Your favorite voice actors/actresses?
mitchhamilton and one other reacted to ittaku for a topic
Absolutely. The goddess of voice acting. Her voice is so heart warming and has spanned a whole generation. From the only good character in the original To Heart, to the classic Tsundere Naru Narusegawa in Love Hina, right through to everyone's favourite cat goddess Tsubasa Hanekawa. Also Saori Hayami's voice is sexy AF, especially since oregairu and did this one amazing stretch in just one take in inou Battle2 points -

Okay, so we got into contact with the person from 4chan. No, there's no overlap with the projects. They don't have a TL, and what Marcus did for the tech stuff is already beyond what they've achieved themselves, so instead they are gonna join us. Also, an update regarding names... @DisplayName informed me that Shachi's name should be romanized as Shachi Yuuri, not Yuri like it's in the settings menu. They got it wrong in the settings, but inside the game, they used the full romanization.2 points -
Based on the post they don't have an actual translator anymore but are looking for one. They are pretty much just doing all the tech work(hacking and text insertion). I'm sure if you contact them they'd be more than happy to have you do translations otherwise it sound like they'll just use a machine translator(probably googles auto-translator).2 points

How the hell did Yui Horie not make this list? I get that there are way too many godly seiyuu out there to fit on a single poll, but still.2 points -

Mashiro iro Symphony has been the top of my wishlist for as long as I've known about it. At some point though it became a top motivator for learning Japanese. If it ever gets translated, I probably won't read it in English although I would probably back a physical version kickstarter if they decide to do one of those since the physical Japanese version is kinda expensive.1 point

It got picked up officially, but there haven't been any updates about it for ages. And it was announced by Degica, and it looks like they broke their partnership with the original developer, so it's most likely dead at this point. But I do hope that I'm wrong, of course. Anyway, I voted for several VNs in this list. I'll add a few others that I hope to see translated at some point, even if it's highly unlikely: "Hello, world." Owarinaki Natsu, Towa Naru Shirabe and other Age games Koisuru Otome to Shugo no Tate - The Code Name is "Shield 9" Spitan Spirits Expedition -in the Phantasmagoria- (though in this case I would heavily prefer if an all-ages version is available)1 point -
Ah, right, it seems I got my Ries mixed up . AFAIK, some people claim that those characters are new subgroup - tsunderie1 point

Nah that's Kugimiya Rie, the tsundere queen. She also has other prominent roles like Louise from Zero no Tsukaima, Shana from Shakugan no Shana, and Alphonse Elric from Fullmetal Alchemist. For those who play Granblue Fantasy, she also voices Vyrn and Vampy. For my favorites, gotta be Hanazawa Kana. I'm a sucker for her moe roles, particularly those of Onodera Kosaki from Nisekoi and Sengoku Nadeko from the Monogatari Series. Because of her famous roles, she's being given a lot of roles per season, so I understand if people say they're kinda sick of seeing her in every damn seiyuu casting. I would too, if I was watching seasonal shows. Another would be Sakamoto Maaya. To be honest, I kinda started noticing her after I began to like the characters she voiced in Granblue Fantasy (Arulumaya and Dark Angel Olivia), but her roles in different anime are pretty good too. I really liked her portrayal of Haruhi from Ouran High School Host Club and Oshino Shinobu from the Monogatari Series. For male VAs, definitely Takehito Koyasu. Can't go wrong with Dio Brando's VA. Also noticed he voiced Excalibur from Soul Eater too? Goddamn that's beautiful. I like how his voice flows. So manly. Jun Fukayama is excellent too. I like the kind of characters he voices (Lelouch from Code Geass, Joker from P5) and how different they are in contrast with his character in Granblue Fantasy (Quatre). Can't begin to imagine what kind of vocal cord shredding happens when he shouts his lines. Not too familiar with VAs in eroges, tbh. I didn't take notice of them too much. I find it fascinating that some of them (like Kadowaki Mai and Asakawa Yuu) can be found in a number of games though lol. Looking forward to playing more eroges with Kadowaki Mai in them.1 point

I wonder if they changed any of the things I memed about in the trial https://twitter.com/i/moments/887601776240857089 ...probably not any of the weeb language, to my despair... Oh well, I'm a JOP, it's not like LiS would ever make anything I'd want to read at this point.1 point -
Wakamoto Norio. Definitely one of my favorites too. He also voiced the Emperor in Code Geass, the general from Muv-luv Unlimited and Alternative (whose's name i can't remember). Then there's Jun Fukuyama, because he has the most charismatic voice I've ever heard (IMO), mainly as Maou and Lelouch, but for example Lawrence from Spice and Wolf was memorable too. Mizusawa Kei, because of all the things that were already mentioned Miyano Mamoru, because noone else could have pulled off Kira and Hououin Kyouma as well as him1 point

Ugh, so many seiyuus that I couldn't remember now, but now I can say (from the list) my favorites one are Yukari Tamura, Saito Chiwa, Sawashiro Miyuki... I like Michiru's seiyuu from Grisaia, Beatrice from ReZero, Tsundere Queen, Rie Kugimiya I think... Oh, Horie Yui too! Uni's seiyuu from Neptunia, Araragi from Monogatari...1 point -

This is generally the case for me as well. There are a few I tend to recognize whenever I hear them, though. The ones I can think of off the top of my head are: Kadowaki Mai, who does Illya in Fate Tanaka Ryouko, who does Yumiko in Grisaia Taguchi Hiroko, who does Amane in Grisaia Konishi Katsuyuki, who does Sakuya in Rewrite (I most recently recognized his voice in Yakuza 0) (The characters I listed above are the ones I most strongly associate those voice actors with.)1 point -
Spring 2019 Anime Discussion
ittaku reacted to Plk_Lesiak for a topic
This season is kind of one giant disappointment, isn't it? There were hardly any masterpiece-materials to begin with, but even with the things I enjoyed... The Rising of the Shield Hero pretty much fully derailed itself by the end with how useless it make the other heroes to be and generally how dumb and irrelevant the whole supporting cast became. I'd love it if it was the story of shield hero overcoming these extreme challenges and his own hatred for the world he was summoned to, but making him this OP and some kind of beacon of righteousness was so dumb. Another isekai show that starts intriguingly but then just devolves into all the tired tropes and shotty storytelling that does not respects its own setting and rules of its world. Senko-san was kind of fun, but I also abhor the way it ended. So you have a salaryman that gets exploited in his work every day to the point of exhaustion, blame himself for not being able to do the f**** impossible for his shithead boss and coworkers, have no time and energy for human interaction and nearly goes crazy because of it. And what's the answer? Changing his job? Connecting with actual people? No, a fox loli from the sky that will slave for him in his house. I would love this show if Senko's presence led to him actually changing his life and pushing him into a position where her constant pampering is no longer necessary. But I guess that would mean him actually having dignity, rather than just putting a bandaid over the abuse he's receiving. Japanese work culture is a f***** cancer. Also, a (dis)honourable mention goes to Joushikausei, the worst short comedy anime I've ever seen. And yeah, there are many bad ones, but God that was dreadful - possibly the worst possible manga to adapt into an anime (no dialogue, awkward fanservice etc.) and done in an even worse way than it had to be. This should be freakin' criminalized.1 point -
I've found out how to decompile and compile. First, Furikiri seems to be the only decompiler that exists for tjs, everything else is a dissembler. You can learn the difference here: https://ulysseswu.azurewebsites.net/post/Furikiri The main thing to know is that you can't use a compiler successfully on a dissembled tjs, only a decompiled one. I have uploaded the exes here, for people who don't know how to build it: https://mega.nz/#!3HZWTS4L!CFJ2xBI8hhHCPlcLfUz2ySvD725W6MFlg4_4WpSht1o To use girigiri.exe open the command line with shift + right click, then type "girigiri (tjs name + extension) --dec", or use --help to see all the commands. For compiling, I recommend xmoe's compiler over the official ctjs2: https://github.com/xmoeproject/KrkrExtract/releases (download from releases and the exe will be under Tool Sources) After you decompile you also have to change the encoding to UTF 16 (/ UCS 2) LE BOM. Like it says on the blog post, the decompiler will not usually work if the tjs is complex but this is the only option, overall I wouldn't recommend doing this if you can use use this instead: https://github.com/marcussacana/KrKrZSceneManager1 point
