    Hentai

So here's a somewhat funny and somewhat hentai related story that happened today. Because I caught an earlier bus, there was still no one from my class around the college classroom. Since I was sitting in an empty hallway, I figured it wouldn't hurt to visit Sad Panda on my tablet and check on some hentai manga. >Enter exhentai URL and get a "Your IP has been temporarly banned for opening too many tabs. Your ban will expire in 1 hour and 45 minutes" >Tfw I only opened a single tab and this never happened before at home. >Realize I'm using the college's wi-fi so the IP address would be the college's IP address >Mfw I realize there was enough people in my college looking at 2D porn at the same time to warrant a temp ban on Sad Panda

  4. I recently put up a blog post about how 2015 is devoid of anything I can honestly put in a VN Hall of Fame... but that doesn't mean there aren't any VNs worth playing from 2015. However, the sheer amount of dross in a given year's releases means that figuring out what VNs are worth your time is a serious chore. I chose to start with 2014 and move into 2015 (I'll update this list after December's VN of the Month is over), as I don't have the energy to sift through 2011-2013 right now, lol. Understand, these are opinions based on my own experience, and these recommendations for those who basically 'can't bring themselves to play the old stuff', so I'm restricting it to post-2010 releases, as that was when the current styles began to emerge. For now... 2014 and 2015. 2012 Gun Knight Girl (also known as Yandere and Mechs Festival, for those in the know) Ore to 5-nin no Yome wa Raburabu na no wa, Mirai kara Kita Aka-chan no Okage ni Chigainai! (yes, this is a harem-ge, but it is also immensely amusing and generally fun to read) Yaneura no Kanojo (also known as Konakana 2... but unlike its predecessor, it isn't an utsuge and it is focused entirely on the vampire issue) Aete Mushisuru, Kimi to no Mirai Kono Sekai no Mukou de (short and sweet nakige) Otome ga Tsumugu Koi no Canvas (this and its fandisc... one of the year's kamige and one of the three best trap protagonist VNs ever) Witch's Garden Chuuning Lover Sinclient Re:Birth Colony Shukufuku no Kane no Oto wa, Sakurairo no Kaze to Tomo ni (I probably need to update my vote on this one, because it is better than most of the others I rated below an 8...) Tsuki ni Yorisou, Otome no Sahou (one of the 'three tops' of the trap protagonist sub-genre, it only falls behind Canvas because of production values and the fact that it isn't complete without the patch from the sequel) Tsujidou-san no Junai Road (this one I didn't like the first time I tried it, but it grew on me the second time, despite not liking the protagonist) Zero Infinity Devil of Maxwell (I rated this one harshly, mostly because I saw how it was trying to imitate Dies Irae, but it is an immensely enjoyable experience the first time around) Tsukumo no Kanade (has some problems, not the least of which the confusion of so many endings and the abominable h-scenes, but it is enjoyable otherwise) Tsuisou no Augment (hilarious and has great drama... makes me wonder why this company didn't capitalize on the success and start pumping out VNs like crazy) Naka no Hito Nado Nai! (made by the same people who did My Girlfriend is the President, it uses the same setting and has a similar atmosphere) Tokyo Babel (a kamige. This is slated for translation by Mangagamer and it is one of the few projects they've taken on that I approve of without reservation... and it is also non-ero) Sakura, Sakimashita (the first VN I did for my Fuwablog, you can check the earliest posts if you want my thoughts on it) Sei Monmusu Gakuen (if you can get past the fact that the heroines are monsters, this is an immensely fun VN) Rose Guns Days (for those who care what I think, I didn't really want to include this, because I hate Ryuukishi) Sousei Kitan Aerial (It is compared to Muv-luv Alternative, but it is a lot different thematically and actually has a protagonist who feels like a human being... albeit a somewhat hetare-ish one at times) TIny Dungeon Brave or Slave (conclusion of the four-VN main series, wraps up the main plotline) Furuiro Meikyuu Rondo (horror/mystery/supernatural VN) Owaru Sekai to Birthday (Horror/apocalypse type) 1/2 Summer (nakige) Dolphin Divers (AXL doing what it does best) Erect! (great borderline charage/nukige) Fortissimo EXS//Akkord:Nachsten Phase (chuunige) Gurenka (chuunige) Namima no Kuni no Faust (kinetic novel, social commentary, dystopia) Kamigakari Cross Heart! Grand Libra Academy (despite having one of the weirdest concepts) Shiawase Kazoku-bu Harumade, Kururu (mindfuck, rapid extreme genre change) Hyouka no Mau Sora ni Monobeno Kouyoku no Soleil -vii’s World- (like everything from this series and this company, it will be hit and miss depending on your tastes) Soukoku no Arterial (Eushully, card-based rpg/VN) Dracu-Riot Venus Blood Frontier (if you can get past the tentacle rape) Strawberry Feels Grisaia no Meiikyuu Eiyuu Senki Hatsuyuki Sakura '&' - Sora no Mukou de Sakimasu you ni (think if you removed the darkest parts of Ruitomo) Shinigami no Testament (chuunige) Kaminoyu (no human heroines, an iyashikei VN) Gaku Ou Majikoi S (great sequel, should have stopped here, because there didn't need to be anymore after this) 2013 Sanzen Sekai Yuugi (otomege) Timepiece Ensemble Electro Arms Izayoi no Fortuna Monobeno Happy End Baldr Sky Zero (the first one) Cocoro@Function Ichiban Janakya Dame Desu Ka? 5. I registered here just so I could post on this thread. This game is AMAZING and it completely blew me away. Its quite possibly the best VN I've ever played. I got stuck for a while but managed to complete the true route. Below are the choices you need to make to see the true ending. Prepare to get mind fucked. *Spoilers* The story continues for a while after this and all other routes will begin to make sense after you see the true ending. If I made any mistakes please tell me and I will fix this posts. As I mentioned earlier, I may skipped over some choices

  7. As last year, I'm in the mood to spread holiday cheer to everyone, so y'all better put a damn Santa hat either on your avatars or up your arses, because I'll ensure one of the two. "But it's still November!" Shut up, it's December in China and India right now, and hella people live there who'd be grateful if their avatars had Santa hats. With that out of the way, here's how shizzle works: Choose from the image below a hat that you believe would go well on your avatar; they have corresponding numbers for convenience.I'll put it on your avatar with my super advanced magical MS Paint etc. skills. You go on your merry way and spread the holiday cheer all over, mercilessly impregnating the masses with your thick load of Christmas. Notate Bene: If my Santa hats aren't cool enough for you and you found a better one in your Google Images porn searches, then I can do that one as well, but make sure it's as simple as those above.Santa hats often don't fit perfectly into one's avatar because the heads of characters tend to be around the very top, causing the hat to be cut off, as in mine. If you think your avatar will be problematic in that regard, I suggest choosing a hat that looks more likely to fit. For example, you may choose 2 instead of 11 in the above image..gif avatars are hard to do, so I'll only accommodate to those people if you write a 10-haiku poem about cantaloupe. The full-blown Santa outfit in my avatar took quite a while, and I can't really do it for everyone. Ain't nobody got time for that. However, if you have a reasonable special request, then go ahead. Also, feel free to put the above Santa hats on your avatars yourself if you feel like it; I ain't got a copyright claim on them. And I hope nobody else does.

  8. This is the newest VN by Ensemble, a subsidiary of Will which has previously specialized in 'ojousama-ge' (VNs where most or all the heroines - and sometimes the protagonist as well - are from a wealthy background). This VN takes a slightly different tack than the company's previous games... probably because of the effects of the mediocrity that was Golden Marriage and the kusoge that was Koi no Aria (incidentally, they also split off another subsidiary that specializes in ojousama-nukige, lol). The protagonist of this VN is pretty capable, and this is generally visible from the beginning. He is intelligent, physically excellent, and he is generally considered handsome by the girls of his school and the neighboring school, Shiraha. Shiraha and the protagonist's school are merging as a result of the falling number of children, and that is an important element of the overall story. One thing I found interesting about this VN is that it presents so many varying perspectives about the school merging while also pursuing the heroine paths. Each heroine is not only a strong character in and of themselves, they also represent a demographic or point of view that has something to say about the merging. As a side-note in a surprisingly good VN, I felt that the writer and scenario designer got his point across nicely. This VN splits off really, really early... meaning most of the VN is made up of the heroine routes. Unlike Koi no Aria, where content in general was cut and things felt truncated, this actually works out very well, giving the heroines plenty of character development and adding a lot of depth to their personal stories. Of course, there are a lot of minor issues that take away somewhat from the VN's quality... the fact that Ensemble decided not to include voices for the majority of the non-main characters probably says a lot more about the game's budget constraints than I really wanted to know, seeing as they have, in the past, voiced most of the generic characters in their VNs. Overall, this VN is a pretty solid charage with a very well-represented theme and deep character development. I can honestly recommend this to someone looking for a new charage to play whose protagonist isn't a nameless loser. Edit: Sorry this was a bit short, for all that I was praising it. I'm in a lot of pain right now, so I honestly don't have the energy for a long post. For those interested in the imouto, Ichika, her 'path' is basically a short 'ah, I just realized I loved you! Let's have sex' path, so it is mostly for those who want some H-action with the adorable imouto. Saori's path follows one of the ojousama patterns, and Hiyori's follows another. In each case, there is enough variation and twists on the theme that they can be said to be distinctive, so don't worry that either path will be a rehash of the exact same pattern with a heroine from another VN. Yukie is your 'ecchi oneesan' heroine... an archetype that is getting rarer and rarer these days. Her path's drama is centered around the warped way in which they get close to one another, and more emphasis is placed on the school events than in the other paths. Mio's path focuses on the complicated emotions that come up with the loss of her school (she's a Shiraha student), as well as the conflicts that are born of those feelings. Akane's path is focused on club activities and is probably the most straightforward of all the paths (also the weakest of the main heroine paths). As I said above, it was pretty interesting how they wove the VN as a whole together by using the heroine routes as perspectives on the same issue, with no heroine route giving the same precise perspective.

  9. Continuing my adventure through the meme murder simulator, Chaos;Child. Done with three chapters so far - they're about the same length as the Chaos;Head chapters, so they're on the longer side. So far, my impressions are kind of mixed. While I think Chaos;Head had a much stronger start when it comes to the suspense and intrigue, most of that comes from the main characteer being a total piece of shit. I loved that about Chaos;Head, and I loved even more how the VN wasn't afraid to straight out make the MC fuck up multiple times like the loser that he was. Now, Chaos;Child doesn't really do this - while the MC still is on the introverted side, there is the main cast that he keeps interacting with, ranging from his friends to family. This creates an entirely different dynamic to the story, focusing more on the interpersonal drama and the fear of getting others involved rather than fear of danger. This leads to a relatively slower pace than Chaos;Head, but at the same time I feel like the VN shows you much more (without really making anything clear) - the author likes to jump between characters quite a lot, even if it is someone completely random, there just to show a (seemingly) unrelated scene. That said I wouldn't say it is worse than C;H, just quite different. The greatly improved prose helps a lot, and some of that creativity also seems to carry over to the murder cases themselves, and the characters in general feeling more complex and fleshed out in this stage of the VN already. I'm enjoying it a lot so far, can't wait to read more.

  12. Totally triple vn'ing at the moment, got tired of both TtT and Aselia after around two days of each continuously, so I put them down and picked up Cartagra like I said I would. only on the beginning of the third day so far, like 3 hours I guess? but this story is really fun. Kazune being really energetic with everything she does is somewhat fun, and Rin is just hilariously entertaining. So far Rin is top tier relationship material for me, if we are considering real life. Nana totally acts like me in every respect, and I would probably become fast friends with her. I was laughing at how she described the murders in her report. The best moment I had come across so far just happened with Rin on the third day. Seeing Kazune speechless and her face slowly change was incredible. I kind of really enjoyed how they force you to manually progress through those expressions, it's kind of like the main character was watching something in slow motion. A really great use of mechanics of the medium.

  13. Going to start reading sayonara wo oshiete about clannad, the Yukine part in the anime was hilarious, when tomoya starts punching the guy and they spent a whole day punching each other....I don't know who wrote that shit but it was atrocious xD also nothing like that happens in the vn I don't know why they did that in the first place...

  14. Making good progress in Clannad. Kyou, Ryou, Misae, Fuko, and Koumura routes are all done, getting through Yukine's. There's nothing like a Key VN, especially a moderately older one like Clannad (or god forbid Kanon) to make me appreciate KyoAni's work. Seriously, both Kanon and Clannad look pretty bad at times, whereas the KyoAni anime adaptations reliably look amazing. The character art, especially, really suffers. At least they are consistently getting better (LB! looks better than Clannad, and Rewrite looks much better than LB!). Still, it's one of many, many reasons that I'm glad Clannad has no H-scenes (I definitely only ever regretted seeing any of the H-scenes in Kanon...). That said, I was surprised to see that Yukine is actually kind of cute in the VN - in the anime adaptation, she's substantially less cute than the other girls, but something about her facial expressions really works in the VN. So, there's at least one point for Itaru Hinoue there. Anyway, thankfully, for me the game is all about characters, plot, and the resulting feels, and Clannad is totally delivering on that front. In spite of Fuko herself, Fuko's route earned a lot of tears, as did Misae's. Despite Kyou being obvious best girl, surprisingly, her route didn't really do much for me - I think it was dragged out a bit too much. Kyou's route did provide one of the few opportunities for Sunohara (best sidekick ever) to shine do anything even remotely approaching good, though, so I do at least appreciate it for that.

  25. I'm playing Kansen series atm. I think this is the only vn in existence with a theme of survival horror from sex-crazed "zombies" (I'm a huge Walking Dead fan too). I saw SPEED, the developer of this game selling this whole series in a bundle for quite a generous price so I bought it. It has 5 games and a bonus disc (not sure if this is a fandisc) that are 30+ hour worth of gameplay each, so it might take me a month or so to finish these. I'm only on the first game but so far it's quite engaging; impressive being almost 10 years old. I love all the countless bad ends you can get on it as well as the "Aspect Switching" (perspective switching) and flow charts to guide you if you are about to approach a grim and merciless gangbang from sex-crazed "zombies" (they aren't exactly dead, just infected). Yes even the male protagonist gets gangbanged by countless of infected sex crazed girls too. It has a number of NTR scenes and lots of group sex which were definitely more than enough to make me instant buy the series.

  33. Unfortunately, Kyou suffers from "best girl and worst route" syndrome. It's even more common (and arguably even more frustrating) than "best girl and no route" syndrome. Regarding typos: I don't have data, but my gut feel says Sekai Project is even worse than the other major English publishers about them... I haven't hit the particular problem in Yukine's route mentioned above, but I stopped counting at about half a dozen when I was maybe two hours into the common route my first time through. If I'd been tallying them up, I expect I would be above 30 typos already (mostly grammatical mistakes, especially missing short words, but even a few very rare spelling errors that somehow got past a spellchecker), and I've only finished 4 routes so far. As much as people like to knock Ixrec's work, all the Amaterasu translations I've played so far (Sekien no Inganock, Comyu, and Rewrite) are just way, way higher quality on this front than anything officially released that I've ever read. While I fully understand that proofreading / copy editing is the last, least part of a translation project, I nonetheless wish these guys would find a way to do a better job of it, because it pulls me out of the immersion every damn time.

  35. Confession: I am the worst friend ever. I just supported my friend buying computer parts on sale with the justification that he can return it within 15 days, and that tomorrow we can talk about the decisions we just made tonight. He asked me to talk him out of it, and all I could come up with was "how much do you really want it?". The parts in question were a motherboard and the i7 4790k, which is the best upgrade he can get for his computer at the moment without buying entirely new parts. Knowing this, I couldn't come up with a good reason for him not to buy it when it is on sale. Moral of the story: only ask me to talk you out of something if I actually am against it, otherwise I'm more liable to support you instead.

A shopping bag with perfumes and chocolate in it was stolen after my dad forgot to pick it up after opening a briefcase to check something out, he got the security footage etc. viewed- shit cost me so much time I missed the initial due date from a major English assignment (20 percent reduction daily after due date, I can recover that loss, my English is great).
