This is basically just a shower thought I came up with some time ago in the Skype-group, after reading a manga short with that exact premise. But it leads to some interesting decision making. The deal is very easy; Through some unrealistic and reality-bending means, you are able to summon a heroine from any VN you've read into the real world. The catch? The summoned girl is the heroine you liked the least out of the chosen title. (For the sake of wish-fulfillment, she can be in love with you) Fun to ponder about, because you optimally choose a VN in which your least favorite choice isn't too far away from your favorite choice. On a slightly deeper level, I like this scenario, because it forces you to remember VNs you've read by how many of the characters were evenly balanced in terms of quality and taste, rather than which title simply had your favorite character. So, which Visual Novel do you choose and who do you end up with? Feel free to post your result, list some pros/cons and exchange your support and/or disdain with the choices of others. Annotations: 1. The terms "girl" and "heroine" are interchangeable here. Otome readers can obviously nominated their least favorite boy and what have you. 2. Choosing a VN with only two, one or even less characters to choose from is not allowed. However, this thread isn't limited to romance.

No one will be surprised to hear, but the re-launched campaign just hit 100% funded on their $80k goal. We'll see if they make the stretch goals now, I suppose, but I don't think I'm especially interested in any of them, so it's all the same to me. I'm rather looking forward to this one, since I never played the old release (and certainly have no intention to do so now). On the one hand, August 2017 is a long way off still, but it's not a ton of time on the scale of VN localization; sounds like a tough but achievable goal.

Will the text censorship be reverted as well? The censorship from ~Amantes amentes~ unrelated to ero content will be reverted to the way it was in Acta est Fabula (the 18+ version). Censored text will be reverted to the way it was in Acta est Fabula as well (however, all these restorations will have to fall in line with Steam's policies). Q: When do you plan to release the 18+ patch? We plan to release the 18+ patch about three months after the Steam version is released. Q: How will the CG resizing be handled? Dies irae was already given the HD treatment for the Japanese Android version release. The game was updated at that time. The CGs were cropped and the screen could be scrolled up and down, all to ensure that it all fit on the whole screen. However, in response to demand from those who want the full-sized CGs from the 4:3 era, we shall include a 4:3 version with the game. They may not have the rights to the Amantes amentes OP. It's also possible that they never had the rights to Amantes amentes to begin with, and it was just a codeword for "Dies Irae without the 18+ content".

Hi Everyone! We are very sorry if the "Season pass" term usage is confusing! We just wanted to use a very familiar choice of words to show our intentions, to release free expansive DLC content. I would include these DLC's in our main story but due to development hic up's we are forced to add expansions on a later date. Now that i think about it our behavior can be easily misunderstood as an attempt to act cool like: "wow we are nobody but let's use Season pass so we can look like one of those big games out there!" It's just not like it, i can assure that. We decided to use it because it looked like a fast way to incorporate a list of DLCs and stuff. Thank you very much for your time!

Another update: A youtube video appeared. It's the Also sprach Zarathustra OP, but more interesting is the English description: Now, this appears to be an edit of the original description, which used to have a broken link. I don't know the details of why this video was posted, but it seems like it may have been so on accident or something? Regardless, they're saying that the prefundia will be up in a few days, and they'll also start their social media promotion then as well. I also have concerns with this being the Also sprach Zarathustra OP instead of the Amantes Amantes OP. Hopefully this means that they'll release both versions, and not that they're choosing ASZ over AA just because a handful of people complained about the lack of boobs. I don't want to speculate much more on that until they've started their actual promotional campaign, we'll likely get answers soon.

Anyway, after applying that rule myself and carefully looking through my VNDB, although G-Senjou was a very strong contender in this contest, I landed on Rewrite as the game I've played with Best Worst Girl, leaving me stuck with: Pros: I actually do find the clumsy thing cute; I like redheads; worst-case scenario, deploy the Chihaya Beam. Cons: Sakuya probably wouldn't approve of me; she's got a pretty boring personality

Eh, I didn't mean to. Call it a game, who cares? I'll pick DEARDROPS (not just because I love it or anything, baka) and Kanade. I genuinely don't dislike any of the heroines in it, but Kanade is too much of a domestic moeblob for my tastes. I wanted to pick Chaos;Head and Nanami as my first choice, but it technically doesn't have any heroine routes (and Nanami is technically Takumi's sister... well, as much as it's possible, considering the spoilerifics), so it doesn't count.

@Novel21 Huh, I haven't played it, though I have heard of it. I'm currently playing Togainu no Chi [ saw the anime when I was younger, didn't even realize it was an N+C game until last week! ]. The art style of Break Chance looks interesting, and the plot sounds pretty damned good, too. T____T we're debating on rethinking our core plot with the Company and everything since it's been done so much. But seeing as how it's kind of just the glue that holds each character's story together, it's proving a bit tricky. The main 'element' in our game I guess are the Voidwalkers and the Boundary breaking down. How does the time traveling thing work in BCM, out of curiosity?

Why would a game being legitimately released ever be a bad thing?

Had some free time in a while and went and got myself Odin Sphere Leifthrasir, since thanks to vita being portable I at least have some chances to play something. And it's pretty damn good, which is to be expected from a Vanillaware game. Gameplay is fast and fluid, and even if it's bit on the simple side in terms of variety it plays so well that it doesn't even matter. (and keep in mind that I've only touched 1 out of the 5 characters, each with their own unique moves and abilities) Playing on hard makes it good and enjoyable ballet of death; you are strong and there's plenty of defensive tools available, but carelessness and mindless approach gets you killed fast. They've certainly fine tuned the difficulty since Dragon's Crown and Muramasa, as Odin Sphere is so far their most satisfying game, in terms of pure gameplay. And as always, the game looks fantastic. The fantasy worlds the artist at Vanillaware make are unbelievable and the attention to detail in their hand drawn graphics are mind blowing. Too bad there's not as much food porn and not in as much detail like in the previous games, but other than it's one treat for the eyes. The story is pretty fantastic as well, a Japanese take on Shakespearean play or European Opera. It's filled with classic tragedy and the characters talk like they are on stage, and I love it! The presentation and concept makes the story way better than it would be if it was portrayed "normally". It being a play means it can take some liberties, like you wouldn't expected people to talk the same way in a movie or a classical play, same goes for types of characters and concepts. And I don't know, maybe it's just me but I love people having dramatic monologues about their tragic love. Some parts reminded me of Sakurai's works and that's always a good thing. Can't wait to see what the other characters stories have in store for me and how they are going to intervene. As bonus, it not that uncommon to have voice actors in similar roles in different games, but hearing pure and gallant Valkyrie (same seiyuu as Saber) refusing to became an arrogant king's (Gilgamesh) mistress is rather amusing.

It's a dreary, rainy day, and my usual Destiny-playing buddy won't be online for a couple weeks, and I found myself looking at a couple different games: Earlier, I played some more Tales of Edn— I mean, Tales of Zestiria. I've decided I really enjoy it. The plot is a little on the thin side, but the characters are lovable and masterfully written (and the translation is godly, I seriously can't get over it), and the gameplay is entertaining. That's more than most games deliver. I was looking at my Steam library and found that I own Recettear, but still have never played it. I'm going to try to remedy that today.
