Hello, Goodbye Steam Storepage Removed
Dreamysyu and one other reacted to solidbatman for a topic
The problem here isn't Valve banning the games. Fact of the matter is that it is their storefront and they can absolutely dictate what is allowed to be sold and what isn't. That falls completely under their rights as a company. The larger issue at hand is the absolutely inconsistent method that they use to dictate what can and can't be sold. We've seen over the past few months Steam go from not allowing 18+ patches, to allowing uncensored porn on steam, back to even nuking the games from orbit. Valve needs to set up a uniform policy here and stop flip flopping back and forth.2 points -
Song of Saya getting official novelization and continuation by Ootsuki Suzuki
Happiness+ and one other reacted to Rain Spectre for a topic
What's even the point of writing a continuation anyway? Literally the entire story was resolved by the time it was finished, and it would require some insane plot gymnastics to continue. Hell, that's what I consider one of its major strengths, despite the short length, the whole work feels fully cohesive and natural. Why Ootsuki was picked I have no clue.2 points -
A'ight this is kind of a pain but I think I figured it out. You'll need to install 2 things if you don't have them already: Go language compiler - https://golang.org/doc/install Git - https://git-scm.com/downloads For the first part you'll need to run the following commands in cmd: go get github.com/regomne/eutil/codec and go get github.com/regomne/eutil/textFile These two libraries are required for building/running the cst.go file. If you open the file in a text editor you'll see they're imported at the top of the file. Then in cmd navigate to the folder that has cst.go in it. PATH/TO/chinesize/CatSystem/cstTextProc. Then you can build the .go file like this: go build cst.go That should drop an exe file called cst.exe in the same folder which you run through cmd by inputting its name. It says that to extract text you use the -e argument. So to extract a script you'd write this: cst.exe -e nameOfScriptFile.cst EDIT: The above extract command is WRONG. See @Shinya's reply on April 1 2019 for the correct syntax. All other steps are correct.1 point

Welcome to Fuwanovel, and I see that you took a liking to Akari from Soukoku no Arterial based on your avatar. I understand though, because back then Akari was one of two reasons of why I did attempt to play Arterial despite the messiness of the narration translation, and as for anther reason it was because the card battle gameplay in which it resembled Yu-Gi-Oh. As for the recommendations, perhaps you may try some title such as Root Double and Shibuya Scramble although if you want some lighter one, then you can try Dracu Riot. I hope that you'll have fun here.1 point -

Eeeeh... definitely not interested in this. *Looks at the other things Ootsuki Suzuki wrote* Wow, now I'm even less interested, never thought it was possible!1 point -
First route cleared! I decided to go with Miyazawa, a.k.a. Mother Teresa in a school uniform. It was ok. Yukine is a charming girl, that’s for certain. Just a tad bland for my tastes, that’s all. Kinda disappointed that nothing really happened during the route, too. Then again, I’ve heard that it’s one of the smaller “side routes”, so I hope that the other ones will deliver more on that front... I’m debating doing Mei next. I mean, she’s Sunohara’s little sister, can’t go wrong with that ^^ Yeah, I still love him and Tomoya XD A pair of fuckin’ idiot children, they’re great. I hope there’s some good fanfiction out there Oh yeah, since I’m at it: I’m really glad that this route didn’t turn into some love triangle drama, as I feared it would. I mean, I guess love triangles are ok if I’m the one making the choice, but to rival Sunohara would just feel… Wrong, you know? So kudos for that, I guess ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ On to the next one~! EDIT:1 point

Yeah, that might be good too. However playing her route first also makes sense from her character development's POV. Whatever the case, Michiru is best to be last from the remaining routes. I went (Chisato) - Satsuki - Isara - Mifuyu - Michiru.1 point

Just ignore people complaining about the main heroine and enjoy the game.1 point

Anybody knows Koichoco ?

This. Some parts of it are divisive (to say the least) but IMO it was one of the better VNs I've read this year and I agree with adamstan - it's definitely worth a read. Just do yourself a favor and watch the anime (if you decide to) after reading the VN, and not before.1 point -
Higurashi Arc discussion
Happiness+ reacted to BunnyAdvocate for a topic
Higurashi Rei came out after the original 8 arcs and is split into 3 stories, the first two are just comedic and aren't translated (although you can watch the anime versions with subtitles), but the third one has a fan translation and is well worth reading, especially if you go on to read Umineko as it explains the background of a certain character that reappears there. You can get the patch via vndb here: https://vndb.org/r92071 point -

I like your enthusiasm but, don't just practice it alone. Make sure to use the kanji's etc. in your daily life. I talk with my japanese friends to practice it with both texting and voice chatting and it's very helpful/useful than just reading stuff alone. Also my advice is don't try memorizing everything because it's impossible and you'll forget it, so focus on the meanings and visualize them on your mind. For example make up a story inside your head with the kanji's meanings and shapes. Lastly never skip anything, like the onyomi and kunyomi readings. 何よりいい考えです、僕も応援してます!1 point

Aiyoku no Eustia Translation Project (Partial Patch is Out!)
bloodless08 reacted to eplipswich for a topic
Still working on the playtesting part. I'm checking things on my end first, but I'm getting closer to finishing it. Then I can send to QC. Hopefully, we can still release the partial patch by the end of the year. Fingers crossed!1 point -
Their reply basically means that they will only release it on their own site, no? Or am I misunderstanding what you mean?1 point
