Are you crazy? All people with an opinion that differs from mine should be forcibly converted or exterminated. Whichever comes first. Incidentally, if you're thinking about voting for the Vita port, I'd recommend you keep an eye out. A lot of accidents can happen these days.5 points -

Windows is not a computer, it's an OS (short for Operating System) ... Mac is short for Macintosh and it's developed by Apple, this one is a computer, and it also has its own OS (for example OS X is an OS for Macintosh) ... Linux is an OS too ... There are many operating systems out there for different purposes and different classifications for each ... OS is not hardware, it's software, that's the major difference so OS ≠ computer ... Windows is not universal computer, it's an OS, and it's used widely by general PC users so you might get an impression that it's universal but it's not, many people use different operating systems ... I, for example, also use Ubuntu (which is a distro of Linux) and Windows 7 ...2 points -
@Dergonu this is real life http://natalie.mu/comic/news/209352 It's actually happening. Thank god they adapted something besides that Netsuzou Trap garbage (which I can't believe is getting an anime still).2 points

Gusha no Kyouben [UPDATED]
Chronopolis reacted to Clephas for a blog entry
First, I should say that I have no taste for loli-shota whatsoever, so I'm going to drop this now that I've finished one of the paths and gotten a feel for what this VN is like. So... this turned out to actually be a loli-shota game, despite my hopes otherwise. I have no idea of what Akabeisoft is thinking, turning its main child brand into a sub-brand that produces random games, but I can honestly say that I wish they would stick to one or two genres... Now, this is one VN that has no business being localized outside of Japan. I say this because all the characters are blatantly underage until after the climax (after-story I saw so far was decent). They even refer to themselves as kids and they are immature right down to the voices. As such, I very much wanted to drop this VN inside the prologue. However, I'd promised I'd finish this one, if only to see if they would escape that... and they didn't. Now, I'll say that the idea for the story, in itself, is not awful. This kind of 'Home Alone' style setup is pretty amusing, and if this were an all-ages title, I might have been able to sit back and enjoy it. However, the inclusion of h-content was a huge downer in this case, at least for me... The characters all have their problems with adults, ranging from Orino's insanely controlling parents to the teachers' betrayal of Sen. For that matter, the protagonist has his own abusive environment to deal with. As a result, you end up with a bunch of characters who have unified around defiance of the adults in their lives by fortifying a run down love hotel, which was funny in and of itself. Is this game amusing and interesting? Yes? Is it something I'd recommend? Not in its current form. Update: To be clear, I didn't drop this because it was boring... I just happen to have a distaste for shota-loli focused content... In addition, considering things just from the plot and setting, this game really is interesting. Unfortunately, its possibilities are stunted by only focusing on the characters during that one period of their lives, when it would have been more interesting to see how their personalities evolved as they became adults... To be blunt, the writer went for a loli-shota thing when he could have actually made a first-rate VN story, just based on his writing and the way he presents the characters and setting. Another option he could have chosen would be to go for the all-ages route, where he would have been able to tell the characters' stories in more detail (the hints he drops about the male characters' problems are tantalizing) while discarding the hindrance of h-content (no, I'm not a prude... I just think straight-out loli-shota is distasteful).1 point -
Nintendo Switch: What are your thoughts?
mitchhamilton reacted to EastCoastDrifter for a topic
Yeah, the external memory cards are a poor marketing decision on Sony's part. They always come separately so if you didn't do your research beforehand, you would end up with really low storage capacity for your games. I'm hoping Nintendo has learned this lesson, though given the 3DS's internal memory, it shouldn't be an issue.1 point -
Nintendo Switch: What are your thoughts?
mitchhamilton reacted to EastCoastDrifter for a topic
People have been saying that for years ever since the Wii came out because for some odd reason, they think Nintendo doesn't hold up to its competitors. But the Wii was actually the top-selling console of its generation, and even though the Wii U hasn't sold well, it wasn't exactly a failure either thanks to hits like Smash and Splatoon. I doubt the Switch will be the final nail in Nintendo's coffin because at this point, it's becoming a reoccurring trend for people to speculate those sort of things.1 point -

That's my favorite part of the story and I'm glad they decided to incorporate it with the main game, like the japaneses did with the 360 port. The ending is magnificent1 point -

Next VN I should read
Benji Price reacted to Silvz for a topic
Not only is good, but it is the direct sequel. It has its own story and it also continues the main plot from the first game's ending. If you liked KnS, you have to play the second one Believe me, after finishing the first one you will want to know what happened after it, as KnS doesn't have a tied up ending. Cartagra comes before KnS, where that other detective [whose name I forgot] is the MC. I recommend you to read it before KnS 2, since the latter does A LOT of references to Cartagra (and even share some characters that are not present in KnS]1 point -

Yeah there's definitely an immediate feel of downgrade when you go from the PSP version to the PC one. It's a shame that they couldn't port the PSP assets over and make a completely new PC version using them.1 point

not entirely true, yeah the FD routes FOR THE GIRLS are pretty meh, but the Houzuki backstory is really good and clears a lot of stuff up tbh. Dont just go out there and label it all shit.1 point

I honestly don't understand the differences between Windows, PC, Mac, Linux, etc. I mean, they're all computers right? This has baffled me for years as to why there are different types of these when I've always thought Windows was the universal computer.1 point -

Here's the thing though, Moenovel is a Pulltop subsidiary, so I'm assuming they're publishing their games, but if the assumption I made earlier is correct, then it has to be a game that came out after Cocoro@Function (which was released in 2013) These are the games that came after that: Koisuru Natsu no Last Resort (no BG like that in it) Kono Oozora ni, Tsubasa o Hirogete Snow Presents (Same thing as before) Kanojo to Ore to, Koisuru Resort (etc.) (Can't be this one since it's a fandisc of multiple other ones) Cocoro@Function! NEO (No BG like that in this one) Mirai Kanojo (Again no BG like that) Natsuiro Recipe (No BG like that yet again) Miagete Goran, Yozora no Hoshi o (And once more no BG like that) Miagete Goran, Yozora no Hoshi o (fandisc of the former so nope) Yakimochi Kanojo no Ichizu na Koi (Couldn't find the BGs for this but it's a nukige so super unlikely) This leads me to believe it might not be a Pulltop game this time around. Unless I did something wrong in my research or my earlier assumption is totally wrong and it is an earlier title, which if that's the case, then whoever drew the background is a psychic and figured out Wakaba Girl was gonna have an anime in 2015.1 point

What I can say is this: it's not a matter of not releasing mosaic-free because we don't feel like it, or because we're too cheap, or because we don't think it's important. If it was feasible for us to be offering the game mosaic-free, we would be. I don't have the most up-to-the-minute info on every single factor that made it not possible, and I'll see what I can do about further explanations (no promises, though), but if it were something we could change we absolutely would have done so before relaunching the campaign.1 point -

Well, to some extent there's Naoko Matsui, who some might recognize as Sonoko from Detective Conan and Dorothy from Gundam Wing: https://vndb.org/s1668 She's also done some acting in hentai OVAs like the Angel Blade series (will we ever get a sequel to Punish?), Sexorcist/Ningyo Tsukai and Angel of Darkness/Inju Kyoshi. Kikuko Inoue (who most would know was Belldandy from Ah My Goddess) apparently has been in few: https://vndb.org/s473 Ikue Otani who some of you might know as Pikachu from Pokemon and Chopper from One Piece, did play a heroine in the first To Heart game: https://vndb.org/c5883 Not sure if she did the voice for the original 18+ version, but seeing as she has been in a few hentai OVAs (such as Cool Devices and Toshin Toshi 2 OVA)...1 point -

Infernoplex reacted to Conjueror for a topic
ChuSinGura46+1 is like 60 hours long and has five ero scenes which are utterly terrible. The game is actually gonna be improved by cutting them out. Like, even FSN's sex scenes are a billion times more relevant to your enjoyment of the work. xD ...and I usually like ero in my VNs.1 point
