Kindred Spirits on the Roof - First Steam Release Uncensored
Templarseeker and 4 others reacted to Good_Haro for a topic
I'd encourage you to take a look at things we've actually posted about the game again if you seriously think that's how we've been presenting it. Perhaps you would care to check out the game's promotional site or try the demo. As much as it'd make my job easier we unfortunately can't control how the press decides to spin things. Anyone expecting a nukige or anything close to one is going to be sorely disappointed.5 points -

Therefore I ask that you recommend him anything that has interesting characters in your opinion that feature heterochromia as a character feature.4 points -

Let me talk a little about :miyako:
Funyarinpa and 2 others reacted to TexasDice for a topic
The constant feeding of my ungrounded narcissism aside, I am really flattered that so many of you guys seem to like so much. I've been complimented about this emoticon in private and publicly, so I thought it might be a good idea to show you guys how it came into being. First things first, I am not a professional photoshop artist/graphics guy. The program I'm using is called Paint.net, is freeware and I probably couldn't even use photoshop if someone gave it to me. The only reason my emoticons don't look like shit, is because scaling down makes everything look better. Now that this is out of the way, I would like to shed some light on the inspiration behind As almost everyone might know, the character depicted in is Shiina Miyako, from the Maji de Watashi ni Koishinasai! Series. The emoticon however, was not taken from the Visual Novel, but from it's lesser known Anime Adaptation. I will be upfront here; the Majikoi anime is pretty bad and shouldn't be seen anything more than fanservice, since the art quality as well as the fact that they gathered up all the original voices are the only things worth watching it for. The origin of however, is from the sole episode which I actually love; Episode 3. The opening gag of that episode was hilariously funny and made me fall out of my chair. If someone out there has read Majikoi, I highly recommend watching Episode 3 of the anime. Anyway, the scene I captured to make the emoticon happens during dinner or breakfast or some other kind of meal, I don't remember. The character of Miyako tries to put spicy sauce on Yamato's (the protagonist) food, explaining it's deadly nature in detail. During that scene, the artstyle changes from into the "super deformed"-style, not uncommon for anime humour. I actually wanted to make this emoticon for quite a while, but was too lazy up until the contest. (´・ω・`) Enough going off-topic, here is a snapshot to simply show it to y'all: So, how did I do it? First things first, I cropped Miyako's body out of the scene. Despite fully knowing that I would cut out the entire body later on, I made sure to get the entire thing anyway, just in case someone accuses me of cutting corners. Next, I did the same thing I did with all of my other emoticons ( should be the most famous one) ; I cut out the mouth and made it bigger. Most of the time, facial expressions get lost whenever the picture gets scaled down to the extremely limiting 30x30 resolution and making the mouth bigger counteracts that severely. Finally, I started to crop the image. I actually redo this step the most and make an empty post with the uploaded picture on Fuwa, to compare how the face aligns next to the old Fuwa emoticons. I think I ended up making cut deeper a total of 16 times. Here are the examples that were kept for testing and comparing: So why did I explain all of this stuff that everyone in possession of usuable hands could google? To teach my lesson; I guess. Whether or not it was the reason of it's acceptance, the thing I had in mind from the very beginning, was that I wanted to blend in with the other Fuwa Emoticons. No matter how great your emoticon is, it shouldn't stick out like a sore thumb or people will think of it as alien and not use it. Especially if it's a new emoticon. That would be all. Everyone can dislike, unfollow and report this topic as spam.3 points -

Last but not the least, we dont need impatient brats rushing and bugging our dedicated fantranslators. Yeah stop putting them on the clock and spamming the forums with threads about when they will finish. They will finish whenever they feel like it, so the least we can do as freeloaders is be patient.3 points -

Hi everyone, I've been reading stuff on Fuwa for a while now but never actually participated so I decided it was about time to actually create an account. I'm big fan nakige like Little Busters and Grisaia no Kajitsu and also occasionally lighter stuff like Majikoi. Currently I'm reading Kamadori Alchemy Meister and I'm really enjoying it, though it has enough game play that I'm not sure if that really counts as a VN. Oh, also I do video reviews for VN's and LN's on YouTube as a hobby and I'd love to get some feedback on my work Cheers, Belmakor19 PS: If I break any forum rules please let me know. I'm new to actually posting stuff in threads instead of just reading them so I'm sure I'll make some mistakes2 points -

Man, I had no motivation to translate this week, yet somehow I got almost 30 kB of text squeezed out, so progress wasn't that miniscule, at the very least. Anyways, this week basically went with only translating h-scenes, which isn't a suprise, but yeah. Honestly, at this point I have no problems translating them, and they are going swimmingly at this point, so I think translating them should be a little faster. But here's the update: ----------------------------------------------------- Week 4: 171,8 kB/710 kB (24,2%) ----------------------------------------------------- We're about 1/4 of the way there! Till next Saturday! - Arcadeotic2 points -

Windows 10 Visual Novel Compatiblity
Tyr and one other reacted to Suzu Fanatic for a topic
"But if we have nothing to hide, there's no reason to be worried about our privacy" argues some businesses such as google - and even some consumers that apparently live like saints. I might buy the professional version eventually, once the games I play demand DX12 (professional, becuase I've read you have alot more control on the privacy stuff) - but otherwise, I completely gutted and removed all traces of win10's upgrade program and runtime. Only issue is, I'm never sure what KB update it will be hidden away in with windows updates, so I've been avoiding updates. =/ The thing people don't understand is, that by getting the free version - you are signing a contract that says you are allowing Microsoft and whatever partners they have (hi Google!) - to collect info and install various "features" without you permission. The free version forces you into a "testing group" where you get bombbarded by marketing. It's actually pretty clever. Forced adware and spyware built right into the OS - unless you are willing to officially buy the OS.2 points -
Windows 10 Visual Novel Compatiblity
Darklord Rooke and one other reacted to Tyr for a topic
The only reason you need to know to not update to Windows 10 is that it's spyware. I'm really baffled that so many people don't care about their privacy at all and happily update to an operation system which doesn't even hide that it will collect all your private data and is monitoring and logging everything you're doing. Especially if you use this system to play your chinese underaged pron games you should probably care a little bit more about privacy, just saying, lol. And the biggest joke of all is that Windows 10 compatibility for visual novels is the worst of every Windows OS yet. Like there is zero reason for anyone of you to update and hundreds of reasons to not do it. And you guys are still updating. I don't even. Why are you doing this? I really want to know. Because I just don't get it. At all. Windows 10 will always be free. That's the whole point of it. Every doubt you have is clever marketing. It's not really rocket science to understand what Microsoft is doing here...2 points -

VNs with Cut Content

Censored/cut contents. They do it for a reason so they can actually sell the game to all ages. Screw all ages version. Most people who play VNs are old enough what sex is anyway. I despise censorsorship, so I always get my VNs from the localization companies like Mangagamer, J-List or JAST if they have the 18+ versions.2 points -
What is your VN Harem?
Takeshira reacted to Arcadeotic for a topic
I thought this would be fun to do. Some of you might remember the "Your Anime Harem" (I know I don't ) that was a thing in a few anime forums. Well, here's basically the Visual Novel version of the exact same thing. So here is how this works: 1) Save this file and fill the empty spaces with the 8 best girls or waifus. The order is: 1 -> 2 -> 3 -> 4 5 -> 6 -> 7 -> 8 2) ??? 3) Profit And voila, you have a handy waifu tier-list ready. I think that this would be a fun thing to do, and of course it's all for bashing eachothers opinions To get this started, I'll start: Have fun1 point -

Hey hey, welcome to the forum! I don't think posting a video from your channel in an introduction breaks any rules. Shouldn't be a problem. I watched the one you linked and I really enjoyed it; its good. You do a good job of keeping it entertaining and you have a good introduction, it made me chuckle One thing, you end up talking a little too fast, which makes it a little hard to hear what you are saying. I don't think that can be really called 'gameplay'. I think it's just a visual representation of the consequences of your map targets and scene choices. Alice Soft released a similar game a few years ago with Oyako Rankan which seems to be much more focused on netorare, but the gameplay part itself looks very similar.1 point -

As the title above indicates, this is a story about the love life of a working adult... to be specific, a twenty-five year old salaryman named Oga Itsuki. At the beginning of the story Itsuki, who has already begun to settle into the dull exhaustion of the salaryman style of life, is awakened to just how pathetic his life is by his immediate superior, who suggests he try to change himself. The amazing thing is that he does go through with it, and it changes his fate (makes it interesting). First, I should say that this VN won't be for everyone. It has a lot of h-scenes, and the protagonist seems to attract lonely women (single and otherwise) who are desiring of a one-night-stand. He even cheats on all of the heroines at least once (though the ones after theyofficially become lovers are optional scenes). That said, this isn't a nukige... it has a bit too much story and makes too much sense for that (well, except for the fact that he attracts so many women). This VN is pretty short. I finished all the paths in about ten hours, about the same as a low-level moege. The fact that comedy and everyday slice-of-life make up only a minority of the story is pretty beneficial here, as the story of each heroine - and the common route - progresses at a good, relatively fast pace that gets down to the meat of things without a lot of side-tracking. There is no 'endless dating' period like you see with the schoolkids of your average charage, and the protagonist's relationships with the heroines are pretty interesting in and of themselves... well, amusing anyway. I can honestly recommend this to someone who is tired of the endless school romances that plague VNs but doesn't want to head off into the wilds of Chuuniland to escape it. Overall, this VN is a fun ride that is over quickly enough that it doesn't become boring or trite. The endings are pleasant and the heroines are interesting enough that it really is worth getting to know them.1 point -

Sure, but you can also make something with broccoli that actually appeals to even people who think they don't like broccoli. I recommend http://www.thugkitchen.com/roasted_chickpea_broccoli_burrito. And back on the non-metaphorical side of things, I've literally never read anything yuri and not even been more than mildly interested before, but I'll definitely be giving this a try simply because people are saying it's actually a worthwhile read. Hell, I actually went out of my way to defend this game already in another forum, months ago, where it was getting bashed sight unseen because people were assuming it was nothing more than "animated porn" (or some phrase along those lines). While I don't have any problem with nukige, I expect this to be more than nukige, and it's disappointing to see it marketed as such because it reflects negatively on the overall merit of the medium of games that include erotic content. Back to the metaphorical side, it's almost like blessing peoples' irrational hatred of broccoli, saying it's always got to be something they don't like and it inherently tastes like crap - but it doesn't. There are genuinely tasty broccoli dishes (like that one I linked - seriously, try it, it's easy, healthy, and tastes great), and there are erotic games (including yuri, yaoi, etc.,) which are more than mere pornography, and I'd really like for people to be more willing to say that with me, in the hopes that if enough people keep saying it we can someday get past the bizarre Puritanical legacy that the US especially, and to a lesser extent the rest of the modern world, has picked up over the last few hundred years.1 point -

They would indeed let us know, but seeing as how TWDarkeh has already mentioned they were planning to do all of the A-series (planning, not 100% going), it'd be weird that they'd all of a sudden cancel it anyways. Especially with the recent updates on what is going on which is A-2 Seiso, with Azumi afterwards (dependent on storyteller). Although, some people probably don't know this, so it'd probably be nice if no one spewed nonsense too Here's some Aki sample Voice Clips in A-5! http://www.minatosoft.com/majikoi-a/voice/majikoiA5-aki1.mp3 http://www.minatosoft.com/majikoi-a/voice/majikoiA5-aki2.mp3 http://www.minatosoft.com/majikoi-a/voice/majikoiA5-aki3.mp31 point

The only Key VN I actually liked was Kanon, and I’m anticipating Angel Beats to be pretty lacklustre … Then you started talking about figures, which I have no knowledge about.
