talking about "intimate moments"...no funny business, like that weird bdsm thing or those masochist things..creepy already, I don't want anything related to that. In short...love scenes are strictly like or similar to Katawa or Sakura or IMHHW. Lol sorry if it's a bit demanding, that's just my preference.1 point

oh yeah, I know @Deep Blue read the recently, I have it stalled for some reason (I have a bad habbit of being hyped for a lot of vns at the same time, so rarely I cant decide which one I actually wanna stick to :P) I can say without a doubt that is garbage, coming from a company that only makes nukige it wasnt something strange to expect, the MC is a piece of garbage, there is just barely any voice acting, lot and lots of sex scenes that take forever then there is him gathering supplies and doing the same things or surfing the web doing stupid things. Hidden Content The good thing is that is really short like 13k of lines so yeah it wont take much to read Something good about the novel? Hidden Content I thought I stumbled upon some interesting material for once...but if its just a bunch of sex, then i might as well not waste any time on it i was expecting something cool with some good story since a zombie Apocalypse is usually pretty awesome if you somehow survive the initial outbreak, was expecting guns, lots of guns. I was sorta hoping it wouldn't be the sort of Highschool of the dead crap where its a total boobfest, but the CG looked pretty good, the one zombie with a machete.i'll read and determine if its good or not. if you can't complain about the ending, at least you can complain about everything else.1 point

G-senjou no Maou LIVE on Steam
Darklord Rooke reacted to Narcosis for a topic
A lot of the more modern games pack full-sized art assets, that are later software-downscaled within the game to fit into 16:9 HD standard, which became the most commonplace. A lot of games boost large art for panning/zooming purposes. None of the art can be actually considered high resolution, until it's at least 1920x1080 run natively in 1080p. Most games still use 720p with assets that are sometimes a slightly bigger increment to force more crisp art ingame, depending on downscaling algorithms. If anything, most of the games get upscaled to fit 1080p, which results in blury graphics. If you're talking about running the game in 5:4/4:3 within 16:9, it's still going to get downsampled. 720p vs 1100x900 doesn't sound any different, except for the fact you'll get a lot smaller graphics in overall compared to what they did and it'll definately lose some level of detail in the process. The issue with Maou is that it wasn't ever made with modern resolution standards in mind. The original art assets were also preety small, which succesfully negates any chances of obtaining crisp looking, high resolution art for use with 1080p. In other words, the artists would have to literally recreate the whole art from scratch using current content. It's a LOT of work, that's why they propably dropped it; it's highly possible the people responsible for it do not even have the access to the original assets anymore, which happens often with games developed many years ago... and results in shitty renewal editions.1 point -
Keep in mind that this is after they shaved like $60k off the goal. According to what the project manager said on reddit, they shifted some money around from some currently unannounced future projects in order to lower Narcissu's goal and if they only barely reach the goal then those other projects might be stretched a little thin (but he said that Narcissu itself is perfectly safe, that funding is set in stone). I think they'll probably reach the goal, but they probably aren't getting the level of overfunding they hoped they would get. I'm guessing they'll probably get to about $55,000 with 5 days to go and at that point, projects almost never fail at that level of funding. There's a certain threshold where backer psychology changes and they feel obligated to try to push an almost-funded project past the finish line before it's too late. I think they can get that last $20,000 in the last few days. But pretty much nothing beyond that.1 point

CAVE shmups coming to PC/Steam
Narcosis reacted to KuroganeHomura for a topic
Yeah, it finally happened. Maybe if the games do well enough on Steam, we'll actually see Cave returning to producing something other than mobile games, too. For the time being, playing Mushihime on something other than a crappy PS2 emulator or MAME is pretty nice. Hope we'll see a port of SDOJ sooner or later. Edit: Incidentally, if anyone who's curious about shmups is reading this, the novice mode of Mushihime seems like a pretty good introduction to the genre. Novice original in particular should be pretty easy to 1cc with a bit of practice even if you haven't played any other shmups before. Granted, if you go from novice to normal, the difficulty jump is anything but gentle. Arrange might be nice, too, although the auto-bomb feature is a bit of a double-edged sword if you get too used to it. Still, if you watch a bit of the gameplay and think it's interesting, this game is probably for you.1 point -

Actually its pretty worrying that they are as close to finishing it as they are. It's supposed to be coming out later this month and considering the how huge Clannad is it certainly doesn't bode well for the quality of the translation. It's going to be a massive improvement over the original TL no doubt but there's pretty big risk of a rush job.1 point

Something that really gets under my skin with SP is how they put basically no work into 80% of their releases, instead they just take a previous fan translation, maybe change the CG's like they did with G-Senjou, censor it, and then put it up for sale. I know that they have every right to take the fan TL's and use them for their releases, but the fact that they are taking all these fan TL groups hard work and using it to make a profit just bothers me on a moral level. Of course they do don't this with absolutely everything, see..Clannad (which I still don't know how they haven't finished it yet, are they in an endless circlejerk or something?). Edit: Also, this doesn't apply to SP alone, this applies to any company that does this.1 point

Hmmm... This is a hard one. I can imagine if SP did not exist, most of these titles would never be sold in the Western market. A decent version is better than nothing? Though since they're already doing it they might as well do it well. Did we even determine if it's SP fault, I thought Akabeisoft2 was the one who decides if it's cropped or not? So did you literally say we must support anything translated even if the game is broken to the level like my heart have wings because if we don't and it's flopped then no more translated games from the developer? Are you serious? Nope, I didn't say that. I said a decent version. For me, if the only issue is a cropped image, so be it. I can live with that. I don't understand why everyone is so passionate to argue here. It's not like we're going to change anything. Go talk with SP. The more we just let these garbage quality vns get through, the more companies just do whatever they want without caring what the customers think. To get rid of this arrogant/baseless attitude of developers, we need to give them all the spite and piece of our minds until they get ear cancer and not buy their products if they continue to release half finished trash, terrible translation, many cut/censored content, and all other things they could do wrong to visual novels.1 point -

Well, if you have read this VN already and you really liked it/love it I don't see a point why you shouldn't buy it to support dev/pub and get more of their titles o_O? G-Senjou is still one of the best titles for people starting VN journey, so SP decided to license it and upgrade and finally release on Steam(and hopefully off-steam too) If there will be Denpa release, I'll buy 18+ version for sure, if there will be some kind of patch to Steam release version which unlocks H-Scenes, and it'll be released at later date without game being on discount, I'll probably won't buy it then, I'll wait for another sale. I still think that hardcore VN fans shouldn't go up with all this cutting h-scenes/steam release/all-ages version/psvita ports bullshit, cause it's like giving in. Some say he isn't real, that he is simply a spirit sent from Japan to tease the West with VNs. Others say he is a communist sleeper agent, set on turning otakus into Marxists to lead the People's Revolution. And still others say he is a med student who got bitched out by a just Colombian doctor when he attempted to commandeer his ornately decorated office. I'm here to tell you, Tay is real. As real as the dirt beneath your feet, but not as real as firecat's ability to predict the future. Let us, together, go down the road that is Tay's past. Enter, the untold Tay Story. Tay was born in 1321 in the great salt flats of Utah. For an adult, living in the salt flats of Utah is a feat, but for a baby, it is basically a death sentence. Baby Tay defied the odds, not only surviving the salt flats, but thriving in them. The salt fueled him, gave him strength and power. When he emerged from the salt flats in 1322, he was a 7 foot tall hunk of a baby. Despite appearing god-like, with a finely sculpted body (that Michelangelo would later attempt to immortalize in his Statue of David), 7 foot baby Tay did not know how to live among others. So for 691 years, Tay remained in hiding, only venturing out to find new reading materials. One day, after traversing the Pacific Ocean, Tay came upon a mythical land, known as Japan. Perhaps it was Fate that led him to this moment. When he returned home, Tay knew what he had to do. At the same time, ɐıןɐɹʇsnɐ uı, a young woman, who too had been touched (appropriately) by Japan, began work on a temple that she called Fuwanovel. Fuwanovel, at the time was ugly, and in need of great help. Tay, with his supernatural hearing, heard about Fuwanovel, and quickly ran to ɐıןɐɹʇsnɐ to help. This, is when Tay became the being we speak legend of today. One day in ɐıןɐɹʇsnɐ, Tay came upon a group of girls. One was missing her legs, another her arms, another was just annoying as fuck, and the other was also annoying as fuck but didn't talk but was somehow even more annoying than the one that did talk. Tay was moved by this, (the author of this biography would like to note that, regarding himself, he was not moved by this and thought this was shit.) and decided to become a doktor to help those stupid ass girls. To do this though, he had to go through many trials. Among them, an attack from Gangamamer and the Pulltop Yakuza (which will be detailed in the prequel entry to this at a later date). Tay's soul was drained, but he continued marching on, even as he was abandoned by those around him. He doktor'd Fuwanovel into good health, and replaced the old, creaking parts with new, broken as fuck creaking parts. But someone, somewhere was lurking, waiting for their moment to strike. This strike, would shake the foundations of Fuwanovel to its core, and leave it in ruins. Would 7 foot baby Tay rise up to the challenge? Or would he fall into despair? Or would he just say fuck it and quit like another Fuwa Leader did? Find out next time!1 point -

All you need is arc_conv from w8m. Version from that github is fine: https://github.com/GAEndGears/majiro-tools/blob/master/arc_conv.7z?raw=true To unpack .arc (I would assume you use update.arc) type in console: arc_conv update.arc Folder update.arc~ would be created. Copy one of the files from this folder to the folder above (copy nard00.mjo for ex). To convert file to text format type (I use nard00.mjo as example): text_conv majiro nard00.mjo > nard00.txt After you're done with .txt changes, to pack back to .mjo type: text_conv majiro nard00.mjo nard00_.mjo < nard00.txt. This will create file nard00_.mjo in same folder (also initial nard00.mjo file should be present! do not delete it). After that copy that file nard00_.mjo to update.arc~ folder, delete old nard00.mjo and rename it to nard00.mjo (e.g. replace old nard00.mjo with newly created) and pack it back to update.arc using this: arc_conv.exe --pack majiro update.arc~ update.arc 2 (notice 2 - that's majiro format version, in your update.arc it was V2, so that's why I put 2 here). You should get newly created update.arc.1 point

G-senjou no Maou LIVE on Steam

Call it as you want, I will keep supporting companies like Mikandi, (I supported WAS back then because it was a doujin game like i did with many others like world end, tokyo dark, vision of aurora, millia, no one but you etc etc) Why should I support something I don't believe in? That every single time they need to answer something important their response is "Due to legal issues..." i'm not just talking about g-senjou no mou or was, this is the first time I see a company hiding behind legal stuff so much. Who the hell are they working for the NSA? Isn't sekai suppose to deal with this kind of issues? and if the companies they are dealing with are so bad why do they work for them in the first place? shouldn't they warn the people who are going to support them about it? "hey this is a risky thing to support, the company X put many restrictions on us and we wont be able to share anything with you till the product is released"1 point -

Whenever I see tennis courts my heart aches

It's true, it's true, I must confess. I feel an inexplicable yearning every time I see them. Hi, I'm ara and I'm mostly dumb, but hang in there with me, okay? I've been on fuwa for well over a year and now over 1000 posts. It's been pretty great and I've met a good number of people I very much enjoyed talking to. I made a lot of friends and stopped talking to just about as many, sadly. But the reason I post is because I actually want to talk about myself and my hopes and ambitions. I'd really appreciate it if you read my post with an open mind. One of my greatest passions is understanding and appreciating stories (and characters). These things that people write, draw, animate, or film. And I'm sure there are a number of other ways of storytelling, but for me, the stories I read about in books, manga, and anime seem to hold a special place in my heart. And the thing is that I don't think anyone really sees things the way I do a lot of the time. I won't get ahead of myself and tell you guys about how special I am and how I have this great vision or whatever, but there's definitely something different in the way everyone experiences stories, right? I believe a lot of that comes from contexts and from the reader's willingness to open their heart to the story. I care about many stories and I care about them in ways that I don't see people talking about. I care about facets of them that are often left undiscussed and it pains me every time I see someone bash something I love when it seems to me that they misunderstood "the really interesting part" or failed to appreciate the enjoyable uniqueness of the story. What I want to do is try to share my feelings with other people. I want other people to understand the way I feel and look at things with the same caring eyes that I do. I want to share with people the stories that I love and the things I love about them. Whether or not you may disagree, I think something wonderful can come from trying to transcend the singular context with which you read a story and see it in a new light. Or maybe it's just not very quality, but good in very specific and unique respects. That's cool too, right!? People, appreciate these things!! So I've been musing for a while. "I spend too much time talking to people online about nothing" "But you like talking to people, you like connecting and fangirling over things with people and sharing your passions" and thoughts like these, although recently they've been tainted with this general cynicism about online relationships. Yea, yea. Normal stuff. Sorry I'm not a hilarious breath of fresh air. But what occurred to me is that I should try to write. Actually write for other people as much as for myself, to try to build a bridge between their understanding of stories and my own, and hopefully get people to love some of the things I do for the reasons I do. So I want to take my 1000th-ish post time in the spotlight to say two things. 1. If you're looking for someone to talk to or feel lonely or want a friend or someone to bash ur fookin' 'ead in, I'll try to be a mate for ya. You can message me on fuwa or add me on skype or whatever you want and we can spend all the day chatting idly about why $0$ is a hilarious nickname for s0s or whatever garbage comes up. 2. I'm planning on writing something that may be called postviews or something... Thoughts on stories I've read and things that I think other people might have something to gain in thinking about. I think I'll do this as a blog function or something but I'm not entirely sure. The process might end up being too formal for my fool-ass self, but I want to at least bring it up in the hopes that someone cares and maybe we can talk about stories. Because I don't like sitting around thinking about why I love this and that so much without having anyone to share it with. Life is better spent with a friend. So, I hope you've enjoyed a glimpse into my mind as I post this awkward post with a fittingly awkward title that only makes sense if you really really think about it. I swear I'm only a little crazy! But I hope that I can share some of my craziness with you guys in the future. It's been a pleasure being on fuwa, but I seriously need an outlet for all of my thoughts and I think people are getting tired of my incomprehensible explanations. (Shoutout to HMN who won't read this but who is super amazing) Also this thread will function as an AMA for anyone that wants to ask pretty much anything or just talk about things. Idk! I didn't think that hard about this post, okay? gosh. Though I expect I scared most of you off with the text above.1 point
