You get the full picture. Long story short, I got married so I needed maybe 3 months away from everything to do whatever else I needed to do as a bachelorette before walking down the aisle, so that was away from VNs/Fuwa/Video games for now and just enjoying living the life. There were lots of it, to the point I used the 3 months paid time off I had saved up... If that wasn't over, adjusting to a new home where I'm sharing it with a man was quite the transition. But anyways, I think I should be fine for now and I get to cheat on my husband now playing more VNs (lol he doesn't care, he knows I love them) and getting involved again with this wonderful community. ... wow, it has been a while since I've come across a VN where I can't use meta terms to explain everything. If I had to put a genre type to this, it would be 'random/comedy/ecchi'. There are a few really unique elements to this VN that I should probably explain before I go any further. First, narration in this VN is almost nonexistent... roughly 98% of the game's text is dialogue, though the h-scenes are narrated. Second, this VN makes no attempt whatsoever to be serious at any point. I'm not kidding. There are literally no serious points in this VN (I at first disliked it, then when a stuffed penguin appeared with the same brand of beer my father drinks in hand, I completely lost control and started rofling). ... which is its attraction. This VN feels a lot like an eroge-version of an American cartoon of the same type as the Simpsons or Family Guy, right down to the movie references and low humor (repeated jokes, sex humor situational comedy, and jokes related to defecation and other weirdness). There are also a huge number of old American movie references (mostly 1980's to the turn of the century) and a few references to TV shows that were old when I was born, such as the Lone Ranger. To be honest, this VN is all over the place... This VN is immensely fun if you are fine with the kind of insensitive, low humor that is common in the American cartoons I mentioned above, as well as Japanese humor. However, if you don't like that kind of thing, this will probably be pure torture. PS: All the heroines are bisexual.

If you talk about "great story" in the context of nukige, it doesn't mean the same thing as if you were talking about normal eroge. "Good" story in the context of porn means that it's a story that greatly enhances the porn. It does not mean that it's a good story in itself, because then the game wouldn't be a nukige anymore. This is a concept most people, especially Western people don't understand. For example, there is nearly no Western pron flick with a good story, because most people think that story is unnecessary in pron (such plebs!) or if they try to write a story into their porn movies, it's extremely boring, pointless, pretentious, quickly forgotten during the sex act and certainly never erotic. Asians are different. Japanese are very good at presenting porn scenes in a very erotic context. Just look at all the different JAV scenarios or thousands of pink eiga. Korean soft porn flicks are also pretty good at this. Keeping that in mind, euphoria certainly is not a nukige for example. Despite the initially high density of hentai scenes, when the story comes in, the ratio of hentai scenes drops. That's because in the case of euphoria, the hentai scenes enhance the story, not the other way around (story enhances the hentai). Well, nukige I think have a good story: Definitely Yabai which was already mentioned by @XReaper. The revenge aspect makes the hentai scenes much more satisfying and extreme. And the story parts really add to the characterization. The detective gameplay and storyline would probably not be enough for a normal eroge, in this case however it's perfect and exactly what this nukige needed. One of the best I have ever played. Everything by Amagasa, especially Virgin Load. OMG I can't even. It's just perfect. Toki o Kakeru Shojo. The storyline is great. Very dark humor, but still very interesting and actually quite cleverly written. The Yami no Koe series. It's like 90% hentai, but the scenes between are so full of characterization and development that it really makes the following hentai scenes so much more engaging.

waffle´s yabai! has some rather darn cool plot, that is if you can handle a mc playing judgement day. aside from that one most of lune´s catalogue should fit in said category. edit: almost forgot me obligatory mentioning amagasa´s nukige, which DO have a cool story and dont neglect fleshing out their cast and making dialogues great, such as in virgin load & midnight hymns2. most of their other titles are no nukige, more semi-archaic fantasy stories, that feature (cool)fights, whores whoring around, assholes & brothels. by the way all of amagasa´s recent releases are fully voiced (starting from prince of red lake), incl. mc + some do have quite nice cutscenes to them. btw: if you may happen to be interested in those 2 latter titles, then please support the devs by buying them, so they can continue doing their best. thank you

I also got asked to join the revived Witch’s Garden TL project as a Proofreader/QC’er over at Luna Translations now that I’m free and personally, I really like the game, so I’m happy of being asked to do it. If you want, I’ll leave a link to their translation blog here and you can find them on the bottom of the front page too. The editing’s progressing at a steady page and QC’s still perpetually frozen in place, but that isn’t a big deal at this point yet. I’ll also finish the image editing and minor tweaking soonish. Hmm, maybe I should keep watching it too. I dropped Bakemonogatari after 7 episodes because it was a pain to sit through, in one of the episodes 80% of the time is spent on meaningless banter between the MC and Senjougahara at the park. The stories themselves weren't really confusing per se, but I didn't understand things well either, so I didn't feel like there was much significance behind them. Is there supposed to be some overarching theme or idea? Or is it just random stories? (I mean, that's kind what the title implies xD)

Still not, but at least I knew about this a little more that Princess X had something more than just some random monster girl nukige only as my earlier impression. Yeah hearing h-scenes in Tagalog would be freaky/strange for me. If I say "Ang laki ng titi mo!" (Your dick is so huge!), I would immediately think of nipples now instead of dick (titi is dick in Tagalog). So it would confuse the shit out of me since I'm like an "Americanized" Filipino girl now.

Whoever says that has not paid attention to the series, clearly. The reason why it may come across as confusing at first is because of Shaft's particular animation style alongside NisiOisiN's somewhat crazy dialogues. But you do not need to have a deep understanding of Japanese culture to enjoy the series. I actually own the first novel, Kizumonogatari, in English and it's perfectly readable by anyone with half a brain. It starts making more sense later on because things actually get explained. The first arc is kind of confusing because you're just thrown into the action with no proper background. The thing is, the arcs in the monogatari series are not in chronological order, that's why I'm saying things make more sense later on because you'll have arcs that happened before Bakemonogatari. The humor might miss the mark sometimes because some of it is based around kanji puns, but for the most part, the subs did a decent job of carrying the comedy. And the official light novel translation by Vertical Inc is one of the best translations of a light novel I've ever seen as well. Of course there's always a dash of mystery in it the whole time, but that's also why it's fun imo. I really do think the monogatari series is super fun if you can get into its quirky dialogues and character interactions. But if after a while you're not having fun, then I guess it's just not for you.

Just got yet another port request basically running. This time it's Kyonyuu Fantasy - running NekoPack / NekoSDK / NEKOSDK_ADVSCRIPT2 engine. Obligatory screenshot: Most basic things like backgrounds / sprites / texts / voices / background music work. Partial English translation is "made by Zyxas. Special thanks to xtenext." This particular VN is actually quite a number for me, because it's the first one that I'm doing completely blind: I couldn't make it run on any of my Windows desktops, so I just dug in and tried to guess whatever's going on. As always, feel free to request demos. As far as I understand, Mangagamer's official translation is going on to happen somewhere in 2016, so nobody's interested in translating it into English anymore?

I have no idea if there are anyone translating vns in Filipino. As far as I know, people who read vns are likely to be pretty fluent in English so I don't think anyone's doing that here. Besides, like Tagalog dubbed stuff, people would just think it's weird to read a VN in Filipino. It's weird enough to read bestsellers in Filipino actually.

When I opened Fuwanovel sometime after Tay's "scientific" experiment I happened to notice something was off. After extensive research I came to the conclusion a couple of posts are missing. This is clearly a problem with the site and I am, therefore, making a thread in the section of the forum dedicated to "Reporting Site Problems". I have, however, another problem. Tay has yet to make his typical thread telling all Fuwans to panic and riot, and this is rather alarming. Without Tay's thread I feel completely lost and terrified. It's horrible. I'm about to panic here. I sincerely ask that a thread be made post-haste indicating who we should blame (clearly Nosebleed*), why, how, where, when, and teaching us how to panic and riot properly. That is all. Fixing the rollback is entirely optional. *Nosebleed has claimed he isn't to blame. While this is clearly suspect, an addendum shall be added as a show of good faith. This is said addendum.
